Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
Dillian Whyte-Hughie Fury Ordered To Fight For British Title - Boxing News
Please let this happen. The eliminators look shit if either drops out. This could be a great fight. Not sure who I would go for, but it's definitely a fight that we should be seeing.

Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
Why not? I have a feeling you're right, but I'm curious as to why? For me and for the fans, it's exactly the type of fight we should be seeing.
-
Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
Just read Peter Fury's twitter feed. So basically a.) Dillian is almost like part of team Fury, and b.) Hughie is "Ill" again.
So now ,we'll have to see these crap eliminators rather than perhaps Price, Chisora or Haye.
@ross, does this count as a duck from Hughie , the same as Haye "ducked" Tyson?
Personally, for the record, I don't think it's a duck and I don't think Haye's was either.

Fucking yawn at the whole lot, no money in it, nobody pays for seats or PPV, dying on its feet.
-
Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
All sounds very odd. Hughie is poorly, but the fight wont take place until what September? And Hughie is planning a fight before then anyway?
If it's because Dillian is a friend why bother with the illness line?
Shame, would have been a good test for both.
-
Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
Its to do with the WBO rankings I think. Hughie has some belt in there now and a British title fight would probably lose that. I suppose with that belt he can fight ranked fighters without getting avoided himself and move up the rankings. Dillian Whyte isnt ranked by world organisation.
Haye actually signed to fight twice and pulled out twice of a massive event. Hughie is turning down a british level title fight.
-
Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
So Hughie is swerving the Whyte fight to protect a WBO ranking that he cant really act on because Tyson is champ?
Personally, I'd ditch a WBO Intertoto belt any day of the week for a Lonsdale belt.

Haye had a cut eye with 8 or 9 stitches 8 days before the fight, then had a shoulder op and was out for over 3 years. all documented with pictures and medical statements.
so he's going to sign for a fight and then drop out TWICE , lose £5 million , not earn any money for 3 years, go to near bankruptcy , avoid Jail in Dubai by the skin of his teeth, all because he's scared to fight Tyson Fury is he?
Whereas Hughie ;
1. has over a year off with an "Illness"
2. Turns down a World title shot with Deontay Wilder because the team "want to have a good Christmas."
3. state that they would take a Joshua fight "in a heartbeat", yet turn down a British title fight with Whyte.
4. State that Hughie has another "Illness" despite the fact that the fight would be Mid September and he is scheduled to fight in July.
5. use the rationale that they would prefer to chase a higher ranking with a governing body that his Cousin is World Champion of , so he wouldn't be fighting for it anyway. (I'm sure they think Tyson will drop that title so Hughie can fight for it , blah, blah, blah.)
Now I'm not necessarily claiming Hughie is a ducker or a bullshitter, but I'm just pointing out how "facts" can be made to look how you want them to.

Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
There's no excuse for dodging this fight other than Peter Fury doesn't fancy it. You can't keep waffling on about being swerved when you publicly turn down title fights like this let alone "world" ones.

100%
I personally think its too soon for Hughie. He needs to develop more power. I think Dillian Whyte is actually very good. If he was American hed be no. 2 to Wilder.
Furys are pretty smart. They arent going to take any risks unless its a big payday. Tyson didnt take any chances until he signed for big money v Haye and then Klitschko. Hughie will likely be the same.

Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
Since this isnt happening it looks like itll be Whyte v the White Rhino. Havent seen much of Allen but wasnt impressed with what I have seen.
-
Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
Allen can be a bit lazy but is tough as they come. Sparred everyone, Fury, Klitschkos, Joshua, Helenius never been hurt.
Reckons he gave Joshua a bit of a going over but was a few years ago.
Trying to share a facebook post by Dave Allen on sparring Joshua using the embed feature from facebook. Not sure if any mod can make sense of it for me. The post is from 25th April this year if you want to see.

Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
Yes that final link works and serves as cast iron proof that he gave Joshua a going over ;D

I only saw his most recent fight against Jason Gavern, and he looked like there's a lot of development to do before he should be going in for a British title. With the top end all more interested in aiming higher than British title level in the heavyweights, it could end up in some relatively inexperienced hands whoever does get to fight Dilian.

That wasnt where he said that. Just thought others may find it interesting.
Especially his assesment of the various fighters hes sparred power. He reckons Tyson can generate more power than all of them and is the only fighter to have him hurt, to the body with a left hook.

Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
Dillian Whyte would beat the snot out of Hughie next week next year or when ever,!;) Hughie will never
be World class don't kid yourself he is British level at best.
I think he is pretty poor to be honest they will have to match him carefully at British level, seen him fight
on a good few occasions and he has failed to impress me one bit, would I pay to see him fight NO.

Hes only british level but clearly beat Rudenko who should have got the decision over Brown? Then beat easily and won every round against Arias who went on to push and win rounds against Pulev? He also then easily won every round and made it look like a boring sparring match against the man who should have a win over Joshuas next opponent and Arreola!;D;D
All this while hes still only 21!?
Pull the other one:rolleyes:

Speak for yourself dude, yeesh :p He beat a few guys who were remotely competitive against another few guys...You can make anyone out to be good if you play that game. I've seen two of those fights and he just didn't look very good. You're telling me he impressed you against Kassi?

He didnt lose one second against Kassi unlike Arreola and Joshuas next opponent!;D

Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
Arreola(now) and Brezeale are dogshit! That's not answering the question.
-
Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
Arreola and Brezeale would most likely beat Baby Hughie....I expect Whyte will spark him good

Again Ross just because Hughie beat Rudenko comfier than Browne did doesnt make him better. Your so fucking thick when it comes to this. By your logic Price is better than Fury because he did better against McDermott

Ross you make great fish fingers mate,;D but Hughie is simply SHIT seen to many fighters and I can't
see him being a force in the HW division he maybe Tyson's cousin but that does not make him a world beater,!!!!! Ross I don't mind being proven wrong but in this case I don't think I will be.;)

Bit different though. I mean "excuse" is a tad harsh. After all, he actually did have an operation. He didn't get cured by swimming in the holy sea or some other kind of bullshit.

Re: Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte for the British Title!!!
It seems Hughie's dad has said Hughie is fighting at 30% due to a skin condition, which could take
up to 5 months to clear with medication,! I hope he makes a full recovery but I still don't think he will ever be a World beater.

He had some pics taken in hospital for sure, and even dropped a surgeons name for good measure. But has he ever actually said what was wrong with the shoulder or what corrective procedure he had done? Damaged it before the fight is utter bullshit. Damaged it in round two is also utter bullshit.

It's certainly debatable when he actually did it, who can say. But he DID have an injury. People don't go under the knife just for the crack.

Ok. So what was the actual injury? All I've ever read or heard is it was a shoulder injury. A bit like a footballer being sidelined with a bad leg.

To be honest I don't think it is particularly news worthy to report that Dillian Whyte has "a 3rd degree tear of the Clavicle " or some other medical bullshit.
After all he's not David Beckham is he?
And I shouldn't think Dillian Whyte would be able to understand or spell what his injury actually was.
Let me get this right though, are you actually doubting that Whyte ended up with an injury?

If the man said he had an injury the man had an injury. I just find it odd that in World where Dillian Whyte can share what he had for breakfast instantaneously, he hasn't as far as I can see been able to share the nature of the injury and what was done to fix it. After all, Whyte claimed the shoulder cost him the fight didn't he. It didn't stop him from throwing the left hand for the duration of the fight, but it cost him. People cried bullshit straight away and Whytes response was a picture from his hospital bed and words that amounted to 'shoulder poorly, Doctor man fix'. It all sounds a bit........suss.

I don't think it sounds "suss". I dispute the fact the injury cost him the fight. I think that the 100% best there's ever been Whyte would not have beaten AJ.
But I don't dispute that there was some sort of injury. There are certain injections that can numb the pain (legal of course)and allow you to throw punches with relative lack of pain, and that could've been wearing off.
Or , he could've opened up an old injury and the adrenaline allowed him to be able to continue of a fashion, but possibly restrictive.
I don't really know, but I know he didn't really have to hide behind a fake injury after that performance and I know that he allowed people to cut his shoulder open after the fight to try to "fix" it.
I don't think he mocked up a hospital bed and slings etc. just so he could put a picture on social media.
