Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
Not to long to wait then.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
Wlad can not be as bad this time and Fury will be improved.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
I'd like a knockout this time.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
If Wlad wins will he retire? He has money falling out of his ass. Will Wlad then go into acting? I just don't see him fighting after this. One of my friends said before the first fight that Wlad throw the first fight then beat Fury in the rematch and retire without fighting Wilder. I wonder if my friend is really wrong.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
If Wlad wins he retires. No way he's risking another loss on his record.

Wlad will try to unify before he retires.

If , and it's a big If Wlad wins, he'll cut his losses and retire. The last fight exposed flaws that not only Fury , but other fighters would be more confident of capitalising on.

Not many fighters go out on top and he has never unified the title so he will try that should he win.

Like who though? I agree it's a big ask for Wlad to win the rematch, but if he does I don't think he would be scared to fight Charles Martin or Deontay WIlder, he would still knock those guys out imo. I could see either way, but like you say just winning the rematch is obviously everything for him right now.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
How's Wlad going to win the rematch? By being more aggressive?
It's no longer programmed into his DNA. All he knows is clinch, maul, and survive.
As long as Fury represents the danger of a knockout loss for Wlad, he won't do enough to win a rematch.
On the outside chance that Fury fights a terrible fight and loses.... the division will go to shit again until Wlad finally retires.

It is crap now, look who are the champions. Wilder is learning on the job, when has a champion ever done that?

I've gradually become less and less of a Wilder fan as he continues his lifelong learning curve. Fury doesn't thrill me that much either. But anything's better than Wlad's decades long reign of timid. I long for the good ol' days of HW boxing when the Lennoxes and Tysons were ruling over the division.

I think you are blaming the wrong guy, Wlad just beat what was in front of him.

Oh I blame that parade of no-good, meek, underachieving, "there-for-the-paycheck", "show-me-a-soft-spot-to-land", mostly blubbery, non-skilled, poor excuse of challengers that went up in the ring with Wlad for most of the last decade or so. But I blame Wlad also for sucking all the joy out of watching a heavyweight fight like we were used to seeing pre-Wlad. And it's not because he was dominating in a Mike Tyson type of way. It's because he was just as scared as they were... and used any and all means to secure his victories.

By landing one big right hand, maybe when Fury switches southpaw at some point, at least that's the realistic chance he has to me. I don't think he would have taken the fight if he didn't see at least something(and it wouldn't take much) he could do differently. There were long stretches of the first fight where you honestly had to wonder if it was a joke, it would be quite something if the rematch were just as bad.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
I think Wlad will win the rematch. He'll throw a lot more punches and if he doesnt get KOd that will be enough to win in Germany. Cards close enough in first fight and that was without Wlad throwing anything.
I dont think theres another fighter in the division that has as good a chance of beating Wlad as Fury does so I dont see why hed retire if he won. Wilder would be an easy fight for Wlad imo as would Martin.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
I certainly dont see Wlad being any better in a rematch.
You have to consider this was the first genuine top world class fighter Fury has faced and he went in focussed and handled Wlad comfortably. This was his first world title fight against one of the most dangerous fighters ever and in Germany. Its all experience in the bank for Tyson and is still getting better whereas Wlad did the best he could.
This is why afer time considering it id be surprised if Wlad doesnt pull out somehow and try for the IBF.
Hes not been one before to go in to immediate rematches where hes lost and only rematched one of the previous 3. If anyone stole Wlads confidence its Tyson. He didnt come from behind, he didnt benefit from Wlad fighting away from home. Or on his own promoters show. He just completely dominated Wlad on Wlads own show in his adopted home of Germany and pretty much did as he said he would. If Tyson effected Wlad in the lead up last time how is Wlad going to cope knowing now that what Tyson says is true?
Ill be impressed with Wlad as a man if he does go through with it but if he does, he doesnt win!

Hard to see him being any worse though
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
Tyson Fury will have evolved from this and still has room for improvement.
Wlad did as good as will do against Tyson and most people envisage Tyson stopping Wlad next time round. That wont be doing any better.

Fury stoppage is the least likely outcome with the bookies.
