James Toney v Joe Bugner at O2
Just heard from a reliable source that Bugner versus Toney is on the undercard for Hayeday at the O2 on 21st May, should be worth a look.

Yes I was Ross in the 70's and 80's , got the programs, posters etc. to prove it. My old man went to the Cooper fight and I couldn't afford to. Me and the old man spent the rest of his life arguing about the result.
Re: James Toney v Joe Bugner at O2
watched Broner call out Mayweather tonight. Best April fool joke ever

Bugner was a giant pain in the ass. He had all the attributes and talent in the world but just not the dedication. Beating the English idol did not help his cause and then not making an effort against Ali was his downfall.
Bruno and Scott Welch beat him good.

I have to grudgingly admit that you are right, since my dad died in 2001 you are unable to tell him!
Met Scott Welch at the airport en route to Haye Valuev fight, nice bloke.
Bugners two biggest mistakes (of many) were a. not taking out Joe Frazier when he had the chance and b. not fighting Gerry Cooney to replace him as the 'white hope', Cooney was useless but had a massive following.
Re: James Toney v Joe Bugner at O2
I do not think Bugner would have beaten at that time, think he would have been too old.
Scott is training a heavyweight and was interviewed last week. Very humble and down to earth guy.

It was Nick Webb who is undefeated in 5 fights. Scott said he was only interested in fighters that were willing to try and put an effort into their career and this guy was that. Scott has been training amateur fighters and I think this is one of his first professional fighters he is training.
