HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Not a lot of talk about this potential quality scrap ??? but with heavy hearts we carry on with all action Vargas and Salido in the main event. Featherweights Julian Ramirez 16-0 fights Abraham Lopez 20-0-1 in co main. Kicks off now
Card should run into Artur Beterbiev card on ESPN that starts in thirty minutes. Interested to see him post injury

Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Cool, just started watching. I think Salido is easily one of the dirtiest fighters in boxing and always root against him, thinking a bad loss for him is the most likely outcome here too. Guy has been around on a high level forever now though, without the style that typically allows for that. He may have been on some nice PEDs forever as well. Did I mention I don't like him.

Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Hbo broadcast choppy again? Has to be a local technical issue. Feel like I'm watching from the space shuttle with delay and skips :-X
Great sneak uppercut just rocked Ramirez! Lopez bigger fresher in 2nd, both teeing off

Vargas V salido HBO
Vargas was in the great fight v the japanese world champion miura last year( i think on the cotto alvarez undercard). Defendsthe title v Salido tonight, should be a great fight, well I hope so.
Currently Julian Ramirez is fighting Abraham Lopez, pretty mad 2nd round with both of them having phases of pounding the other guy, not a lot of defence going on but it's a lot of fun.... well for us watching :S

;D was thinking same. For the warrior Salido is he's also fortunate to have nine lives and yet another chance after drinking the kool aid. Vargas was in a blender last out and think he'll out Salido Salido before it's over

Yeah man Vargas-Muira was a war, crazy fight. This fight could have probably been like that if Salido was five years younger, but maybe still. Is the main event next after this one?

Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
I'm worried for Letterman... cannot see a shut out for Ramirez and have Lopez ahead into 6th. Really think he has mixed up the two ???
ugly cut over Ramirez result of butt. Beterbiev card kicking off now on ESPN. I see a Teddy comeback ! ;D
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Ramirez literally looks a young Gatti in the moment. Jack Reiss making bad calls on butt? Shocked man.

Should be next up, 30 minutes? Rosado fight is over. Hopefully it starts before Beterbiev main. This head to head card shat needs to go

Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
I was wonering that too about Leterman, I'd stopped even paying much attention because it seemed Lopez was cruising haha, and I'm trying to find a better feed :C
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Lopez let this one get away is the feeling, he stands him still when he puts even decent shots together. Ramirez laying in and looks labored but welting up the face of Lopez final round here! Very solid scrap but smell a close screw job coming
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
97-93 x2 98-92 Lopez! Didn't have it THAT wide but believe they got it right. Lampley and Kellerman shocked :-X

Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Someone could shut these clowns up yelling during Ali tribute that'd be great, stay classy Stub Hub. This ain't 'Wraslin man!
Ali's probably still shouting too though if we're honest. No doubt

Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Mystery man Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna up for Artur Beterbiev in his return. Saw his ugly foul filled brawl with Edwin Rodriquez but otherwise he's a spr middle moving up tonight.
Salido and Vargas. totally forgot Vargas tested dirty as well :vd: how is this for a title if that's the case? Both coming to ring

seems they accepeted that vargas ate bad meat :S
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Physically Salido looks war torn and bothered and it's only the 2nd. He's trying to lay in and cripple Vargas body as he gives it up jumping in. Vargas much sharper. Might need two refs rate this is going

Was going with Oscar as promoter but all the same ;D:-X
note the time...Lampley just went "BANG BANG BANG" again. Bringing back the classics.

Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!

yes the two usually go hand in hand... good promoters/lawyers = bulletproof :S.... although ot be fair it has been reported a few times that mexican beef has a problem with the clenbuterol :S but due to the properties of it as a fat burner i could certainly see vargas using it, unfortunatley we just have to go with the drug testers on this one :S
I am going to be brave and pick salido to win by ko here in the 9th round...got to love the mexican fighters !
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Since when didn't infighting become "Mexican Style"?
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Vargas back in 5th but showing some damage, Salido with the elbow-headbutt right hook combo. His body shots are pin point though
Salido in trouble! Absolute free swinging scrap
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
that was a fun round ! drinking cariboo beer so i am not scoring this at all... no idea who is winning on the cards but this is a lot of fun ! I am sticking with salido by ko/tko

Roy sounds like last nights Trump speech here ;D Bad enough they are piping in 'La Chona" between every round on loud speaker :-X

Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Another headbutt by Salido and the left eye of Vargas is open in 8th.
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Beterbiev vs Maderna fight on ESPN about to start
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Max makes wayyyyyyyyyyy too many references to other fights. Damn Boxopedia.
Any instance during a fight he instantly compares it to some other well known prizefight. It's becoming unbearable.
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Good combinations by Vargas in 9th, work smart....OHhhhh? Salido down but ruled slip
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Highlight of espn is hearing Teddy again ;D. Beterbiev is about to ruin this poor guy
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Salido is the worlds best journeyman right now i think, even in this 10th round with vargas pounding him he still manages to keep throwing and landing some hurtful shots. really good round for vargas though, he really should win the decision now
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
roy jones talking sense about the way the ufc sees defeats compared to boxing... good job roy
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
what a great fight ! give em a draw i say !
-
Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Final round but feels like this just started five minutes ago ;D How Salido has not lost a point is the thing of mystery. Tough gritty respectable brawl but Vargas deserves this from here!
have a feeling they'll meet again :-X

Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!

Missed it what did he say?
Heeeey Stevenson got into the ring without being flipped off again ;D

Re: HBO Orlando Salido vs Francisco Vargas. Now!
Round by round a draw is reasonable. But in totality, Vargas got the better of his opponent.

he was just rambling about how the ufc doesn't cast away guys due to a defeat and they make fights regardless of fighters records and so on... he was making the point that if salido lost he is still a great draw for fans and so on. I think roy is right a defeat isnt the end of the world and the ufc match making shows this.. that is the general gist of what he said
