Billy Joe/Chisora/Bugiloni/Cox --- Fri/BoxNation. Fact.

I know nobody on here will give a fuck about a card like this - there's not even a bet to be had for me - but just some observations...
Buglioni's fight is for some silly WBA supermiddle title offshoot. His opponent, a replacement for Chudinov, weighed 195lbs for his last fight yet 146 for the one before that. He then weighed in at 175 for this. Madness.
Jamie Cox, who seems to be making a bit of a comeback after going awol for a few years, is fighting for some silly WBO euro title. His opponent weighed in at 176. Two bods on the same bill, in title fights, miss the weight by a stone. Brilliant.
Billy Joe's opponent is currently still mixing cement on a building site (pointless warm-up with the Lee fight set, if he gets injured he deserves a slap).
Chisora sacked everyone from his team - apart from Warren - and is going back to Africa to fight later in the year (he's still a loon).
Mitchell Smith-Dennis Tubieron gives a line on Josh Warrington.

Re: Billy Joe/Chisora/Bugiloni/Cox --- Fri/BoxNation. Fact.

Not the best bill, shame Chudinov pulled out. I have no idea why Saunders is doing this fight, he would get better action sparring then this. I wouldn't even risk it if I was Saunders, but I suppose for Warren Saunders' name will sell a few more tickets.
Good to see Chisora back though, theres still some interesting fights around for him IMO.

I think its actually Saunders who asked for it going by some of his interviews.
In one interview he said he didnt want to rematch Eubank because hed been out so long and would need a warm up first because hes actually been out 8 months already now!

Fair enough its a long time out, but this fight literally does nothing for him. Its just risky. As I said before he would get better rounds sparring than fighting this guy.

Hes at the MGM, he works hard out there. I just don't see any points in this fight but fingers crossed its fairly routine because I am really excited for Saunders-Lee.

That title although meaningless is a step on the ladder and a guarenteed place in the WBA rankings. If he had a straight shot at another title I reckon theyd jump at it.

Well he didn't fight Saunders and that would have been another route to fighting Andy Lee. He should of just scrapped the belt and pushed for the rematch if he felt like he could of won it.
Whos Eubank up against next anyway?

If Chisora has anything left, given his style, this shouldn't go the distance.

Yea I noticed. The chin scratch and not knowing where to look when the camera is on him. He's not as confident though. Eddie would eat him for breakfast in negotiations.

They kept mentioning Eubank jr last night. Go on then.

I just watched this. Ok, I can understand he needs a tune up, as he's been out of the ring for 8 months, but what's the point of coming in a stone overweight and fighting As a LHW?
Now he's got roughly 7 weeks of camp and he's got to shift a stone as well! I like Saunders, and if he kicks on from the Eubank fight, I reckon he beats Lee. However, I do think going in at 173lbs is pretty unprofessional .

I'm not a training expert but coming in a stone overweight just shows how easy he can make 160 when he trains. He's not a big middle.

I think if Saunders can make middle easily he would have fought much closer to the weight.
Its not like it was a short notice scheduled bout as well. It was announced a couple of months ago that hed be fighting.
