PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Pretty sparse weekend and this looks like the extent of live action on the tube. Not a bad card really and plus to again have action on 'free' prime time tv. Main event features bantamweight title rematch between Juan Carlos Payano 17-0 and Rau'shee Warren 13-1 who fought a close one last Aug. Assuming the co feature is Andrzej Fonfara in a keep busy facing 21-1 Joe Smith jr. Smith is going from the backyard pool to the Pacific ocean here with opponent level and feels like a bust up in the waiting but we'll see if he can swim.
Also Hugo Centeno Jr 24-0 vs Maciej Sulecki 22-0 Spr. middles. Talented Erickson Lubin 14-0 looks to impress vs Daniel Sandavol 38-3. Wouldn't be shocked to see him get off the canvas to do it. Set to kick off at 7:30 pm...roughly three hrs here.

Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Warren-Payano starting it off. Warren pretty sharp again and tattooing with the short jab off Payano lead. 2 southpaws in a chess match early. Warren 3-0 and more committed and sturdy than I remember. Payano steps up pressure late 3rd

Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
These trunks. Both fans of tigers apparently ;D Early attack stands Payano still in 4th. Payano back with wide hooks and couple body shots. Both shake their heads no. 4-0 Warren. Warren moving behind Payano right jab and catching him in return with regularity.
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Alright Payano may have swayed the 5th. Solid pressure and again Warren shacking his head after catching a couple choppy hooks, ref warns Warren for holding. 4-1 Warren

Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Warren winning this but Payano cant seem to miss that lead right sorta hook even with Warren behind that shoulder.
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Maybe I'm only one bottle in but like the right of Payano in 6th. Not hurting but touching much more. Warren more mobile and loading up counters. Heating up a bit. 4-2 Warren

Good call ;D Definitely stuffed it in that round. Activity on the rise for Payano.
gotta go sudden 4-3 Warren after 7th
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Honestly 8th not even close from here. Payano boring in with both hands and the feet of Warren are now doing much more work than his hands! Did next to nothing there. Can totally see how the scores were all Helter Skelter in the 1st fight. 4-4 even
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
The bright orange shorted fellow doesnt seem to be throwing too much back, sure he is rolling out of the way but he doesn't seem to be landing much of anything, going to be hard to win like that :S

Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Did Warren throw a punch in round 8?

Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Right eye of Payano closing up? Better Warren return in 9th but getting caught with some in last minute. Close one, 5-4 Warren.
Thurman and his WWE like interviews ffs ;D
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
I got it 5/4 Payano. Warren seems out of fuel.

Tough coin flip round. I refuse to score rounds even...so 5-5 after ten :-X These cards are going to be all over just like the first
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
very convincing 11th for Warren. Rocked him good not much follow up though, 6-5 Warren. Pretty gritty scrap

Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
you'd think by this point in the sport they could solve the slippery logo BS???
Good final round Warren. Just don't like his gaps and not hard to miss. Something tells me they could go for 3rd fight. Have 115-113 Warren
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
are they going to show lubin ? or has that already happened ?
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
I bet its a draw.Warren deserves the split though.
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
one round in it in a majority decision, i guess this could go for a 3rd fight.
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
who is the fat guy hugging warren ?

Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
114-114 even, 115-113 twice for Warren as new champ! Well earned
Warren doing his Bruce seldon impersonation in celebration here?
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II

-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
IBO strap. Belt looks like something you get out of a gumball machine.

Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Sandoval is one fleshy fat dude here. Lubin loses focus when the cameras go off but has the tools

He had gauges in there? What fighter does that, not let em close up.
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
First saw lubin in his 2nd pro fight when he was fighting on the minnesota undercard, he caught my eye then and I have looked out for his results since then, I haven't seen all of his fights since then apart from when he shows up on these sort of cards on normal tv.... I think he is improving well, he is only 20 i think and is looking better every time i see him... good work lubin.
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Sandoval has the hand speed of a glacier. No way he is 155 here. Nope. All Lubin early and his to take down the middle
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
oh wow... not sure if that needed to be stopped but i whatever i guess... lubin did seem to be in control and mixing it up well

An ear ring sure I used to wear one but a pie plate........
Don't these dudes know that it does not grow back?
That was waved off a little quick. Lol at those lobe close-ups
-
Re: PBC on NBC Tonight: Fonfara vs Smith jr and Payano vs Warren II
Good finish by Lubin on a guy who didn't want to be in there. Lubin at 154 with some work and time just deepens that division. Time to step it up and WTF was I talking about coming off the canvas :-X;D
