Thoughts on this? I quite fancied Manny smashing lumps off of Broner to be honest. With Manny off the shelf do we finally get Brook Khan?

Meh, I would have liked to see PAcquiao in a crossroads fight of sorts. It's a pick em and all, but pretty meaningless and they don't match up all that well.
Sounds odd but if I was Bradley I'd aim higher. New trainer, new mindset off impressive beat up of Rios. Just seems like a step sideways with an off injury and off shut out loss Manny. Trilogies should mean something, this just feels like Uncle Bob milking a tired heifer for all she's got.
This is a fine fight for Bradley but Manny should be ashamed. This is a pathetic fight for him. Manny should fight JMM.
What next Manny v Rios 2?
Rios is rumoured to be fighting manny 3rd September.
Think about it.
Its Top rank benefit to keep it all in house!
I wrote it before in another thread but this fight is worthless. I honestly have zero interest in it. If Bradley wins it does him no good because it proves that pac is done. If pac wins, then it shows he is still decent but that Bradley hasn't really improved. It won't be exciting either. Pac should fight somebody that he hasn't fought.
Similar to Floyd fighting Berto, I think this is a garbage fight, although I do feel like Bradley is a tougher/more credible opponent. Neither of the previous two fights were classics/overly entertaining to me, and I feel like Manny dominated both (even though he was robbed in the first fight). All of that being said, if they put the fight on HBO I will definitely watch it and gain additional respect for Manny and Arum for giving back to the fans instead of chasing the all mighty dollar.
Arum's way of trying to make lemonade with 2 lemons. Keep the money in house. Manny loses and arum pushes bradley. Manny wins and arum points to mannys shoulder and says the floyd fight was a fluke and he wants a rematch.
Roach wanted Khan, I believe that would have been the right choice. Manny beating someone floyd didn't (khan and his following claims "wouldn't) would be the best way for manny to go out on a high and get one up on Floyd.
Arum wanted bradley, (because if manny beat crawford, arums got nothing left after manny retires).
Roach wanted Khan.
Manny wanted Marquez, Floyd, khan, Garcia, Provo, etc.
Manny has nothing to prove. He's fought all around the world. Beat gayweather all all the other top boxers.
@ruthless rocco
@denilson200
this is disappointing
I watched a bit of many Floyd again the other day and many really did try and make a fight of it and Floyd ran more than usual
Fighting on HBO means it won't cost fans money to watch the fight (assuming they already have HBO, of course), and that Manny will make much less than he would on PPV. While I'm not really interested in this fight, Bradley is a solid/dangerous opponent, even at this point of his career. Manny has fought the toughest competition of anyone since Oscar, so I'm good with his last fight not being a killer like Crawford, especially if they keep the fight off of PPV. If the fight is on PPV, however, I won't waste a dime on it and I predict it does as bad or worse than Floyd-Berto did, even though Bradley is the much better/more dangerous fighter.
This is a nothing fight but I think Bradley could beat Pac this time. Pac looks done and should retire. Obviously losing to Floyd doesn't make you done but he was poor in that fight, with the "injuries" and long layoff.
Bradley looked better than ever last time out, albeit against a really poor Rios. Whether or not Teddy's influence was overrated I'd like to see them have another go together.
At his age, I don't think Pac could fully recover from his injuries and regain his old form. Imo it's better for him to retire before he embarrasses himself. But who knows...
Which injury...?
You mean his bruised ego and public humiliation!
Exactly.
Its all part of history now anyway.
Pac will never have the chance to avenge his loss to floyd and all the hype has been resolved..its very satisfying.
Floyd put on a B class performance and we still have not seen the best of floyd..we never will.
Roll on 2016 and 50-0
Pointless fight as Pacman beat him twice already. Although the Atlas vs Roach angle could be interesting build up to the fight.
Someone should do something about the criminal relationship between the WBO and Top Rank. I'm sick of seeing year after year champions be stripped so a Top Rank fighter can go after a vacant belt against a bum. Championships are so fraudulent.
Excuse my language, but this is an appallingly shit matchup to be making. What's the point? Arum you are nearly as old as the Queen, it is time for you rotters to die.
I think I'm the only one whose OK with the fight.
I'm definitely okay with the fight.
I get that it's been done before and most feel Pacquiao should have won both, so whats the point of a third?
For Pacquiao I think he wanted a top contender but also wanted someone his team would assume he can beat. I think that if Pac wins in April he will hang around for another fight. Bradley fits that role. Crawford may have been seen as too risky.
For Bradley it's all about proving he's the better fighter. He wants that win and wants to put all doubts aside. He's added Atlas to bring a little more to the story and hopefully his game.
It's a loser leaves town kinda fight. If Pac loses he'll probably retire. Bradley would probably move to 154 if he lost.
It's a fight between two top contenders.
@Silkeyjoe - what was the prices for their last fight? (I can't remember, obviously)
It's a horrible matchup seeing as Pac won easily last time. Bradley might well win this but that is because Manny is injured, old and inactive. You shouldnt have a rematch after a fairly decisive win. It is an Arum Shylock move.
pac will throw the fight, get KOed and retire
Bradley will be arums new cash cow
