Thats why the Eubanks never got the contract to sign.
Brook is getting wiped out like Khan did.

Brook is a big big welterweight, solid technician and unorthodox too. Lots of strength and power.
Even though he is moving up in weight, which was inevitable IMO, I suspect Brook might be the best guy GGG will have ever fought. Vice versa too.
Not sure why Golovkin has taken this fight, he is the one with everything to lose and nothing to gain!
This could be a stroke of genius for Eubank jr. Golovkin comes here on a huge bill, smashes Brook and becomes more of a name to casuals in the UK. Eubank fights Jacobs and gains more experience then Eubank gets the fight that Hearn didnt want them to have.

Crazy choice of opponent considering the utter shit Brook has been fighting since very very narrowly beating Porter and before that nearly getting banged out against Carson Jones.
I like Brook but other than those 2 names WTF has he done and who has he beat, he took the very easy IBF route to a title and has been treading water/going backwards even ever since.
Brook want's to hope his Power doubles by moving up a weight if he's gonna have any chance at all of not ending up flat on his back here, He's got some balls jumping up a weight and straight into a unification fight with the worlds best in Golovkin.
This is the equivalent of taking your arm bands off then making your next swim the English channel.

I can see how this has been made. Golovkin was getting nowhere with eubank and Vargas wasn't signing for brook either so this has come about.
The cynical side of me thinks we should be taking bets not on the outcome but what Kells injury excuse will be when he pulls out. Hope I'm wrong but for 10 years Weve been listening to his excuses but let's hope this time he's serious
I would have thought the Khan Canelo fight which was another surprise announcement would have warned him what happens when a big guys lands on a smaller guy. Odd career move too as I'm not sure where it leaves him once he's been badly knocked out. .......very interesting developments.....
That was Hearn stalling it. All that shit about the Eubanks not wanting it they have been trying to get hold of Hearn and Matchroom but were never sent the contract to sign. What in the hell.. This makes Khan-Canelo seem like a fight that was logical and hard to call beforehand.
Hearn didnt look comfortable in the post fight press conference when Eubank sr was asking for the fight and now we know why.
Hearn didnt want Eubank getting anywhere near Golovkin. Hes stalled them big time. They resorted to calling him out on twitter so they can get the cntract, like an employer desperately trying to get hold of an employee whos gone awol.

I usually understand GGG's opponents but this one is crazy. Brook is a welter. It doesn't matter that he is a big welter. He is still a welter. Maybe he had no other choice and Brook is the only named fighter he could get on short notice? It will make GGG a bigger name to British fans but still, I don't get the fight.
People need to freaking step up and fight GGG! I can't stand a mismatch like this just because the underdog wants to get paid and its a no lose situation for them. Well, at least in America it's not on PPV it looks like. Sorry British fans. You have to pay for this farce.
This has taken some of the edge of GGG for me.
The difference in height is an inch and half to GGG and the reach difference is an inch to GGG, which is not really huge, but if brook is hoping to pack on 14 lbs of muscle without losing any speed or maneuverability he's mistaken. Conditioning alone is gonna be a steep incline to climb. This isn't roy jones going up to fight ruiz. This isn't even a spinks going up to fight tyson.
I get it. fights have to be made but after what he said about canelo vs khan not being good for boxing fans, i'm a kinda disappointed.

You will see, Eubank will have the last laugh. Brook will get flattened and Hearn will go running back to offer the Golovkin fight to Eubank only it will be much bigger because Golovkin would have a hilight reel KO on English soil against and english fighter to promote the fight more.

Personally I think Brook should be bigger price than Eubank was. If Eubank and Brook were to fight at middlewight Id have Eubank as fav. If Brook puts up a good performance and loses a Eubank Brook fight would be very entertaining.

Minimal risk maximum exposure for Golovkin and both big pay in a fight convenient for network. Other than that its crap. Stacked at 147 so he jumps for name. Meanwhile Golovkin goes on about "we make'a big big drama show" and beats up a welterweight with a few ok challenges in division and always the possibility of stepping up to 168. In a very odd way and cannot believe I'm saying this..I almost have less respect for this than the charade Canelo pulled with Khan. At least Canelo knows his role and stayed in his lane. I like Brook as a fighter but Golovkin is going to hammer ol Brook like a nail and ultimately prove very little. Cash grab.
The way I see it Hearn had this lined up in his back pocket, he knew Senior was going to mess him about so in one master stroke he puts the Eubanks under manners and gets Kell a massive payday, Eubanks fights the winner in an even bigger event more money for Hearn he is loving it.
I could not see this coming Brook vGGG strange one this Kell may give him one or two problems but GGG will win.
I think this has been in the works for awhile. I actually thought about this fight after Khan announced fighting Canelo, knowing his rivalry with Brook. Brook maybe wanting to one up Khan's step up. But it was a more of 'wouldn't it be funny if' as opposed to actually thinking it would happen. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just as surprised at this one as when I heard the Khan-Canelo announcement.
Funny how both GGG and K complained about opponents stalling with their scheduled opponents denying it and then this is announced. Hearn knows all. (I almost posted G and KKK and I'm guessing that would have me in a lot of poop.)
