We have various state lotteries here in the us. One of them called powerball now has a jackpot of 700 million dollars. Odds of winning are something like 350 million to 1. People are getting lotto fever.tickets are 2 bucks a piece. When its this high I usually get 2or 3 tickets. Do you guys across the pond get things like this. I think the record win on this powerball was close to 600 million a while back.
@walrus. Last night I won $100 on Powerball. I knew I was going to win all day and I had that $524 million spent. ..

I get the Thunderball where the maximum win is £250,000 which is sufficient for me and I get small (40%) winnings from £3 I put in each time.
FYI so many tickets are being sold it is now up to 800 million. May be closer to 900 million on Saturdays drawing. If no one wins it may hit one billion. I bought two tickets for Saturday so I have 4dollars invested. If I win, I promise to have a saddo meeting for a lucky few in NYC for a good match. I will invite Brock but I'll give him the wrong address. I'd be more than happen to have miles come along but something tells me he'd rather visit Pyongyang than NYC.

I don't like cameras or phones, so nothing personal there. I hate using a phone really. Plus Sype here is only through some third party so you have to pay for it and I am not bothering with any of that. I prefer face to face or just the simplicity of text. I would love to visit NY, but Pyongyang would be pretty cool too.

Nobody won. The jackpot for the next drawing starts at 1.3 BIllion dollars. When I win I am going to rent out an arena - the conference room at a Holiday Inn?- to throw a party for my about to be ex friends.

Shit I bought 3 tickets, matched one number on one of them. It's gonna be funny seeing how far this gets up to.
A record £66m National Lottery jackpot will be shared between two ticket holders who each matched the six winning numbers, Camelot said.
The winning numbers were 26, 27, 46, 47, 52 and 58. The bonus number was 48.
Even though Saturday's prize total is to be shared, if each ticket is held by an individual, their £33m prize would make them the joint biggest National Lottery winners.
