Frank Warren must be fuming. Thats boxnation fucked.
boxnation will tick on
i quite like boxnation, well worth my tenner a month
which US fights are we talking about?
Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
BN isn't showing Broner Porter. Is Channel 5 going to show these fights live?
Actually a quick look at BN schedule shows they don't have any PBC fights lined up. This is good only if 5 show them live and not delayed.
Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
PBC bringing boxing to the mainstream fans whether you are from USA or UK!
I love Al Haymon he is the best and saviour of boxing.

Think its all of Al Haymons cards, or most of them anyway. Showing the Lara card this Friday and as far as I know they will all be live. I like Boxnation too but if they lose all these US fights they are in trouble. There domestic shows are shocking and not nearly enough of them

Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
That Lara fight is on Spike TV over here along with the undercard for the Haskin fight before switching to Channel 5
Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
I tried to do a round by round for a spike TV fight. It was pants coverage and commentary as if it was in someone's terraced house.
Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
It must have been a treat for you to see the moving images without imagining them though?

Yes I did appreciate it as well as the colour TV made it better viewing. Still prefer the radio commentary.
Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
No way you have a colour TV. Lets keep this shit real

If he's successful and manages to take over boxing and set his own subscription channel up that shows all the big fights what are you going to do then?
You don't even drink motherfunker, put your hand in your pocket and spend some money.
Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
And Warren has a hell of a problem if Haymon is going for free to air TV in the UK too. If Haymon does take over boxing at some point he'll be able to buy BN for about a fiver and we'll all be paying our monthly subscription to him.
Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
I think Haymon has a very good mix of cards. I dont get the hate towards him as I think what hes planning to do is try to monopolize boxing (like the UFC). If we can get rid of the other organisations and only have 1 world champ in each division I dont see how that can be bad for boxing.

Me neither. Don't care if it's Haymon or Fishnets or Arum or somebody else who does it so long as somebody does.
Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
PBC infiltrated UK well with BoxNation picking up cards, SpikeTV UK showing the spikeTV USA cards and now Channel 5 getting the remaining pieces...
Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
Sky are showing the Wilder card tonight and Porter-Broner next week along with the Ward fight. Smith is I think a Hearn fighter which explains the Ward card but Porter-Broner they've got no reason to buy unless it's to show future potential Brook PPV opponents.
In related news Warren says Sky are apparently going to be doing a PPV show every two months to try and make some money after they did their bollocks getting the next Premier League* rights contract.
*That's the EPL League soccerball for you Americans.
Re: PBC Deal with Channel 5
Sky are cunts, hope BT sports screw them over.
