It shows that it takes a lot more than a boat load of money to take over an industry. You need a real genuine knowledge of the industry and it doesn't seem like 50 had that when you look at the match ups he put his fighters in and the results as of late.

In the individual sense, he did his job i think . An inactive Gamboa was in with Crawford, and a blown out, legally troubled James Kirkland got his shot with Canelo. The problem is they both got beat like a drum and who else was there to fill out the stable and keep the ball rolling. I think the promoters game right now is a matter of too many lions and a shortage of zebra (fighters). Someone was bound to starve to death.
I will repeat, this filing has nothing to do with his success or failure as a promoter.

I don't think he does any more. I saw a graphic one time that showed his record sales for each album, and after the first one (which was a huge hit) his record sales have been steadily falling off a cliff.Quote:
