Four big fights on wednesday!
Afolabi - Chakhkiev
Povetkin - Wack
Lebedev - Kayode
Cuenca - Troyanovsky
Should be a good card

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
Cracking card.
Bookies make Cesar Cuenca the underdog (11/10). I thought he was impressive against Ik Yang. For a geezer that can't crack an egg, he showed why he's 48-0, constantly moving fast feet coupled with fast combo's.
I was going to back him then watched a bit of the Russian. He's not getting sparked, he looks massive for the weight, is a Richie Woodhall clone, has home advantage and can really bang. Troyanovsky (4/5) --- KO (2/1).

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
Lebedev - KO (1/2)
Wach - (7/1) I read somewhere that Povetkin struggles with really tall fighters so avoids them (apologise if it was someone on here). Stupidist stat ever to base a bet on but sifting through his record he really hasn't faced many super tall funkers. Wlad defused him with ease (ignoring the shitloads of holding, if Mills Lane was the ref he's DQ'd) and he's struggled with a couple of other giants. So with Wach's height and bombproof bonce he's worth some money if you enjoy putting it down the drain like me.

For some reason I thought he had a draw or two earlier when discussing him but 49/0 is impressive regardless. This is a tough one and talk about a set of hangers to fly to Russia to face this monster. I bet that other guy wouldn't do that or anyone else in the primadonna club. When you consider the power that Cuenca brings to the table it even takes a larger set to attempt that record on foreign soil. Its not that he cant crack an egg but its that he cant crack an egg yolk.
Should be a good card
Hopefully some decent feeds will be available.

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
Big fights as in physically big fighters? Because none of these fighters are any good.

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
Decent card. Been looking forward to this for a few weeks now. Nice to have some midweek boxing to pass time in work. Ive backed Chakhiev round 7-12 at 4/1ish. Think Olas finished and the Russian unibrow always impresses me. Cant see much value elsewhere. Cuenca fight should be quality. Id prob back Cuenca at odds against but can see him getting robbed.

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
Why isn't there billions of articles about Cuenca going for Marciano's "record," like there was earlier in the year when Floyd matched it, and like they'll be when Floyd comes out of retirement to "beat" it?

Hopefully it will no longer be Marcianos to beat = Cuenca 50-0

Because cuenca has 2 draws on his record which counts as a blemish.

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
Cuenca has two no contests not draws.
Record reads - 48-0-0 :)

I followed you with Chakhiev by KO (threw him in some multi's with Troyanovsky too).

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
Dmitry Bivol is worth following. Impressive (5-0/5 KOs).

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
On BoxNation Bunce is filling time telling stories about Putin's Hells Angel's army being sent around the world. Fucking brilliant. ;D

Cuenca doesn't get the buzz, is the simplest answer, but I know you weren't really asking. If he was from Canada, the Us, Mexico, the UK, Germany, or Russia it would be a different story. And like you said before, Cuenca is a boxer in the purest sense or the word, with no pop at all.
I'm hoping he keeps winning, I think Marciano would be hoping the same thing. Records are made to be broken.
-
Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
Cuenca is like a wasp but not landing anything. 2-0 Troy. Looks a heavy puncher too

Yeah just being sarcastic mate because the coverage Floyd got in his last fight was ridiculous (I know it's all about selling stories).

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
There's a chance this fight could be 3-2 Cuenca. It looks like 5-0 Troy though
-
Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
Cuenca quits in the 6th after getting hurt.
His corner have gone absolutely ballistic.
The ref needs security. There's none.
Brilliant.
The bet landed. Lovely.

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
What a two round punch-up.
Dmitry Kudryashov (18-0, 18 KOs)-Olanrewaju Durodola (21-2, 19 KOs)
The Nigerian is schooling the Russian, then gets caught with a massive lefthook that turns him into a drunk and is all over the shop but makes it out the round. The 2nd round the Nigerian comes out to batter him after getting stunned several times.

Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
What a chin Ola has. Should be kipping
-
Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
What a fucking KO. Ola knocks Chak face first to sleep. @Silkeyjoe you are useless :D
-
Re: Four big fights on wednesday!
Cracking card so far. Ola is one tough dude and Chakhiev just fell into that trap. Backed Ola in running there at 4/1 after round 3. Chakhiev didnt learn from his loss v Wlod.
