The Crawford fight ain't getting much attention. But Lundy can fight and can be entertaining so we might get a decent fight.
Crawford should win comfortably though.
This should be another showcase for Verdejo.
Lundy is a decent fighter but isn't at all in the same class as Crawford. I really hope that Crawford can fight postol after they each win their tune up fights.
Lundy talking about bringing a war means Lundy on the canvas. Could see Crawford appearing a division or two bigger and wouldn't shock to see him torture and KO Lundy with the switch hitting. Hoping for fireworks!
Hammerin Hank shows up to fight and it should be fun while it lasts, but I think Hank will be staying down in this one.
Crawford is in a good position to rule this division for a while and continue to build his name......all without the pressure to even move up to 147. He can wait til the smoke clears at 147 which will take at least 2-3 more years.
Even if Crawford does move up to Welter soon, the top guys will avoid him like crazy. They don't want the risk.
Welcome aboard. I'm glad he took the "hammerin" out of his name. He's tough but that nickname belongs to another. Just Hank is fine. There will only ever be one Henry Armstrong. Crawford looked like he made weight easily. 140 is a bit of a wasteland. Not really all that much there for him. I was hoping we might get a Matthysse fight but he's coming back at welter
I have a soft spot for Lundy watching him fight on ESPN and seeing his career develop. I wish him well but know Crawford is very humble and special.
Wait and till you see Me and @ross go at it! ;D nah, welcome mate.
Sean Monaghan won by 5th round TKO. He should fight a decent opponent like Shabranskyy next.
HBO telecast starts at 11:00 pm here!! :o
Damn.... what a time for the forum to get slow.
Well.... spent every break between rounds trying to get on unsuccessfully.
Felix didn't look that good, but should get the decision handily here.
the brazillian fellow seems to think he has won... how odd :S
Can't believe the Brazilian corner thought they had won the fight.
Surely they can't have actually believed that :S. I thought when the corner told him he was winning the fight it was just some kind of mistake by the translator .... but at the end it really looked like he believed he had won :S Bizzare...
I thought it was a pretty good performance from a youngster like verdejo, he will learn a lot from this one I think. Silva is nothing special but he doesn't look crap and he is tall, Looked to me like he felt some of the punches and just didnt know what to do, so he wasn't really interested in getting into it.. Verdejo didnt fight stupid and pretty much won every round hats off to him, he is only 22 too, well done to him.
We crashed there? Lundy going for it early. If Crawford is less than 160 lbs i'm Santa clause
Hank is giving his all here.
Crawford is nasty man. Broke him down
Lmao at the ref's eyes and facial expressions
Crawford never loses his focus. Accurate straight punches even when trying to defend against Lundy's wingers. Even when he was caught a few times he just stayed on him.
I like crawford, he is like a shark, he seems calm and focused and when he sees blood he goes into attack mode, hats off to him. I like how he reacts to his oppositions behaviour too... He was harsh on dierry jeans antics and he gave Lundy a hard time after the ref stopped it(leaning over the refs shoulder to get in his face) and then afterwards he was nice about it.. I like the way he does things, some guys add in the theatrics to the things they say but when crawford speaks you know he means it.
Cracking scrap that one, enjoyed it, ten times better that quimpton last night.
Crawford v Broner would be good just to see Crawford go to town on him, Postol would be a brilliant match up but I can't see that being made anytime soon
I think he would've caught a few less times if he wasn't trying to adjust to south paw. At the same time as much as I wanted to see Lundy put to sleep, there part of me that feels a little dissatisfied with him catching Crawford the way he did and Crawford just walking through it because he was so much bigger at the weight. Don't get me wrong, I know lundy's not a huge puncher, but there was no sense of urgency, threat or change from Crawford after we saw him caught by probably some of the better shots since gamboa. Crawford was just trying out his south paw sea legs and playing seek and destroy. You get the feeling that this could have been over earlier if Crawford willed it so....
Just managed to watch this fight. Lundy is very brave, very gutsy, and he ain't gonna die wondering is he? Respect to him, that's how you challenge a top fighter.
As for Crawford, fucking hell! I just like this guy more and more every time I watch him. He took some big shots, but he took them so well! He is a fucking beast and he looks like he could go up to the next division now! This guy is the real deal!!!
