Would you blame him if he decided to have an easy last fight?
I would't blame him, but I don't want to see Marquez fight anyone. Marquez has earned a nice retirement.
No floyd has nothing more to prove would be happy if this fight got made
I don't personally blame any fighter for wanting to make easy money, but how could anyone be happy with this fight, and how could it even be sold? I'd rather see Floyd fight a homeless guy and give him a nice payday for them both to retire on, this would be the most pointless rematch in recent history.
Hey, I love JMM. But NO........ just no.
I don't blame him, but I have zero interest in seeing that fight. Then again, I have zero interest in seeing Floyd fight anyone at this point. Not a hit on Floyd, just no one really stands a chance at or around his weight and Floyd won't go for the ko.
I can't disagree with that, but it's kind of all the more reason Floyd may as well take on a guy yet to lose, who would at least come in aggressive and make it a fight. Then again, I guess despite how one sided the first was, Marquez brings the Mexican fans, which probably still make him a more viable PPV opponent than a Brook or Thurman. Why not just make the BS rematch with PAcquiao if they are considering Marquez though, that's what I don't understand.
No to Marquez ll.
If he wants to do it on free TV, sure.
If he wants to sell PPVs like he's been doing for the last 10 years or so, he better fight someone legit.
The only rematch I would accept would be Cotto, simply for him to collect the MW belt (assuming Cotto beats Geale).
??? Is this real life
At this rate I think Floyd may as well rematch De La Hoya just to completely fleece the casual fans. Even a Cotto rematch is a bit of a farce, although the first fight was competitive. If Cotto blows out GEale and looks good that might well be in the makings though.
I wanna see him give the shot to Kell Brook or Keith Thurman.
Thurman would love an opportunity to try to knock Floyd's head off his shoulders.
I'll be really disappointed if the Khan fight happens... what a fucking farce. If he wants to fight a Brit, fight Kell.
They would have an easier time selling Canelo vs Mayweather 2 then a Marquez rematch. At this point Mayweather has paid off his 6 fight deal and can fight anyone he wishes.
It means that rematching Marquez or Pacquioao as is rumoured would be a waste of time. Ideally? I'd like to see him fight BRook or Thurman, or Demetrius Andrade or Lara at 154, GGG if he would make that weight etc. Even Khan, Mattyhse, Porter, Bradley or probably a few other guys would at least come to win. I understand why FLoyd wouldn't want a few of those fights, maybe they wouldn't all sell as well as even a Marquez rematch, but they can easily be made. Anyone in the sport will fight Floyd in a heartbeat.
The first fight was a comprehensive win for Floyd so no one would want to watch a rematch.
"Just say No!"
