No date set, who thinks this is the end of Wilder?
Let's hope it actually happens
Not gonna happen.
Not in Russia.
my money would be on provetkin although I think its an interesting fight
look how provetkin struggled with huck
I was ready for Povetkin to exploit wilder's flaws but after watching more fights on povetkin, I have an easier time seeing Wilder catch him than I did before....so i'll hold out on a opinion till i see how the camps go .
It's a five million dollar payday for Wilder so I can't see him not turning up. If he does bottle it and give up the belt he wouldn't make that in his next four or five fights.
Huck fight was years ago and against Wlad, Povetkin did well when he was allowed. Pov has added more muscle but I think Wilder will win this like Rocky against Drago.
From the comfy confines of Alabama to mother Russia. That's a transition. I could easily see Povetkin being caught and dropped early. I can also see Wilder choking up out of his element and that leaky defense and lack of quality contested rounds combining to finally capsize his big bronze boat.
I'm going with Wilder
Both will give their all.
I'm rooting for Povetkin.

Povetkin will look great against similar sized heavies but hes not great against taller ones and he has no head movement. I think Wilder beats him!
Remember whilder has really been improving some of his boxing skills lately and it's just such an all-around physical specimen an excellent athlete that it will be tough to beat him if he comes prepared. And then he always has the silencer when he runs out of ideas which is his awesome power and reach. Wilder will be tough to beat for anybody
It's now set for May 21 in Moscow.

I think that's a bit harsh on povetkin there, he did perform well v the two polish chaps who are tall fellows Wach is over 6 -6 and the other guy who's name i don't know how to spell is around 6-6, obviously they are not the top level of tall guys but they are still fair competition, it all depends on how good Wilder is really because I certainly agree that povetkin can be easy to hit sometimes due to his dodgy head movement. Povetkin really did a good a job on the slightly shorter polish guy a 3 round ko if I remember right.
I am hoping povetkin wins but I suspect the fight will be fairly similar to the wilder szpilka one and wilder will get a ko late on.
Wilder needs to be caught early. The minute that stallion gets past the fifth round he starts to settle into a real confidence position and is practically unbeatable past the fifth or the sixth round
I think this is another one where the home promoter is praying that the away fighter gets unsettled enough to lose. Personally, I think if Wilder can handle the change in conditions, he should win. They will obviously be trying to keep him in an Alabama State of Mind, except in Russia.
