Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
http://www.boxingscene.com/drozd-exe...bellew--105161
Fair play to Bellew he did really well. I'm not a fan of his but he did really well to win the title in dramatic style. The atmosphere was great, I had a really good day out. Nursing a bit of a hangover today haha!! Drozd has the right to fight for the title so I'd expect to see this next. How would that one go? I've never seen him fight. Haye has also said he's open to a Bellew fight and would smash him to bits but I highly doubt Haye would go back down and I dont see Bellew going to heavyweight. Think Bellew should look for unification too, he's a lot better at cruiserweight but he's still there to be hit. He did well to recover from the knockdown though. Good to see Britain having so many world champions though I was also impressed with Burns too!

Joshua would blow Haye out if the water. Joshua/Haye =Foreman/Frazier

Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
What's the aggro between Haye and Bellew? Have I missed something? The dopey presenter on Haye's last show was the one that linked the millionaire white collar geezer with Bellew.
-
Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
Clearly Haye-Bellew can't happen but the cruiserweight Haye would have had Bellew unconscious inside 3 minutes. The speed disparity alone would have been enough

Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
Yeah the only way this happens is if Haye gets banged out by Briggs and has nowhere else to go and want's one last payday and I don't the Belle fight brings that -Evertons ground was half empty on Saturday night and Bellew simply doesn't bring big money , he'd have to lose a shitload of timber as well to get back to Cruiser, won't happen.

Or if Bellew loses his title and keeps talking big and goes up to HW .
Either way it's a load of bollocks and to be fair it's all Bellew's doing, he called out Haye for whatever stupid reasons he has.

David Haye responds to Tony Bellew calling him out: ''You're going to get smashed to bits''
The Liverpudlian referred to the former heavyweight world champion as a 'Bermondsey b***h' following his victory over Ilunga Makabu on Saturday
David Haye has responded to Tony Bellew after the newly crowned WBC cruiserweight champion called him out following his victory over Ilunga Makabu at Goodison Park on Saturday.
Bellew won the vacant belt with a third-round knockout of his Congolese opponent, and afterwards called Haye, who has recently made a return to the ring after three and a half years away, a 'Bermondsey b***h'.
Haye has won both his fights in emphatic fashion since his comeback, and has told Bellew 'you're going to get smashed to bits'.
"This is a message for Tony Bellew," Haye said on a video posted to his Instagram page.
"First off, congratulations. Winning in front of your home town, home fans, home football club, blah blah blah. Congratulations. You won the vacant WBC title. Lifelong ambition realised. Congratulations.
"But amongst all the excitement, maybe that punch you took in the first round that dropped you, your brain got scrambled, because it looks like you really want to get knocked out by calling me a Bermondsey b***h.
"Talking about knocking me out - you must have lost your God damn mind.
"After I've knocked out Shannon Briggs, who has been giving it a lot of that himself, if you want to be on the list too, I'm knocking out all people talking too much, so get in the list, mate. You're going to get smashed to bits.
"I used to be a cruiserweight, we're both the same height, we're both a similar size. Let's do it if you want it."

Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
Didn't I see recently that Haye had said "I don't see any need to drag out negotiations with Briggs".....and now this :vd:
David Haye is a pathological liar, he's a narcissist of the highest order and he will drag his fucking feet all day long until he is all but FORCED to fight SOME opponent of his liking and I could have told you that 9 years ago!

Hilarious response by Haye and I tend to agree with him.
Bellew is NOT even a real cruiser. Haye would absolutely wreck him as easily as he's been KOn those heavyweight bums.
Haye was undisputed cruiser weight champ at one time after KOn a prime Enzo.

Easy money for Haye and Bellew has half hyped it up, don't think it will be at Everton, maybe Wembley, or York Hall?

You're asking the wrong American lol
If I were Haye id rather fight Bellew than some crazed roused up monster with Tourette Syndrome screaming "Let's go champ!" constantly.

I dunno what the gist of this thread is
are people interested in Bellew Haye or not?
I am, I think it would be a great night
-
Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
Zero interest
if you do go to it, if it happens, then don't go for a piss just before it starts

Fucking nobody! I wouldn't pay tuppence to watch him fight.
Having said that Enzo Maccarinelli would be fun, I reckon Enzo would do him.😄
-
Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
Agreed . I won't be watching whatever fight he has
Unless it's in Creed II
-
Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
so your opinions aren't - "I don't like the haye bellew fight" or even "I don't like to see Bellew fight" but are "I don't like Bellew" type of opinions?
that right?
-
Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
I don't like the Haye v Bellew fight idea (mismatch)
And I'm not keen on Bellew - he was just like his Creed character

actually thinking more about it now - Haye
that way it can all be over very quickly
unlike this thread

Not really mate. My opinion is that Bellew isn't that great, he's been gifted World title shots when he hadn't earnt them and earns way more than he should for a man of his ability. Especially in one of the less prestigious divisions.
You tell me, is he good enough for..
a. A PPV fight?
b. A Stadium Fight?
Cos he's done both, and when I say Brit boxing fans are mugs for putting up with and supporting shit like this, I get slated. But it's fucking true.
I'll give him credit for the fact that financially he has punched well above his weight!
Btw , obviously I also can't fucking stick him.😂
-
Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
how well did the bellew clev fight sell?
and as mentioned the stadium was pretty empty, if id have thought about it I might have gone even
I think bellew is better than people give him credit for, he looked very good on sunday being the underdog, id give him a chance against most cruisers
thing is, my point on this thread is, Bellew Haye is a good fight in comparison to what else is on offer, apart from the top 5 heavies (which wont happen any time soon) who would you rather see haye fight than bellew?
and pick the best cruiser in the world (other than bellew obviously) would you rather see bellew fight him in someones garage (some Russian you have seen clips of once or twice) or haye in an all british showdowmn at the o2?
-
I said before, I'd rather see Bellew fight Maccarinelli. Maccarinelli has done way more than Bellew has and I believe is still a better CW.

I wouldn't mind seeing that fight
i'm not sure mac is anywhere near what he was though, and I cant see that fight going on for too long

Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
Lebedev isn't some unknown, and I think Bellew would be really hard pressed to win that fight but it could be very good. Would far rather see that myself.

Yeah it would be an interesting fight, and for people like me and you, who are well aware of lebedev, then that's understandable
But the vast majority of Brits have probly never heard of him the haye fight is much more interesting
I'd rather see Bellew haye, big fight for Britain that one

Why? It's not one Bellew would realistically have any chance to win unless Haye killed himself trying to get to 200, and why would he do that when he can earn decent money to do nothing but lift weights and fight tomato cans? Plus, what would it actually do for either guy or boxing in Britain? If Bellew were to beat Lebedev at home(I wouldn't expect it but at least it's a fight), would it not be better for British boxing?

It's possible haye would blast him out in a round
I think Bellew is better than that tho, we'd get 4 or 5 at least

I think it would reflect badly on Haye if that were to happen, and it wouldn't have much to do with how good Bellew is or isn't when it didn't. Unless(and as is probably the case) Haye couldn't make 200 pounds and the fight couldn't happen anyways. Bellew was talking about moving to HW to make it the other day, he'd be retarded to do that.
-
Re: Haye open to Bellew, Drozd wants Bellew.
Bellew is far to easy to git to even consider fighting Haye!

Ok. So if he lost , what would that mean. Wouldn't it be bad for British boxing?
I mean, it'll be an example of somebody bullshitting their way to a shit load of money?
Or doesn't it work both ways?

are you asking that if bellew beating lebedev would be a golden star for Britain would he losing to lebedev be a black spot on the landscape of british boxing?
and that is to say that a loss would prove that it is clearly possible to talk your way to make money in British boxing?

Precisely! it would say exactly that and make British Boxing be seen all over the World as a Hype Job.
I've asked before, but is Bellew
a Stadium Fighter?
a ppv fighter?
ps. are you sure you wrote the last post Eric? because it wasn't written in your writing style. It was very intelligently written . :) :)
