Keith was probably letting his dogs drive his Prius again.

Anyone got pics or video of this brutal car accident ? Oh sorry. Here it is

One time Thurman ? More like run time. Had it been real, the focus would have been on the severity of the injury, not the postponement
I don't want to make light of any type of car accident, but this is too convenient.
Boxingscene says the fight has to happen next for both of them, it's just going to be postponed.
I don't see Thurman as the kind of guy to fake an injury to get put of a fight. If anything, it will hurt his chances of winning because he has to take a break from training for a while.
I'm just mad because I've really been looking forward to this fight for a while. It's not everyday when two top welters actually fight each other
Was really looking forward to this one. Porter seemed like he was laser focused!
Porter needed this more than Thurman. Keith is the man and hope he recovers and unifies the division. Forget Porter and beat Brooks
ooh really wanna see thurman fight! hope there will be a new date released soon!
Compare keith thurman resume to bradley...worlds apart.
what's the thing with little stupid dogs in America nowadays
looks gay
A couple weeks ago an the wife of an NBA coach died in a car crash due to another person driving with a dog in their lap.
I am going all in on a Porter tko now. Thurman will know the definition of physicality standing you still and why you don't leave your hands extended. Great fight potential this one
Damit Spicoli, I thought this fight had been cancelled again when it was the first thread showing :p Total pick em for me, interesting clash. I expect Thurman to look pretty good and land mostly what he wants in the early rounds. Does he hit hard enough to hurt/significantly deter Porter, and will he be able to keep boxing if not? Has Porter got any ability to adapt if things don't start going his way after the first few rounds, or Thurman doesn't tire? I don't think either have a good chance of beating Kel Brook or Spence, which is the real fight to be made in the divison.
Compared to Porter he is skilled. As a stand alone statement he is not. His "boxing" is him literally running away until he can plant his feet to throw one shot before running again. I put quotes on boxing because it is not educated movement, it is not purposeful except to get away. There are far more purposes to movement that Thurman does not employ than purposes he does employ.
I changed the thread title as I just thought... fuck!! Before realising it was an old thread :D
Can't pick a winner yet. Seeing Thurman back peddling in agony against old Collazo last time makes me think anything can happen. Porter's bull strength charge against Thurman's sharp shooting. Cracking fight.
if Thurman had a reasonable hair cut and not so shit dogs I might want him to win
but he hasn't so I dont
Definitely a a tough choice.
I think Thurman will have more opportunities to twin this fight with Shawn often times fighting square. Thurmans got a bigger target standing in front of him and following him around the ring. So Thurman may want to try to land big early and avoid a war and the kind of damage / wear and tear that comes with it. A longer fight with a pit bull like porter wont be as forgiving as his prius was.
While thurman has more opportunity to win the fight his way, i think Shawn (and Kenny) have more ways to win this.
- They know thurmans going to try to establish early and deter Shawn on the idea of getting comfortable inside and swarming. So they could use some faints and some angular in and out to cut down thurmans opportunity and get him on his bike and then swarm him late as his power and his legs fade. I think its too much of a gamble to possibly let thurman rack up any rounds.
- They could choose to swarm Thurman early while being careful of that kind of potshot broner caught him with. Sitting in the pocket takes the sting off of some of thurmans punches and keeping him on his heels and pushing him back builds a could rack up points while grinding thurman down and killing his chances of a second half comeback.
I hope Porter can pull this off as i love his work ethic and the fact that they're constantly looking for new things to add to his game. The blindfold sensitivity drills and adding the fight ball/ reflex ball (thought he didn't that effective with it) just shows he's trying to give himself the best chances to win. Hard to not get behind a fighter like that.
well if Thurman is anywhere near the level a lot of people put him at, he has to beat Porter. Porter is no pushover for nobody and certainly has a chance. the stupid thing is that If Porter did win, Brook's stock goes up even though he hasn't been fighting anybody remotely competitive.
Not as excited about this fight as I was months ago. Accidents happen, but stil..
Sparring session

That's a bit of my thinking as I don't see much in between game with Thurman. Rolling to flat feet and looking for power or in the case of Bundu where he basically had his peterpan shoes on and was doing a bit of stiff posture boxing. He has this rigidity to him when moving out and often backs straight facing high pressure. He was rocked across the ring vs Soto Karass and momentarily looked clueless and both Guerrero...his biggest fight to date?...and Callozo had him buzzed. Think he'll be forced into some taxing clichés and heavy mauling with what should be a heavier Porter who hits you with these chopping shots and both shoulders. Mentally get a feeling Porter is much more aware of himself than Thurman who is quite the theatrical fella but we'll see.
the show has started on errr whatever channel this is, seattle news was just on before , so i assume it is an american tv channel :S maybe cbs nbc or some other 3 letter acronym :S
I just think porter is a bit empty headed, strong, tough and energetic but just lacking activity upstairs, so who knows if his strength can overcome this... I would like thurman to win as he is the undefeated fellow here and I would find it more interesting for the division if he won.
also is this for the real wba belt or the 2nd rate one, I can't keep up with the wba and their super champions :S
aha it is cbs
Nothing on the front page for this one;D. Card is starting and it looks like there is virtually no undercard except for two undefeated guys I haven't seen, might be the only other televised fight?
Ghost town??? Jarrett Hurd vs Oscar Molina starts
Yup PBC on CBS. Didn't see you'd bumped this so just made a thread, fine if someone wants to delete it. This fight right now could be good, two undefeated guys with a bit of substance to their records.
should be an interesting main event
Jarret Hurd v Oscar Molina
I have not heard of these fellows but that doesnt mean much, looks like hurd is the favourite here.
oh dear molina down pretty hard already :S maybe they will need to find another filler fight before the main event :S
I like this Hurd guy, no idea how good he is but nice relaxed style with some sneaky uppers.
Nothing like a pin point uppercut! Still wobbly
Not a smart round for Hurd.
In close quarters you can really see the size difference. Could be camera angles but Hurd looks noticeably bigger.
Good fight.
