Klitschko-Fury is set for October 24 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
A deal was reached just before the purse bids were about to start.
Sweet!
Fury will have tough time in Germany. If Fury wins it will be the biggest upset since Lloyd beat the Cobra.
This is good news for the heavyweight division in my view, Klitschko gets to go in with someone who is going to be punching straight at him rather than someone who is punching up towards him. Great for Tyson Fury too, there has been a lot of talk and its good to see him getting a shot. His record isn't sterling, but there just aren't that many top quality heavyweights around at the moment, and he has beaten everyone that has been put in front of him. Tyson's got a long few months ahead of him, and he'll need to be living in the gym!
Great fight , very excited for this one. Hope fury can pull it off
Hyped like PBF-Pac
Same outcome: one guy just totally defensive, the other totally clueless. Wlad via UD.
Will this be on channel 5?
Fury is going to win and impressively and people will realise they couldnt see the woods for the trees!
I can guarantee you that Klitschko fans are more concerened than Fury fans right now.
In fact the only concern I have is Wlad pulling out like he did twice against Chisora;)
That loony Russian fella (who is linked to FW) was gonna bid $18m for the fight. Old Wlad didn't fancy a trip out there
Hoping for an exciting fight, good luck to them both.
ITV, Sky, BT and Hennessey on Channel 5 are all in the running but no mention of Boxnation in the article I just read.
I think Fury will take a few huge right hands and get banged out.
Hype is one thing but Fury is going into seriously deep water here and is getting found out.
I'd be shocked if this went past 5 rounds, as soon as Wlad lands a bomb it's all over.
Great for boxing and the build up will be quality 😊
this article 😉

Now now girls.
I understand your nervous by how much absolute shite you have all talked which is about to show you up.
Maybe you should all go and sit with Haye sulking ;D
Its a proper big fight and is being spoken about 4 months before the fight. No other recent Klitschko fight had the attention this is going to get and thats because Fury has more than a chance;)
Price range? Not to far away from me and on a saturdays would be hella cool to go! maybe not the funniest fight but worth going!
I'm routing for Tyson all the way, he's a Brit at the end of the day, if Tyson can get past 6 rounds then he could be in business but it's a huge if
Should be a fun fight....Wlad seems to be at his best vs the bigger fighters.
I think Fury has a chance if he gets himself in good shape.
Yes, he's been down, but he always gets straight up and recovers quickly - the same cannot be said of Wlad. The school of thought that says Fury is going to be counted out the first time he faces a big puncher doesn't necessarily add up.
Fury is a very big, awkward guy who can bang when he wants to. He's carried a lot of opponents purely to get rounds in if you ask me. He could easily have flattened Chisora if he'd wanted to, but seemed to back off whenever he had him troubled. I think Wlad is going to be surprised by how hard Fury hits when he means business.
The sheer size of Fury is going to worry Wlad and make him cautious. He just isn't used to fighting guys like Fury and it should make things interesting. Wlad has been flattened before and isn't known for a particularly good chin himself.
If Fury fights a sensible fight, I actually think he can win. Fury is one of the few guys out there that completely take away the huge height and reach advantage Wlad has grown accustomed to.
Whatever happens, the build up is bound to be hilarious.
I look at the matchup and I ask myself "What makes Tyson Fury better than Mariusz Wach?"
....and that thought leads to "When will Wlad end up stopping Tyson Fury?"
;D
Tyson will make the press conferences fun though
I thought you were a bit more knowledgable than that;)
Nah I get it. Wlads your favourite;D
You know Fury would piss all over Chisoras sparring partner. He would also probably do it without the chicken dance;D
Fury is more fluid and has more movement than any other heavyweight out there.
If Fury somehow won it would be great for boxing in that it wouldn't be another "ho-hum... Wlad won again" affair. Brits would be throwing Fury a ticker tape parade and the boxing world would be buzzing for months. Wilder would get all jealous and ramp up his efforts to fight for the title, but of course Wlad would ask for a rematch first. People would all of a sudden be totally interested in the HW division again... and boxing in general would get a boost in fan ratings.
But alas... all dreams eventually come to an end... and at the end of this dream all I see is a nightmare for Fury ending in a TKO of some sort.
We are talking about Tyson Fury not David Haye;
Haye went in against Klitschko with numerous knockdowns and a pathetic stoppage loss to a 40 year old retired cruiserweight yet people thought he was the most dangerous opponent of Klitschkos career. This is the same Haye that pulled out twice against Fury;D
Like I said earlier, you lot cant see the wood for the trees. Tyson has been having a pretty easy time against good fighters. Even the cruiser weight (who Haye avoided) that dropped Fury got knocked out early even though hes since fought and beat a supposed dangerous puncher. Odd that eh, Fury the none puncher knocks him cold but Mansour cant even though hes a puncher? Hes looked for rounds against everyone hes fought since Haye shit his pants. He comes in overweight against Abell who was given proper notice unlike the two days he had for Pulev and drops him every time he turns it up and stops him quicker than Pulev, oh and also doesnt get dropped himself, unlike Pulev;D chisora and Hammer he toyed with like they were punchbags.
Hes been having fights his way and relatively easy because he is better than you want to give him credit for. Much, much better! Ask Haye! Haye pulls out with a cut but Tyson fought Abell with an identical injury!!;D then Haye feels the need to intimate hes going to retire because of a shoulder injury;D now hes quoted as saying this fight wont get made because Tuson doesnt want it. Guesse what Haye and your naive fans, not only does Tyson want the fight he actually believes he can win which is why you bailed;) hes just too much for smaller heavies and also older robotic boxers too:cool:
Relax.
One thing I'll NEVER do is defend David Haye over Tyson Fury.
As much as I hate to say...this is a fun event type of fight. If anything the one and only career definer of Fury. This is his end game to a long run of theater mixed with a cocky but confident gangly fook. I cannot see Fury tucking in and content to co exist. He goes out all willing, winging shots and ugly. I won't pay for it but I'll watch it like a circus.
If fury can get himself from 50 dd to 48 b he has more of a chance.
October 24th is a long way off. He'll be fine \ . /
He's a Brit that wants to be Irish. He turned down defending the Lonsdale belt to win it outright and when he went to MSG to fight Cunningham said
“I think I have showed my true colours over the years. I vacated the British and Commonwealth titles, which some people say are more prestigious than the Irish title, but not to me. I vacated those belts for an Irish title shot because it meant more to me.”
Tyson Fury en route to MSG says “I fight for Ireland, I am no Plastic Paddy” - IrishCentral.comI don't think that means Brits won't support him but It's not exactly going to help ever make fans here think he is one of their own either.
