It is as far as I am concerned a learned behavior when men throughout history perpetuate the destruction of others. I truly thought that the Thriller in Manila should have been called The Humbling of a so called great. Ali thought that was the closest he ever came to death. Joe Frazier was not an educated man but a humble man who rose from poverty to become what others could not believe he became and to undermine his humanity and call him a gorilla had the racists of he world in stitches when Ali did their job for them and it became two for one and the media delighted in this black humor. "One cannot truly hate someone they never loved" But Joe gave Ali help and the warmth of his friendship during the darkest period of his life with generosity of money and friendship only to perpetuate racist type name calling like gorilla and taunting a good man although he was not socially educated was like kicking a horse that could go no further. In closing, never trust politicians or someone hurting others wearing a mask of one who is God fearing during the day and hurting his brother when the sun comes down, paraphrasing the most enlightened man ever to walk the earth.

I know Joe never forgave Ali for the hurtful things he said to him and the impact it had on his family which probably hurt the most. No one could because he had to live through it. I do not think Ali meant it to go that far either and it was just bravado from Ali.

If Holyfield didn't have the personality of a brick and did it with charisma, why wouldn't people have laughed then as well? Muhammad Ali, if he were around in the 90's, WOULD have done the same thing to Riddick Bowe, or Holyfield, or Foreman, or pretty much any other HW! I'd bet the answer to both is NO!!!! When I met Ali I got lucky enough to be still around when the crowd had gone. Ali's demeanor changed dramatically all the bragging & bravado was gone. He sat there showing 3 young kids magic tricks like a favourite uncle. I also met and talked to Joe in Dallas at a black tie dinner at the Wyndham Anatole Boxing was the cabaret lol I was sat by Joe Frazier, Earnie Shavers & The Bronx Bull Jake La Motta. I didn't get the 5 course dinner they did though lol Both Joe & Earnie agreed Ali was dynamite in the ring and they had great respect for him

This scumbag deliberately tortured Ernie Terrell and Floyd Patterson in the ring when he could have knocked both of those guys out six or seven or eight rounds earlier in the fight. He deliberately string them along and pulled back on his punches to inflict the maximum amount of torture and to allow the fighter to continue going without actually stopping the fighter. This is completely unsportsmanlike and when you add to the fact that people who sat in the first row and people who are near the microphone were appalled and disgusted by ali's use of the N word 2 Floyd Patterson and Ernie Terrell as well as to Joe Frazier George Foreman Ken Norton and Larry Holmes who all said that all these curses and his rampant and constant use of the N word and the F word was so shocking that it was disgusting in there at times to be in with a person shouting those obscenities during the fight.
