mines a right hook whats yours
Left hook !
jab or straight right i would say jab as i cn hit more accuratly with the jab even if its slightly less powerful than my right hand
Left hook too. Right uppercut ain't bad either :P
Left hook! I got a pretty good right cross too
right hook, no doubt
It used to be my left hook, then my right uppercut, straight hand in terms of power; straight hand, left hook/uppercut in terms of accuracy and what was easiest for me as a counter.
Now that I am aged and in poor health, my best shot is to find a stronger, healthier friend and tell them some one is picking on me.
straight right, got more power in my straight right than some ppl will give me credit for and its reasonablly quick.
In terms of power, my right hook to the body. Technically my Cross is probably my best punch, need to work on my jab abit.
I use to be preety equal but a broken collarbone and a ligament problem in my wrist has messed with thats. My left hook stands out, i have been told a will have a morrison left hook. ;D  :) O0 8)
rights hands to the body and head.
as far as i am conerned the right hands are the only way to go. they slip punches simply on their own and when thrown to the body (plexus, left kidney) are uncounterable except by one punch, but its never used anymore i.e try as you might you cant slip a straight right to your solar plexus. the real trick is when i set you up so that you walk dead into it none the wiser, but thats a whole other matter. right hands in general are extremely versatile and can be used in virtually all of the 'initiate -- > counter' sequences in boxing. the left hook by comparison is very limited in what it can do for you only making up for a small number of the 'initiate --> counter' sequences of the sport. i actually created a diagram for all of this and i'll see if i can dig it up.
straight right
fastest punch
you can't block what you can't see
and what hurts the most are the ones you don't see
lightning strikes twice!! BAMMM!!! BAMMM!!!!
you dead suckaaa
^^ hahaha
my left hook is my best punch, but my straight right is also very powerful. they perfectly set eachother up!
I'd say the right hook to the body, it feels like the shot that I can most solidly deliver
jab by a mile
Drunk punch!!! 8)
the right straight you get your hips into and i love that punch cos its fast and wen you hit the pad it makes that 'duuuuuuuum' sound and you feel happy everytime ;D
right hand cross
Right hook to the body.
My favorite and best, Left Hook, no doubt.
Right Hook, i can openly admit that i'm not the best technically and spend most of the fight looking for a chance but when i do land i know it hurts the opponent
Left hook is my most solid punch it is very powerful
Straight right, as well as left hook to the body. I'll often throw them together. If I'm going to follow up with a left hook, I throw my right to the head while bringing my body down to wind up for the left to the liver. If I execute it properly, their mind and gloves are upstairs, while I'm delivering the boom through the side door.
My moneypunch is right jab.
My left jab.
mine use to be the left hook but i have had a nagging shoulder for 3weeks and cant put power into it. so i have to say my straight right.
Right overhand cross
amazing how many people have great left hooks... the hardest punch to learn.
I call bullshit. 8)
straight right and left hook.
I agree, it is the hardest to learn. BUT that doesnt mean once youve learnt it (and after lots of training), it cant be your best punch.Quote:

cc back
Actually lately on the heavy bag,Ive been working hard on my left handed power shots, one of the fighters I train/spar with is a southpaw, and without crisp power from that side, their able to press my left arm making it effectivly useless
I can land the right cross allmost at will, but thats a loaded up power shot, you cant live on hoping to point that way if it comes to it.
My best punch used to be my cross, but now my strongest is my left hook.
Cross is coming back though but just last power for a while.
My jab would be my second most powerful punch (as messed up as that is) even though i didn't really have one at all until a year ago. I use it the most too so I'll go with the jab.
NO WAY is the left hook the hardest to learn - at least for me - a left hook to the head just flows off the jab cross as long as I get distancing right moving in.Quote:

What do you think is the hardest to learn Adam?
I'm really suprised Von finds hooks the hardest!
I guess in most gyms I've gone to body shots were the last thing to be taught too.
I always thought head hunters were common in boxing because hitting the head is usually easier?
I guess I just one of those rare people that hasn't had any trouble throwing a hook to begin with. The only thing is setting it up, or waiting for the opportunity to slip and counter. Great hooks is another thing, most people throw their hooks the same way which makes it much more predictable and easier to counter.
I like left hooks, but to be honest I prefer right hands, they're much easier to set up.
Actually Feur, has a natural hook,it took me forever to get her to understand the overhand crossQuote:
