I think Povetkin will have loads of early success but Perez will hang around and it'll be a VERY tough fight. Potentially fight of the year candidate here....brilliant style matchup IMO
Re: Povetkin vs Perez today...
^I agree but I think it will be a late Povetkin knockout!
WAR BATTLESHIP POVETKIN!

He did stop Takam pretty nicely AND late in the fight too. I think he's got a great chance vs Wilder.
Re: Povetkin vs Perez today...
Leapai the worst ever challenger to the heavyweight title?

Maybe....still he WAS a mandatory challenger a fact that's yet to process through that thick ginger noggin of yours
Re: Povetkin vs Perez today...
Is 240 any lighter than Perez has been coming in, or around the same? He looked ok at the weigh in, might not even be a matter of his weight at all, but he has to be ready to fight 12 hard rounds here. Should be a very good HW fight, one of the better clashes one could have put together in the division imo.

In his split decision loss to Bryant Jennings Perez weighed in at 242 & 1/4 pounds. Also his last fight vs Darnell Wilson he weighed 231 & 1/2 pounds....so he seems to yoyo between 240 & 230

Fuck I figured a KO for Povetkin but not that quick and easy.
Re: Povetkin vs Perez today...
So is Povetkin next up for Wilder?

I mean WTF did Perez think he was accomplishing with that pawing right hand??
That is.... besides giving Povetkin the range finder to catch his lazy ass with big right hands.
Easy night's work for Povetkin.
Re: Povetkin vs Perez today...
That was unthinkable to me. Just explosive stuff!

Rigondeux sets himself up like that too but obviously with a higher regard for defence.
