Cruisers Keith Tapia 16-0 vs free swinging Garrett Wilson 16-9-1....Juan Dominquez 19-0 takes on Yenifel Vicente 27-3-2 jr feathers....and lil ol' Chad Dawson 32-4 tries to salvage career with comeback vs one Shujaa El Amin 12-8 :-X. I'll just be over here talking to myself ;D.
Looks like Immanuwel Aleem 14-0 makes the card fighting Carlos Galvan 11-3-1 after Tapia -Wilson.
Tapia very composed in 1st. High guard and punches in bunches finding Wilsons head easy with uppercuts. Not sure why the switching left-right though.
Absolute war of a second round! Wilson moved with Tapia and landed a bomb of a short right to wobble Tapia, Tapia stood in and exchanged after. Emerges with a cut ruled result of punch! Tapia collected self end of round..he needs to settle the feck down.
Wilson huffing and puffing..OHHH another huge looping right stuns Tapia as he pulled out! Wilson tired but bringing shots from his boots. Tapia has everything to power box his melon off but stubborn. Lays in timing uppercuts. Good third round action
Straight punching kills Wilson, mixes shots well to head and body. But he's loading uppercut far out and playing with fire. Inside between the two is full of sneak shots with both heads jolting
Very very nice sweeping left counter catches Wilson and sends him backwards end of 5th round. Off the jab Tapia puts them together top notch. Wilson has to know he is in a hole..Tapia needs to remember who is driving here. Wilson not doing much at all to start 6th
Dominate 6th for Tapia. Looked like a guy swatting a piΓ±ata with multiple sticks. He is in love with the uppercut.
Tapia shooting off everything he wants in 7th, very solid combos from both sides often ending with short uppercut! Wilsons corner giving a Knute Rockne speech in the corner then have to shout out what round is it, what round is it??? Telling much shorter and tired Wilson to jab with Tapia..
Wilsons head has become a living breathing speed bag in the 9th. Standing on heart and stubborn pride alone, still plugging in 10th. Tapia is a fun fighter to watch
Wilson didn't dog it, better 10th but no way enough. Scores 97-93 and 99-91x2 for Tapia. Tapia not even ranked top ten by anyone? Not sure how that is
Looks like Dawson took a Unam 10 earlier in what was called a 'slow fight'. Shocker :-X
Immanuwel Aleem vs Carlos Galvan next up. Middles
Seeing yet another sharp prospect who neglects head movement in Aleem. Its becoming a trend. Solid hitter, but Galvan finding him too easy in 1st. Figure Aleem to settle dowm and box smart
Galvan here to steal the show, good work rate from all angles to start 2nd but Aleem settles last half and pot shots him at range. About to see what Galvans stamina is made of
Galvan lucky to not be dropped there, took a dip but maintained. We know the kid didn't forget leg-day. Aleem gave up his face a bit looking for KO and loses all set up.
Almost looks like a poor mans version of Imam vs Granados last week! JUst a sloppy smothered round in 4th by Aleem. Galvan working the gut and bouncing chop rights off Aleems left forehead!
Galvan loading up badly to start 5th, Aleem stands him still with one-two and staying straight down the middle with punches here. Took him this long to discover his own backfoot. Kids a conflict of heart and mind but best round in 5th.
Wow. Aleem is like two different fighters in spot. Literally follows his wide right with his face on the way in. Galvan better 6th but not enough, some sharp shots win round.
Ohhh tremendous 6 punch combination by Aleem! Set it up nice, staggers Galvan with left hook but trading with him. Kind of fight you with was 10 rounds. Aleems best round
Tough 8th, Aleem in control but can never seem to distance himself after a good moment. Resets into mauling some and loading up. That's as much to credit Galvan though. Pretty gritty scrap this one....scores 78-74...77-75 x2 Aleem
Juan Dominquez 19-0 and Yenifel Vicente 27-3-2 in 1st round. Vicente out like a man possessed with big exchanges by middle of round! Dominquez picking spots and timing Vicente late.
Dominquez having a good 2nd and then stray low on Vicente, ref grants 5 minutes and Vicente waves it on Ohh wow, Dominquez again with low blow!! Ref takes a point and again warns him for another low. Vicente pissed off end of round
:o WWOOOOW!!! That was a HUGE right hand that just knocked Dominquez COLD!!!One shot and he was out before he landed. Just a bomb dude!
Still down, putting on a neck brace on a stretcher:-\ He fell in an awkward spiral, right side of head straight in! That was as ugly a ko as you'll see. Hope he's good and its just precautionary here..
Out of the ring on stretcher. No word at all on Dominquez status yet. That just look worrisome
I love the little guys, you just cannot beat them when it comes to sustained action.
Damn, what a KO for Vicente 20 seconds in the third round, a huge overhand right as they come together and Dominguez gets carried out on the stretcher!
