Pissed off because ive bought my flight and fight ticket to go Ireland and i was
Looking forward to the experience. My gut feeling is telling me that ticket sales weren't that good because the first undercard I'd heard about was spike O'Sullivan being added today. Even that wasn't offical. Also Katie Taylor wasn't likely to box on the card either so there literally wasn't an undercard...
Andy Lee has had a virus and wasn't fit enough so they have pulled the Bill.
Still think I'll have a weekend in Dublin but just annoying I can't see the fight.
On the positive side, the show has been moved to 3 days after my birthday to Manchester which is an hour away. Terry flannigan is defending his title and apparently they are building a strong card for it. So it should work out well.

Lee doesn't have a virus. Fact is that the fight couldn't sell tickets. If it could, they'd have rearranged it for Limerick instead of adding it as an undercard fight to Terry Flanagan's first defence.

I am surprised this fight is not selling in Ireland. Move it to the UK or USA.
Hardly a surprise. Warren let slip at the second press conference they'd only sold 8000 tickets (half anything a promoter says). 33,000 takes some selling for a fight between two blokes that haven't got a bad word to say about each other. Obviously it don't help being on BoxNation (one man and a dog channel)
How can the first ever all-pikey world title fight not be able to sell tickets in Ireland? Mystifying. Things going from bad to worse for Frank Warren.

I'd be serious pissed off if i'd paid for flights, hotel etc over in Ireland already.
Warren seems doomed and so does Boxnation in losing the Fury v Wlad fight people are simply not going to renew their Subscription with decent fights becoming more scarce, add to that the fact that Sky and BT Sports have just announced their new free sports channels that will be showing live boxing soon things do not look good for the future.
Is this even gonna fill the MEN Arena (22,000) ? i seriously doubt it will do being solely marketed on Boxnation TV. (maybe the amount of Pikeys in England can help it now it's more accessible) :-\
I'd love to see the membership numbers of actual monthly Boxnation subscribers compared to 12 months ago, i'd bet it's dropped massively as they simply don't put on anywhere near as good fights as they did last year.
Really don't see Boxnation surviving for too much longer which is a shame because it used to be superb value for money for live fights!

The problem is Lee is not well known here andhad no real beef with Saunders or any kind of personality.
You need personalities to sell. People need to love or hate a fighter, have some kind of emotion toward them to want to pay money and see them.

Terry Flanagan-Diego Magdaleno (WBO lightweight) and Liam Smith-Michel Soro (WBO lightmiddle) on the undercard.
Turned out good.
Although Terry Flanagan is probably the least known British "world" champion in history.
The problem is Warren. None of his cards sell. Tickets were overpriced for this particularly with no fucking undercard. Warren didnt want Taylor on the card. Fair enough but shes guaranteed to sell a couple thousand tickets.
Who's going to this by the way? I was going to the Ireland card and my birthday is 7th October and this is on the 10th so it's going to work out better for me. This will be a great way to celebrate my birthday. ;D. I am pissed off ive got a flight to Ireland and not seeing any fights though but I'll still not waste my ticket and have a weekend in Dublin as I've not been there before.
I dont understand the bit of hype that bjs gets. He is a lower B level fighter, a domestic level fighter at best.

I've got some tickets, as someone stated above all of them are way over priced but I couldn't pass up the opportunity for a show just a short train journey away.
Still holding out hope Quigg will get Donaire over on the Crolla rematch so I can go back again in November too.
