Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
The fight was rather sloppy and flailing/grabbing enough, who the hell would even care to see them do it again? There was no big controversy like a foul that would have changed the outcome. (ALTHOUGH THE KLOWN OF KIEV sure went for a billy-goat type head butt there at one point, what a cheap shot, it was like Victor Ortiz almost vs Floyd)---No need to watch that rubbish again really. On to bigger and better things, Joshua/Wilder/ hell even bring Shannon The Cannon in here, I'd love to see shannon get humbled by Big Fury. Now Stiverne can take his tail out from between his legs and get back in the mix. etc....... YAY!!!! Floyd and Wlad GONE IN THE SAME SEASON, THAT GREAT AUTUMN SEASON 2015! WE WILL NEVER FORGET.
BWAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA BOXING IS BACK!!!! :-\:rolleyes::-\:rolleyes::-\:rolleyes::-\:rolleyes:

At first I said I wouldn't watch a rematch, but since I learned you don't want a rematch I have changed my mind! ;D I know you'll watch it no matter what you say. Rematch! Rematch! Rematch!

Re: Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
Wlad deserves a rematch whether he looked bad last night or not. It just boggles my mind at how fast people write boxers off. It displays a total lack of reason given the object of the game.
At any rate I'm no fan of punch stats and only consider them accurate at all is in extreme cases. For example in Ike vs Tua, they each threw close to a thousand punches. Does it really matter or say anything different if it was actually only 800 a piece after closer examination?
And then there is Briggs vs the White Poodle. The other extreme. I cant remember the stats. I dont think they posted them cause it came up in the negative;D Probably 50 each over 36 minutes. Nothing changes if it was in fact 60.
Unfortunately, the output last night was very similar to the neutering which was Briggs/Poodle so a rematch might be hard on the eyes. I cant recall the round but there was one at least where Wlad only threw 2 punches and Fury about 5. Unless the people on the punch clickers were sitting by Lapdog or the Sky crew the numbers have got to be pretty dismal.
Wlad needs the rematch and is entitled to it after the stretch he has put in and I think Fury is great for the division but will be a flash in the pan. Last night was a freak occurrence and his approach and style was perfectly gamed up for Wlad. I still think he loses to lessor opponents for style reasons and gets trounced by guys like Povetkin and Joshua. Hell Briggs might kick that ass.

Re: Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
Not sure why Wlad deserves a rematch? Just fuck off into retirement, hand in hand with Floyd, take Manny too, we need a cull on all these old boys. They've had their day, there's more than enough fresh talent coming through - get your slippers you old funkers, spend your dosh and never come back.

Re: Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
Wlad will want the rematch , the question is and only he knows , what has he got left ?
Fury will be more ambitious in a rematch , which may for a better fight.
But yes pass the torch Wlad you after all have been a boring grabbing bastard for many years.

But in the cold light of day, he'll be thinking "I can only rematch if I can work him out." He can't afford to lose again. And how much will his reputation and legacy be enhanced by beating Fury? Not a lot, I think.
-
Re: Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
I could go another few years without watching Fury or Wlad again to be honest. Be it with one another or someone else. Big win, Fury earned it and did himself proud but that was a scratch n sniff barn cat stand off of a thing. Loving the early Christmas though, a few groomed prospects being toppled lately, Mayweather the diva leaves our living rooms and takes the stench with him, Manny goes into witness protection and now every young heavyweight is more inspired and the division is wiiide open. Boxing goes on.

So I guess this fight wasn't in the top 20 best HW fights? 50?

100.
It was awful.
Wlad was the aggressor so it should have at least been a draw.
Wlad lost the bottle to throw the right hand...imagine what VITALI would have done.

Re: Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
no one wants to see that crap again. u think he wont be terrified the next time? lol.
wlad lets fighters intimidate him. the more u talk trash/punk him, he worse he gets.
he retires soon i bet, thank god!!!

Re: Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
I'm DEFINITELY not a Wlad fan, but I'd have to say he probably should get his rematch. After all, ugly as his reign was, he WAS champion for quite a few years. I'd be morbidly interested to see whether Wlad would come back with some "cojones", seeking retribution. I'm probably being waaay naïve here, but what the hell. Nobody knows how Wlad would come back, so it's probably a huge chance that the fight would be the same or worse than the first one, in which case Wlad should be shown the door immediately.
But give him the rematch.
Who knows..... maybe one of them will knock the other out in an epic fight.
And maybe I'll grow wings and fly to the moon.
-
Re: Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
let them fight a 4 rounder and get it the fuck overwith
-
Re: Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
No, it was a really shit fight. I wouldn't want to see that again. Fury has never been very fun to watch IMO, but fair play on getting the win.
-
Re: Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
I agree after ten years Wlad deserves a rematch. Lennox got one after getting sparked so why not.
Rematch would probably be more interesting in that wlad would have to go for it more. I see one of them getting kayoed if it happens. A few more rounds like the 12th would be fine by me

It might even be efit Wlad to get straight back on the horse if he is wanting the rematch and have a win inbetween against a fringe contender.
Physically Wlad is still the same fighter that beat Povetkin, Pulev, Jennings etc but Tyson is something else when it comes to projecting his confidence. Hes too mentally strong for Wlad and Wlad would need to see he can still do what he could do before.

Good, glad everyone has their "entertaining champion" now.....who fights in a "sloppy, flailing/grabbing" manner.....which is different than what you always complained about

its Wlad's fault that the fight was MUTUALLY flailing and messy. Wlad had Fury in numberless headlocks, octopus flails, and other windmill-type gyrations/Spiral Galaxies all through the fight. I guess Tyson figured "when in Rome....." and decided to windmill him back a bit. ;)

OK....I'm just looking ever so forward to your appreciating Tyson Fury as much as you did Wlad. And dear Brockton, I'll be holding you to it.....every second, every round, he ever fights.

Don't be ridiculous. Tyson Fury is nowhere near being an all-time great and is not even close to being a favorite fighter of mine.. I don't really think he will be around for more than a year or two. If you want to hold me to every round he ever fights you will probably only be holding me to 20 or 30 more rounds before he retires. But hey Lyle go ahead and knock yourself out

Hey, if Fury fights the way Fury fights then he's Wladimir + trash talking and singing and - the knockouts.
So you're happy again because why? And don't start to get short with me, I'm just trying to understand your giddiness Brockton....especially since boxing is controlled by evil corrupt behind the scenes puppet masters which is what you have said for quite some time......or were you just trolling then but you're not anymore?
I'm merely holding YOU accountable for what you said you wanted....but it's ok Brockton, get a little upset about it and go write another nonsensical rhyming post

You crack me up Lyle. At a time when you should be eating crow like nobody's business calling Tyson Fury a bum all these weeks and months and you're being called out by Ross for all kinds of stuff I have not even been calling you out man except for that 1 comment where you said I said "god damn son" I don't really consider that rubbing your face in it Lyle so I think you should be focusing your efforts more on Ross who's going as far as saying that you should change your name and all those other things. But of course you would like to be the one who's asking questions now to try to take some of the heat off of yourself. You really crack me up Lyle. Maybe you should go write the rhyming verses now my friend.

Furry already taking rematch and ignoring Wilder. No talk of unification at all.
I got to watch it... Turned it off after a few rounds
Too few punches thrown. No dog in wlad whatsoever.

Brockton, if I wanted to really be a petulant poor sport, I'd merely bring up that Tyson Fury didn't fight a "prime" Wladimir Klitschko......you know, the way ross says that a "prime" Mike Tyson never got beat. But I haven't said that, and I haven't gone down that road, I've even allowed ross to decide what the stakes are of our "bet" which I was coerced in to AND to take it even further, I've allowed for these stakes to be on a permanent basis.
Now, Brockton, how would YOU want me to act?

His ego will not let this go.
He has a brain too, I think he should give it up, but another big payday plus that ego will probably pull him back at least one more time.
I hope he decides to retire. Another humiliating defeat might be what it takes!

Lyle I found it revolting that you had to change your name over such a thing. I did not get involved in any kind of deals or threats or bets so I think I have been quite easy about this and maybe I only gave you one or two little jabs.

Depending on how mentally ruined he is from Fury does anyone think he could still beat Wilder for the WBC?

If Wlad was scared to throw against Fury, who is his own size but without that one-punch KO power..... I imagine he'd be in a fetal position against Wilder.

It was a bit dull. The only thing that kept me glued to the set was the prospect of a late knockout punch by Fury, and housekeeping scurrying for brooms to sweep up Wlad's shattered chin.

Re: Would you even WANT to see a rematch? Ughhh! NOT ME!
Yes, I'm glad for a shake up in the hw, happy for Fury and his fans. But wlads neck must be hurting from all that flinching he did all night.

Maybe he is scared but he's not in the same scared league as wlad
