Will the winner of Andy Lee/Billy Jo Saunders face GGG?
To unify the titles, or will they avoid the fight? Saunders has already come out and said he's not ready for him. So, I guess the question is whether Andy Lee will face him. I don't doubt he would, but I'm not sure Dibella is inclined to do so.

Re: Will the winner of Andy Lee/Billy Jo Saunders face GGG?
If they've got the cojones, the winner of Canelo/Cotto is next up, followed by the winner of Quillin/Jacobs, who will have seen off the Eubank/Spike winner. Then , if Lee or Saunders is still champ in 12 to 15 months time, they will be next off the rank. Simples!

Seems like Lee wants the fight. He said, 'I hit harder than GGG.' Sounds like an eager beaver to me.

Agree on Saunders. I think Andy would fight anyone but I differ that Lou would be inclined to match them although I know he's a friend of unification. That could be where Golovkin goes though when the Wbc screws him over again.

I hear that string of fights and think what a waste. But it won't even be that good. Some of those guys will say no.
-
Re: Will the winner of Andy Lee/Billy Jo Saunders face GGG?
No, and I hope they don't either. I don't even think the winner of Cotto/Canelo vs GGG is that exciting, Golovkin needs to move up if he wants competition, simple as.
-
Re: Will the winner of Andy Lee/Billy Jo Saunders face GGG?
As primo says not immediately especially if Saunders wins who may want to fight Eubanks Junior.
GGG is Hauler, no one wants to fight him.

If he goes up, who is there? Take into account, a.Ward is going up. And b. What other SMW's are there that bring anything? Quality, Money, draw, etc.

I think Eubank will see off the Quillin Jacobs winner quite easily. Hopefully it happens early next year.

Quite easily? hmmm , beg to differ, but time will tell.

Re: Will the winner of Andy Lee/Billy Jo Saunders face GGG?
Lee will definitely fight him. They were signed and sealed last year when Golovkin had to pull out because his dad died. Now it's a unification fight, Lee is on much more dosh and Golovkin a much bigger star. They both win.

Saunders: After I Beat Lee, I'm 18 Months From Golovkin - Boxing News
I think Lee will go for the fight because he wants to prove hes the man. Saunders isn't ready and at least hes honest about it.

Eubank OSullivan winner maybe?
Lets face it, if he does lose to Saunders I doubt he gets beaten up. He may even drop Saunders while losing. He did just scrape past Quillin with that knockdown.

Lee - Spike would be huge if Spike could pull off the win. Now that would be a proper Irish scrap

I think a battle of the losers would still sell;)
Although Lee has bigger ambitions than OSullivan who would offer no leg up in the rankings.

It would do well for an Irish shodown though, two big punches. Lee having better boxing ability though

Re: Will the winner of Andy Lee/Billy Jo Saunders face GGG?
warren has got no where near enough top level fighters for his dedicated boxing channel
if saunders lost badly to GGG that wouldnt be good
i cant see it happening

Warren can rely on US imports to keep the channel afloat. that is why most people have the channel.

Re: Will the winner of Andy Lee/Billy Jo Saunders face GGG?
If Lee beats Saunders, I wouldn't blame him for taking on another domestic level opponent, such as the winner of Eubank and O'Sullivan. On the other hand, the man to beat in the division is GGG and Lee has always talked about going for the best.

I agree most fighters make a bit of money with easier fights after winning the title.
