Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Nice couple of cards this weekend with can't miss carnage here and HBO running one hour later. The main events should miss each other. Classic similar style clash but for all of the wars, Provodnikov feels much fresher of the two with short hook inside activity. Molina looked like a stale resigned fighter against Broner and have no idea where his head is at. Power you don't see coming never in doubt and frankly Molina in top form a 'better boxer' than Provo but this has work rate and stoppage by bust up written all over it for Provo. Hope both have a quality cutman and duct tape.
Solid co(?)main with Demetrius Andrade 22-0 fighting one-shot brick layer Willie Nelson 25-2-1. As an eliminator for a shot at a Charlo brother. Inactivity and a premature diva streak run in Andrade, not many proclaim they beat all in the division with a straight face after walking out on a made fight with current champion but this is actually step up for Andrade looking to hop off the couch and jump start division. When Nelson tries to box his height he gets in trouble and the chin crumbles but he will test the beard of BooBoo.
Showextreme kicks off two hrs earlier with heavyweights Andrey Fedosov vs gigantic Mario Heredia and John Thompson vs Willie Monroe Jr lacy. Too many words for such a long week :beerchug:

Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Provo will stop Molina. I think Molina is about done and will try to brawl then give up quickly.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Forgot about this one completely. Could be a war, or maybe Molina gets steamrolled. Haven't seen either one since what were pretty bad losses for each.
Andrade vs Nelson is a more interesting/relevant fight to me, I hope Andrade looks good, he has a great shot against either Charlo based on his jab alone imo.

Feel the same on Andrade. Though not a big fan he'd only add to some top talents. That jab has potential to be one of the better in the sport when it is on!
Showextreme starting now with zero audio??? No worries, boxing is on. Fedosov should demolish this poor fella. On the smallish side for heavy but very solid body puncher
Zero build or mention here of Lomachenko vs Martinez later tonight? That's actually very surprising
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
For his size at 280 Heredia has some very busy hands early, arguably won first maybe second. Fedosov waits until the 3rd to get busy with left hooks and drops Heredia in a heap!
Fedosov working his body beginning 4th, Heredia legs are loose and hands dropping as he bounces around.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Heredia dropped again in 4th. Same left hook. He lands it every single time. Well...dropped again 5th! His corner says he needs Vaseline on his eyes. How about a helmet!!!
big boy has some pluck though, stays in front landing some fast shots. There he goes again, wow. Down in 6th and ref finally waves it off. Fedosov will get an opportunity in division at some point.

Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Last time we saw Willie Monroe Jr Golovkin was letting him land free shots before reality set in. He and John Thompson at the bell. Think matter of time before Thompson walks into something ugly.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Tons of posing and waiting in 2nd by both. Monroe simply waiting to counter and drops Thompson with a cuffing left hook around the neck :-X Thompson not sure what to do here, just being swatted by fast counters.
way too much posturing from Monroe jr for me. Skilled, quick but lacking something
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
In 5th Thompson throws punches like a guy flying over the handlebars of his bicycle. bit of a spaz but he's trying. Monroe jr in full control
Monroe drops him hard...6 inch stabbing jab!..and they exchange end of 5th! Fight finally started
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Thompson wins 6th and might edge dismal 7th. Monroe jr does absolutely nothing that round except break in his shoes.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Giving 8th to Thompson also but you can count combined punches landed on two hands. Monroe jr cut by head butt?
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
9th Monroe jr. Couldn't end soon enough ;D Thompson needs a KO
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Monroe jr will go down as having peaked with Golovkin fight and payday. It's over
96-93 95-93 99-89 (:cwm13:) all for Monroe jr. Time for a drink.

Monroe didn't impress me during the last half. Wonder what he was thinking?

Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
War Dejan! Finally back in the ring after Linares ran scared.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Marmani in all kinds of trouble! Nice finish. Doesn't Linares have first dibs now?
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Molina will give any 140lb fighter a tough time. He's rugged, has a good chin and carries a massive right hand that can end things at a moments notice.
That right hand will keep Provo honest, at least early. Can Provo stay out of range of Molina's and work his way inside as the progresses? Molina is succeptible to the jab.
I don't see Provo winning unless it's a come from behind late stoppage.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Nelson is massive but has two left feet. Andrade has a chance to look explosive, great right hook puts him on his face!!
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Anyone else think Andrade looks like Wards little brother at times? becomes very gritty inside fighting in 3rd with both caught. Nelson always dangerous stepping up pace in 4th
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Not a huge fan but Andrade all over him and getting out, teaching a class here. Like the short straight left and footwork with purpose
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
I like this Andrade. It's choppy at times but absolutely painting by numbers with equal body and head with high volume! :o Speaking of, Nelson dropped very hard in 11th. final round but total shut out thus far
Andrade just grew up!
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Wooow. Now that's a finish! Andrade with a 12th round tko. 154 is looking up folks
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
That was class from Andrade, even though Willie Nelson makes Paul Williams look like Tommy Hearns.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Great performance. Andrade made Chad Ocho Cinco look like a sparring partner.
The Charlo brothers would have barely gotten by Nelson.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Good evening chaps. Worked my weekend round this fight. Would have been here earlier but have been stuck in a massive british exit debate/pissup in my local Indian restaurant and left to the cheers of the Bangladeshi staff. :)
Been short on live boxing on British TV recently but gor this and the Lomachenko card to choose form tonight. Am guessing this is better than watching Lomachenko ballroom dance his way round the ring for twelve rounds. God bless all of you.

Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Final 10 count for Ali just doesn't seem fair. They could hit that bell for years
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Molina is fighting "small" and letting Provo inside. He did change up in 2nd half of round two....and had success
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
The uppercut is a friend of Molina! Nice couple of connects on Provo boring in. Molina a very fleshy 160lb ??? 1-1 even up. Man Molina swinging for the fences
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Provodnikov got through three rounds without getting his face cut open. This fight may not be that great after all. \probably ends up a proper fight sooner or later though.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Molina cuffing and punching inside end of 3rd :-X He's putting it together crafty shit 2-1. Stamina and flesh holding up another matter
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Molina can jab his way to an easy win. He just has to stop dipping his head when he gets backed up. What the hell is his problem?
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
3-2 Molina after five. Molina is coming underneath and over nicely. Provo all hooks and coming forward with no mix. Molinas left stays awake he's winning this
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Molina winning this at range. This could be the end of Provodnikov as a main event fighter.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
4-2 Molina heading into second half. Molina buzzed in 6th but Provo is becoming a spectator waiting in line. This rate though not sure Molina keeps it.

He'll still be very relevant as a guy whom a rising star can fight in order to get to a big time fight. "If he can get past the tough, rugged Provodnikov...."
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
6-3 Molina. Half of Provos work is used just to get close enough...then he watches. He needs a knockout

Very true for both before and after this
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
7-4 Molina into final round. Molina a machine from start to finish. Didn't see that coming ;D
116-112 Molina here. I want to see Provo win it but we didn't.
-
Re: Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some
Both British TV guys scoring it give it to Molina by one round. Probably about right.
