As I said earlier after Burns won a title today, the WBA are the worst! I watched a bit of the guy Mosleys fighting and he's pretty average but that might well be enough to send Shane home. Mosley sounds horrible lately, kind of hoping he can't get anything off and gets the message.
He's always had a gravelly voice.
Saw him a couple months ago and he looked stuck in mid sentence. Honestly of what value..should he win..this is for Thurman or Porter I have no idea. A step back really and likewise hoping he gets handled for his own sake tonight. That's not to say Avanesyan belongs there either. Anything for sanctioning fee(s) eh :-XQuote:

Haha yeah. Yong isn't in shape but he has landed some good stuff and can't really miss when he does let his hands go. If JR had fought the same opponents he'd probably have lost 6 of his last 7 as well, pretty bad.Quote:

Man it is like no one ever looks at the greats that did not call it a day at the right time. Jones is fighting in a circus tent is that not enough to tell a fighter that could be you if you keep on going. I am just glad Holyfeild said pretty much no way he comeback because he was close to that as well.
Can't fault Mosley for this fight if he needed the money I guess, he had a good chance and stayed in the fight. His timing is gone and he can't throw a combination to save his life anymore, but he had a very beatable opponent in front of him who wasn't a puncher. Hopefully Shane retires now, he'd get clobbered and probably suffer the first real stoppage of his career against anyone a bit better.
In this case spoiler is a good thing. No need to watch a great look gone.
it was for the interim wba title so whether or not it is actually for a shot at the winner of THURMAN v porter is unclear :S the wba really do like having as many champions as possible, I wouldnt be surprised to see this fellow stay interim champ for ages :SQuote:

I wouldn't be that surprised to see Porter beat Thurman. He's easy to hit and without any fundamentals, but I don't see Thurman as a guy who controls distance or conserves his energy to well. For a guy billed as a KO puncher, he's gone the distance against basically every good fighter he's been in with and has looked wanting in the late rounds a couple times. I'm sure he'll win since I'm saying this, but I give Porter a decent chance to weather an early storm and overpower him.
Think the name and fellow promotion would have trumped it up as obvious full champion match to come but Avenasyan with a trinket is also a disposable champ match for Porte-Thurman. Zero ranking by another group so he'll do what Haymon and wba barks just to pass the copper along and consider himself a player. Porters physicality will test Thurman like never before while we're at it. Thurman has been rocked across the ring by far lesser punchers. Am watching this now and fast forwarding it to be honest. Mosley's legs have gone, he's looking like a white man dancing compared to how he used to move. Typical shot fighter legs. Sugar Shane is now all herky jerky body movement too. Oh dear. If this Armenian bloke is struggling to beat 2016 Shane he's not going to be pulling up any trees in this weight division.
I read that Shane is close to Porter and therefore he would not fight him anyway.
Close fight, but thought Mosley was outworked as the fight went on. He gave a good showing despite being semi shot. Should retire really as he has nowhere to go.
So who won the fight between these guys does anybody know because i have not been able find the result to the fight. Either way it is really going to be a sad thing to see him fight because he is so old. I hate that he has gone down the Jones and Holyfeild route because it never a good thing.
