Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
George Foreman
George Foreman
and......uh,...........George Foreman
yeah, imagine seeing him in the opposite corner just moments before the bell for Round 1 rings:
KNOWING, that the dude is 65-2 with 59 knockouts or so,...........YEAH, YOU KNOW YOU ARE GONNA BE IN A WORLD OF PAIN VERY VERY SHORTLY

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
I think Tyson as he was fast, dynamic and could hit you from all angles. Pac was scary in a similar way, but is kind of tiny. Tyson was big and strong though and still lightning fast with it. At least with Foreman you know you are getting clubbed down and might be able to see it coming, but with Tyson you worry that you won't get up or will be doing a chicken dance and really wouldn't know you had been hit. I think that unpredictability would be very scary.

Probably Oscar. He's a very handsome man.

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
Thomas Hearns was scary
Barclay was ugly
Julian Jackson had precise power to put you to sleep.
Nigel Benn was insane power to carp your pants.

I also wouldnt feel too nice to look across and see Marvin Hagler. Very bad feeling that would be!

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
Following fighters and reasons why:
1. Sonny Liston: Original thug/master of intimidation. Great boxing skills, lethal power and a definite mean streak.
2. Prime/young George Foreman: Bigger and meaner than Liston.
3. Tyson: Faster than the top two, meaner looking, huge puncher, and not right mentally.
4. Hagler: Mean dude, looked mean, great skills, and monster punch.
5. Ike Ibeabuchi: big, mean, strong, and certifiably insane.
6. Gerald Mclellan: Oozed aggression and violence. Huge for his weight class.
7. Light heavy version of Michael Moorer: frightening power and one of the meanest guys in history. Porking up to heavyweight took away his edge from cutting weight.
8. Nigel Benn: his resilience, punch, underrated skill, and mean streak made him a formidable and intimidating foe.
9. Lennox/Vitali/Wlad: I'm 5'10, 190lbs. Those guys r HUGE, skilled, and can PUNCH!!!!
10. Evander Holyfield: Best case scenario is you go through hell and get the win, paying a huge price with the toll the fight takes on you. Worst case? Evander comes in motivated and stops you in a war. Neither sound enjoyable to me....

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
Standing opposite late 70s Duran...
-
I think Duran would give the worse beatdown. Most of the other guys mentioned would lay you out quick.
Duran on the other hand, would rough you up all over and have you in ICU.

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
lENNOX lEWIS WUOLD FREAK ME OUT TOO
-
Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
All of them would have me thinking dive, dive, dive!

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
Lots of menacing dudes mentioned, McClellan, Lt hvy Moorer and later had a special kind of 'scary random' going on, Duran and Tyson had that low key poker face and shark eyes that convinced you that your ass was kicked before they even left the corner. Its not always menace either..you have more obscure guys with reps or traits. Sure Valuev was limited and moved with the fluidity of a aircraft carrier, but would you want your face buried in that body hair? Golota based entirely on unpredictability. Facing bombers is bad enough but not knowing if he'd zombie bite you, billy goat ram you, smash the balls or all of the above is worse. Jeff Fenech, Jirov , Dempsey and Jorge Arce looked like guys coming to break your kneecaps. Oh, and Anne Wolf. Female, male or whatever..Wolf could def make you leave a puddle.

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
Marvin Hagler.
Mike Tyson.
Sonny Liston.
Nigel Benn.
Yes theses fighters would make you weak at the knees.;)

Only one point I disagree with is you calling Ike Ibeabuchi "certifiably insane" Any mental problem Ike suffered were , in my personal opinion, caused when he was kept heavily sedated for months, like a zombie almost, because they were scared of what he "might do" All the time harassing him to cop a plea promising him he'd be back boxing in 6 months. Ike swears innocence to this day & I believe him. He eventually pleaded no contest . Then the woman judge gave him Max sentence 5-30 yrs
Hardly justice

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
I was given that stare by Mike Tyson many years ago It was when he was doing a promo . He heard me say I thought Lennox Lewis could be the one to beat him. I didn't know he was behind me. He just stared, he doesn't blink. He snarled " Do you really think Lewis could beat me"? Scared the crap out of me I was ready to run. He burst out laughing & said " you got set up didn't you"? I could have hugged him LOL He was just kidding with me but imagine that stare knowing when the bell rings he's coming to take your head off LOL

Not at all I was just giving my honest personal opinion about both fighters I wasn't slagging off either. Mike took it as a joke he knew Id been set up , Bowe just walked away Newman as good as admitted they blatantly reaged on Lennox when he said" Why risk it all against Lewis when folk will buy Dokes & Ferguson with very little risk"
I'm just an honest man

Cool story. Yeah Tyson had that animalistic look. Instant diarrhea!

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
Currently I'd have to say Prod
Historically Foreman, even Tyson feared a fourty year old Foreman. Either era Foreman scares the doody of me and Prod looks like he could stop a tank with his head.

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
1.Sonny Liston could set your apartment on fire with a glance.
2.George Foreman could do part time work as a fireman making people piss in their pants from across the street.
3.Roberto Duran could be the source of your nightmares.
4.Iran Barkley would force you to begin stuttering long before he decided to punch you.
5. Stanley Ketchel would remind you to pay your health insurance on time.
6. Jack Dempsey's stare would remind you that you could have been a track star before his glance froze your legs.
Marvin Hagler's missing smile reminds you of an appointment you would like to prepare for six months in advance.

Tyson and Duran for me.they looked intimidating and icy cold. As much as I like Benn, I don't see it. Especially when he had his dreadlocks, he was always too trendy looking.
Mind you , after the first bell rang, that's probably a different story. 😄

I agree I could just never take Nigel Benn seriously. There was nothing scarier friend about him to me. I could have with his ass if I had gotten in better shape and taking boxing more seriously. Nigel Benn is not scary or intimidating at all.

Re: Which fighter would give you the weakest knees to look across the ring at?
Surprised Rocco didn't mention Floyd in this thread. Of course, he wouldn't have meant it in the way the OP had intended it, but I guarantee that seeing Floyd in person would make Rocco weak in the knees (Beanflicker too), the way Justin Beiber makes teenage girls weak in theirs. Similar emotions. Not fear, just pure excitement and teenage crush....

As much as I realize that this is pure sarcasm it is also funny haha
