Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Jazza Dickens faces Guillermo Rigondeaux for WBA super-bantamweight title
http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps...kens_getty.jpg
Britain's Jazza Dickens will fight WBA super-bantamweight title holder Guillermo Rigondeaux in Cardiff on Saturday, 16 July.
Undefeated Rigondeaux had to call off a fight with the Liverpool boxer in March because of visa issues.
The Cuban, 35, became WBA champion when Carl Frampton opted to fight for a featherweight title rather than defend his super-bantamweight belt.
"It's been my childhood dream to be the best in the world," said Dickens, 25.

Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Well thank god this one was rescheduled, would have hated to see Jazza Dickens rotting on the vine any longer.
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
It was pretty obvious neither Frampton or Quigg (if he would of won) was ever gonna fight Rigondeaux. Dickens will have as much success as Willie Casey
-
I was going to put money on Jazza to win last time, I had a strange feeling he was going to cause an upset.
I think I'll go for it again if the odds are decent

Decent being like 500/1? I watched this Dickens fellow just to humor myself wondering why Rigondeaux is even bothering, and don't get me wrong he is decent and I suck at predicting fights, but there are still levels. With both being lefties and Dickens seemingly not having any real punch, the most I could see is Rigo somehow not impressing or looking old, but he's still going to win this easily. If you could get decent odds on Rigo winning by stoppage in the first few rounds I think that seems a much more sensible way to waste money.

Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
more boxing garbage , one of the finest fighters in the world fighting a guy who isn't even strong international class.

Don't get me wrong I agree with you completely, but do you ever just get a feeling which you can't logically explain?
I know it makes no sense at all I just had this gut feeling that perhaps Rigo will get old over night or Jazza will land one lucky punch, I dunno it doesn't add up in my head either

Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Dickens was outboxing Galahad until the stoppage. Don't see him beating Rigo, but this is dickens' opportunity so you can bet he will give it a good go. He's a decent human being and deserves this chance!!! Good luck to Jazza!

Rigo has been hurt and has been out of action for a while, so why not?

Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
It's this saturday but you'd never know as it's on BoxNation promoted by the dinosaurs.
Terry Flanagan, the most least known "world" champ in history, is in a fantastic fight against Mzonke Fana, who Barrera chinned at feather/sup feather 100 years ago.
The actual headline fight is the best one - Liam Williams-Gary Corcoran for the Brit/Comm titles. Both unbeaten, the styles will mix well (although that's not a good thing for Corcoran). Williams just looks better and better to me, a vicious puncher.

Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
dickens v rigo is a bigger miss match than Brook GGG
Im looking forward to Saturday night tho
nothing better than sitting on the couch drinking beer and watching boxing, hopefully my mrs will fuck off out, that would be the cherry

Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
I actually had a bet on the first fight for Dickens to win. First bet I put on for years and it's the ultimate mug punter bet. :) Haven't bothered betting on the second fight and will be away so unlikely to put a second bet on. Watch the fucker win. :)

I had a tenner on Jazza this morning got it at 12/1
I had a gut feeling about it before so I've gone for it this time, makes no sense I know but everyone keeps telling me 2016 is the year of upsets

Its funny Frank Warren coming out and criticizing Hearn for putting Joshua in with Breazeale and then putting one of his world champs in a fight like this

Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Rigo should have made his team do everything to get the Flores fight done  going through with the Dickens fight is little more than treading water :-\
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
35-year-old. Not a defining fight to no fault of his own.

Well there was talk of the Lomachenko fight but they couldn't agree on terms  The Donaire victory is still sweet

Looks 50 (not in the ring).
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
I just had a nap. The dream I had during that nap was that Jazza Dickens wins this fight, with a thundering combo of hooks to the body. You heard it here first. Now I'm off back to bed.

Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Hope some of you are going to be watching, as I'll be checking for updates and no longer subscribe to Frankie W's channel.
-
I'm watching, hoping Jazza can do the impossible and pull off an upset
No idea who these two fighters are at the moment alex 'bad news' Hughes v some bloke who is getting beaten up
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Skeete is up now, should be an easy nights work for him, the dude he is up against is a full head shorter than him.
surely Skeete could think about moving up a division, he has always seemed big for the weight, all tall and gangly armed an that
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Well this is riveting. Is Rigos fight next by chance, anyone know?
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Apparently, "some guy who is getting beaten up" was Alastair Warren.
Always found Skeete to be a bit dull to watch, he tends to be quite defensive, and doesn't really get into anything. Yes its his style, but its probably why he'll never be headlining big bills.
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
I'm guessing it'll be next, Flanagan should be higher on the bill than Rigo and Jazza I would have thought

Skeete is a strange one, I don't particularly like him but I am pretty sure that I have never missed one of his fights, I just seem to always catch him, I didn't even know he was fighting tonight.
He's a lot easier to watch now than he used to be, I remember he would spend the whole fight just jabbing and he had no power at all to speak of, he's still not great to watch by any stretch of the imagination but he has improved

Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
well that's one bet thats gone my way, just need another 5 or 6 fights to come off to win a couple of quid
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux

Bleeding heck, the suspense is killing me. Was it Starsky and Hutch?

Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
What the hell is the point of fights like this, two in a row now.

Its the way boxing is. Pointless fight after pointless fight. So when they give us one half decent fight they can sell it to us as the best versus the best.
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
This has been pretty difficult to watch tonight
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Langford can't crack an egg. He needs to do what Skeete did in the last fight. Smash his goolies in
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Painful, I feel like a bad person watching this.
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Finally over, but really that should have been a one round job, guy was completely useless.
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
They're trying to plug Langford vs Eubank jr. :D Boxing.
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
Couple of days ago. "I'll never deal with Eubank snr again." Warren. "Langford wants it, it's a good fight to make." :D
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
World title 4 fights before the main event. Must be a stacked card :D
-
Re: Jazza Dickens v Guillermo Rigondeaux
The least known "world" champion in history aginst a man Barrera decapitated a million years ago.
