Jack Dempsey: Baddest Man on Earth 1919-1925

Re: Jack Dempsey: Baddest Man on Earth 1919-1925
He was a bad dude alright.
Kidnapping/raping girls and forcing them into prostitution, pimping out his own wife, dodging the draft... he was a real character, that Jack.

Brock he ducked every black fighter of his day. He didnt fight one black contender. No Wills, Mcvy, Langford etc etc and they all wanted him. Hell, he even ducked Harry Greb

You really are a piece of work. You have to be a MOD with an alias. That's the only way you could get away with this kind of trash day in and day out. You are why I dont post here as much anymore and I'm sure its the same for other members.

Jack Dempsey
Look at the 'wins' he had before winning the Heavyweight Championship.
* Carl Morris > 3x
* Ed 'Gunboat' Smith > 2x
* Billy Miske
* Fireman Jim Flynn
* Bill Brennan
* Arthur Pelkey
* Fred Fulton
* Battling Dan Levinsky
* Porky Dan Flynn > 2x
* Bob Devere
* Tom McCarty
That is one 'tremendous' list of tough bastards.

He would thrash Wills and Mcvy. But Langford would have been a DOOOOOZY of a donnybrook. Greb was a toss up.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda but didn't.

By not fighting them, he saved their 'Ass' from a beating.

Just like he saved the Central Powers from an ass beating by dodging the WW1.
Jack was no stranger to ducking fights.
I think he preferred the pimp life... boxing just paid better.

Ok last reply to you. Do you know what pretzel logic is. Let me explain. If your aunt had a dick she'd be your uncle.

Jack Dempsey
"In 1917, Sam Langford would have not given me much trouble. He got his 'Ass'
tar-and-feathered by Fred Fulton up in Boston {June 19, 1917}. Fred floored him
and closed both of his eyes so bad, that Sam couldn't come out for Round 7."
"I took out Fred Fulton in just '23-Seconds' in 1918. So nobody better give me any guff about
some small colored fighter beating me."

Another guy who ducked black fighters.
From what I read... he wouldn't even SPAR with black fighters!
Marciano would have murdered both of these bums.

Good enough for ME.
Debatable and lol at the 21 count. You would have made a great Abbie Hoffman btw;)
The irony of course is that Dempsey was the one that asked for the new neutral corner rule and then fucked up. So any extension of the count was his fault.

Re: Jack Dempsey: Baddest Man on Earth 1919-1925
I like Dempsey.
Clearly not the best, but I guess he was the first "celebrity" heavyweight champ. He was a bad boy and lived the life. His fights were pretty entertaining too. I always think of him in a similar way to Tyson.

He was no old 'shitter' sitting around."

Re: Jack Dempsey: Baddest Man on Earth 1919-1925
Are these actual quotes from Dempsey? He was a little bit of a hypocrite if they were.

This Is True
Jack Dempsey was only {Age; 28 years, 3 months} when he began his 'so-called' Hiatus.
When he returned on September 23, 1926 >
He was {Age; 31 years, 3 months}.
He was by all accounts 'stale and tight', and was not the 'Best of Dempsey' had he stayed
fully active.
