Out and out racism and at the very least cruelty.
Mean cruelty.
This coming from a "highly religious" man who "really supported his people".
I guess berating poor Joe for years like this was "supporting" his people.
Disgusting show of willful and persistent cruelty to a decent, humble ATG Joe Frazier.
Karma is a bitch, huh?

Only Mitch Blood Green was a bigger scumbag.
If I had to sit down to dinner with all time great boxer I would love to have dinner with Jersey Joe Walcott or Sonny Liston or Archie Moore or Joe Lewis or Rocky Marciano. The last motormouth windbag show off know it all ghetto philosopher that I would want to sit down and ENDURE a dinner with would be Muhammad the big mouth Ali.

The young Ali would be one of the first people I would love to talk over a dinner table with. Ali was vibrant and entertaining.

He was quite understandable, actually. He had many good sides to him, was an excellent artist, illustrator, historian, and a valiant soldier in WWI. I'm sure your dinner conversation would be understandable. Let's not exaggerate.

As was Mother Teresa and Charles Manson. Maybe Theresa wasn't as 'vibrant' as the others but an interesting character in her own right. Ali is not comparable to either nor the man you mentioned. I don't post here often but your hate confuses me as much as the guy that posts on the other section regarding Scrap. I can't wrap my head around it but continue to read your's and his posts so I guess that may be the point after all. Ali got me into boxing. I have a large collection of DVD's, books, etc. But after reading Fraziers biography I have a new perspective and get the bad side as we all have. I just don't get your obsession. It confuses me unless he has hurt you personally in some way. On a totally separate topic, my dog has this thing where he hates black people. Gentle golden retriever who loves everyone. Except my friends of colour. I raised him since a pup and know he was not abused so I can only assume it has something to do with his less sophisticated brain. I really don't know.

Re: August 26, 1975 ~ 'Press Conference' ~ Ali Tries To Make Gorilla Out Of Joe Frazi
As a fighter I believe that Ali in his first reign as Champion had all the tools and then he got religion if you call it that. I am one of these people that thinks a priest standing in front of my platoon blessing them to go out and win a war is a hypocrite. No one wants to die and no one truly knows why we kill other people and live to have our conscience beat us like a cruel master beats a dog. It is as far as I am concerned a learned behavior when men throughout history perpetuate the destruction of others. I truly thought that the Thriller in Manila should have been called The Humbling of a so called great. Ali thought that was the closest he ever came to death. Joe Frazier was not an educated man but a humble man who rose from poverty to become what others could not believe he became and to undermine his humanity and call him a gorilla had the racists of he world in stitches when Ali did their job for them and it became two for one and the media delighted in this black humor. "One cannot truly hate someone they never loved" But Joe gave Ali help and the warmth of his friendship during the darkest period of his life with generosity of money and friendship only to perpetuate racist type name calling like gorilla and taunting a good man although he was not socially educated was like kicking a horse that could go no further. In closing, never trust politicians or someone hurting others wearing a mask of one who is God fearing during the day and hurting his brother when the sun comes down, paraphrasing the most enlightened man ever to walk the earth.

Re: August 26, 1975 ~ 'Press Conference' ~ Ali Tries To Make Gorilla Out Of Joe Frazi
I know Joe never forgave Ali for the hurtful things he said to him and the impact it had on his family which probably hurt the most. No one could because he had to live through it. I do not think Ali meant it to go that far either and it was just bravado from Ali.

And, the 'Left-Wing' Media
When the 'Scum Bag' Muhammad Ali made this statement, and gestured to punch out a Gorilla Toy.
They all 'Fucking' laughed.
Not one, a single one, had the 'balls' to call out Muhammad Ali.
The 'hypocrite' Mother Fuckers.
Even Howard Cosell licked Ali's ass-hole.
Oh Muhammad > "Please Shit In My Mouth".

I have to agree with this completely. What Muhammad Ali did and said to Joe Frazier is unforgivable for the rest of eternity.
Can you imagine Evander Holyfield holding up a black gorilla toy and punching it and saying that ridick bowe is a gorilla.?
And all of the news media kiss his ass and say how funny that is?
-
Stupid people mistakenly believe that Muhammad Ali was some kind of a hero and a spokesman for black people's rights. When in fact all he did was tear down his opponents especially the black ones with cruel and racist remarks towards blacks. The examples with Joe Frazier are just the tip of the iceberg. What kind of a person is this.??
What color did he think he himself was?

If Holyfield didn't have the personality of a brick and did it with charisma, why wouldn't people have laughed then as well? Muhammad Ali, if he were around in the 90's, WOULD have done the same thing to Riddick Bowe, or Holyfield, or Foreman, or pretty much any other HW! It would have been just as funny, because he was a lot more fun to listen to than mongoloids like that. What's the issue with this, are people actually of the opinion that it's somehow racist?

Ive got one question Bill Have you ever met Ali & have you ever met Joe Frazier???
I'd bet the answer to both is NO!!!! When I met Ali I got lucky enough to be still around when the crowd had gone. Ali's demeanor changed dramatically all the bragging & bravado was gone. He sat there showing 3 young kids magic tricks like a favourite uncle. I also met and talked to Joe in Dallas at a black tie dinner at the Wyndham Anatole Boxing was the cabaret lol I was sat by Joe Frazier, Earnie Shavers & The Bronx Bull Jake La Motta. I didn't get the 5 course dinner they did though lol Both Joe & Earnie agreed Ali was dynamite in the ring and they had great respect for him

Archie Moore you can't get to be a better gentleman and a better tactician and a better aficionado of the game of boxing of the sport of boxing then Archie the Mongoose more was. A gentleman a statesman a self promoting whirlwind the joy of life Archie Moore had a joie de vivre Archie Moore went to Australia to study Bush medicine and cures and boosts for energy and stamina. Archie Moore was a one man show who finally got under Rocky Marciano skin. Archie Moore love to eat Archie Moore said that food was his favorite thing in life and he love to eat.
Scumbag Muhammad Ali the piece of s*** scumbag that he was also completely disrespected Archie Moore in 1964 when Archie Moore try to make a bid for the heavyweight title against Cassius the scumbag clay the young motormouth of 23 years old had absolutely no respect whatsoever for his elders and for the icon of sophistication for a man like Archie Moore who gave out nothing but positive vibrations and finesse and respectability Muhammad the scumbag Olly simply disrespected insulted and said very mean and hurtful things to Archie Moore before and during the fight. Muhammad Ali was the biggest scumbag of all time. Bill Paxton is 100% correct. Well you ass liquors need to wake up and see what this evil human being did to his fellow black American citizens.

Re: August 26, 1975 ~ 'Press Conference' ~ Ali Tries To Make Gorilla Out Of Joe Frazi

This scumbag deliberately tortured Ernie Terrell and Floyd Patterson in the ring when he could have knocked both of those guys out six or seven or eight rounds earlier in the fight. He deliberately string them along and pulled back on his punches to inflict the maximum amount of torture and to allow the fighter to continue going without actually stopping the fighter. This is completely unsportsmanlike and when you add to the fact that people who sat in the first row and people who are near the microphone were appalled and disgusted by ali's use of the N word 2 Floyd Patterson and Ernie Terrell as well as to Joe Frazier George Foreman Ken Norton and Larry Holmes who all said that all these curses and his rampant and constant use of the N word and the F word was so shocking that it was disgusting in there at times to be in with a person shouting those obscenities during the fight.

It's easy to become famous. All you have to do is behave like a 'Fucking Ass-Hole'.

Not comparing the specific individuals per se. I'm saying that when people perceive something to be evil, they will probably never "get over it". Its a subjective call per the individual. Bill's and my perception of the depth of the hurt and emotional damage and the intentional cruelty of Ali towards Frazier and other blacks is that it falls into the category of evil. There are varying degrees of evil. But evil is evil.
That was the meaning of what I wrote, Beanz. Not what you may have had in mind.

Re: August 26, 1975 ~ 'Press Conference' ~ Ali Tries To Make Gorilla Out Of Joe Frazi
Muhammad Ali
When he called Joe Frazier 'The Gorilla' >
He called 'all' dark-skinned African-Americans a 'Gorilla'.
There was more to it than just calling Smokin' Joe that.
Muhammad was letting all the black people know, that he {and only he} was the only Black man
that could be with, and deal with 'Whitey'.

Not only that Bill but on a psychiatric level it also reveals a bit of self hatred that Muhammad Ali had. Why would a black American who is championing black power and black rights have to call other black people who are in his very own profession monkey and gorilla and beast and bear and Uncle Tom ? And very poor ----Joe Frazier's parents were sharecroppers. Sharecroppers were basically one little tiny step above slaves. Why would he have to call him denigrating remarks and compare him to animals like gorillas and call him ugly and make fun of the shape of his nose and make fun of the shape of his ears and pretending that he alone Muhammad Ali was so beautiful and his face was so pretty.?
He called Sonny Liston an ugly bear he made fun of Archie Moore and Ernie Terrell he called Floyd Patterson a rabbit he called George Foreman a mummy and made fun of the way he walk. This f****** hypocrite went to Africa where he was supposed to be champion in black rights and to connect with his black roots and all he could do was make fun of his fellow blacks with denigrating and cruel depictions like gorillas and monkey and Uncle Tom and n*****.
This was one f***** up and confused individual who had plenty of hate in his heart towards himself and his own people. He is a disgrace and he should never be remembered for championing human rights or black power at all.

Re: August 26, 1975 ~ 'Press Conference' ~ Ali Tries To Make Gorilla Out Of Joe Frazi
~ The Muhammad Ali ~
Was a self absorbed hypocrite.
An interesting item, is that at the beginning of the 'Thrilla in Manila' promotional tour,
Smokin' Joe was not at all upset about the 'Gorilla' moniker.
Smokin' Joe accepted it as a 'gimmick' to get the ball rolling.
But then 'The Scum Bag' took it too far, and would not let up.
Look at 'The Scum Bag' trying to be funny for the left-wing 'Scum Bagger' media.
