55,000 sell out for Fury v Klitschko
Has there been a bigger anticipated attended heavyweight fight?
Especially when you consider it involves someone making their first challenge.
Wladimir Klitschko vs Tyson Fury worth over £30m with heavyweight showdown set for 55,000 sell-out - Mirror Online

Re: 55,000 sell out for Fury v Klitschko
Wlads biggest fight was against Haye and from what iv found about 50,000 attended that.
Maybe Ze Germans want to see the big Klit licker;D

Re: 55,000 sell out for Fury v Klitschko
I think the audience is so big because its a win win scenario , we either see the end of an era and lets face it Wlad isn't easy on the eye , or the likely idiotic fury carried out on a stretcher , I for one will be watching it.
My prediction - Wlad wins KO 2.

Re: 55,000 sell out for Fury v Klitschko
Any one old enough to remember Richard Dunn :D

10-1 on bet365 for klit in rounds 1-3, not a bad bet. The wording is 'to win in rounds 1-3' so the DQ is covered, my guess is that Tiresome will try a fast start and attempt to fight dirty and foul. The ref needs to be on his game if Vlad isn't.

I have a signed (by both) Empire Pool Wembley poster of him versus Joe Bugner on the wall above my PC screen.
I was at the fight, not Richards finest hour. Met him at a charity do with Bugner years later, he's having a whale of a time with his daughter running him around to boxing dinners/shows etc. He is a very nice old boy.

Re: 55,000 sell out for Fury v Klitschko
I can see why it's likely to be a sell out.
It's an intriguing fight to say the least. We really don't know how good or bad Fury really is and this is where we get to find out for certain one way or the other.
Fury is "colourful" and people are going to want to see this regardless of who they want to win. I'm looking forward to it. I just hope Fury gives it his all and doesn't make a complete mug of himself and the paying public like Haye did.

Wlad is diabolical, always getting someone else to sell out his shows.
Hey Ross, what is Fury's previous high ticket sale?

I can't speak for others but I want to see him get knocked out.
Should be exciting while it lasts.

Fury is yet to fight for a world title.
How many world title fights has Wlad had?
-
Re: 55,000 sell out for Fury v Klitschko
I've not looked forward to a heavyweight fight for a long time
This is intriguing. Is Fury good enough or is he just a big lump - who knows !
Can't see Wlad finishing him early, he just doesn't do that. Fury needs to make his size count.
My prediction.........Fury in 7 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 55,000 sell out for Fury v Klitschko
I hope Fury wins this but can't see him getting a decision over there. Wlad will try all the tricks in the book to spook Fury. Tyson is going into the lions den and if he can pull this victory against a champion that has dominated the division this long then he should be rich.

I think v chagaev there was around 60,000 there in schalkes football stadium, the veltins arena or whatever they call it these days.
Obviously chagaev was a previous world champ though but I think that's the largest attendance for a wladimir fight

You're making an irrelevant point. Wlad has fought for a world title, in fact 27 times. This thread is about ticket sales NOW. So you should deal in NOW. But you're point seems to be, and I can only guess because you haven't made a point but rather just fluff fluff I love Fury fluff fluff, that Fury would be more popular if..... That's quite possible but doesn't deal in the world as it is.
You actually consistently deal in this if if if world. Like Mayorga if if if... What do you have against reality Ross?

Fury will have exactly the same amount of people watching him in his next fight as Wlad is in his next and biggest fight;D
