Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
-
Just came here to post that very story, wonder what team Fury are playing at, if true that is.
Ross have you got any ideas, your always pretty clued up with the goings on at team fury
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
Yeah I wonder what ross thinks? It wont be something like Wlad is ducking him by any chance.
This whole rematch is a shower of shit. They couldn't sell tickets at the MEN, Fury pulls out with a dodgy ankle then days later is seen partying, doping allegations and now going to court over the contract.
Must be the worst momentum for a heavyweight champ ever. Will he even fight this year?

Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
I posted this earlier with my thoughts in the what happened to Wlad thread.
Why would Tyson try and alter the contract? The fight was signed and sealed, if anyone would try and worm out of the fight its Wlad. Hes already had Boente try and get UKAD to suspend him to get out of the fight and now this rubbish. You can bet your bottom dollar that Hearn and Boente have been nogotiating for Wlad to take the easier route back to a tile against Joshua.

Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
Been out of the loop on this one but not really sure what's going on.
The rematch - if goes ahead - is still end October in Manc right ?
It's shit like this happening that puts me out of the loop eg I can't be arsed keeping track of it all any more.
Does this sort of stuff happen in UFC ??

The UFC is only one promotional company. Like Eddie Hearns Matchroom fighting each other.
Any of the UFC fighters would only be a champion of the UFC like having a Matchroom champion.

Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
Presumably most of a boxers contract is fulfilled on the night right? What venue, what size ring, what rules, what gloves etc etc.
Im confused as to what part of the contract Fury could have possibly violated at this point in time?
Makes no sense.

Ah I was actually looking for the Fury v Klit thread, that'll be why I missed it

Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
Two sticking points:
1. Fury won't do VADA testing
2. Fury wants to change the financial terms of the contract

Being tested doesn't mean he passed the tests ross in fact he apparently did NOT pass the test which is why he's in the situation he finds himself.
-
Fury has been an embarrassment as champion in every imaginable way.
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
They may as well televise the court proceedings and air them instead of the rematch, couldn't be any worse.
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
I don't think the testing is the main sticking point. The way I see it, if you're clean, why do you give a fuck about what type of test you take? The only thing I can think of is "showing who the boss is! "
What probably happened was that Fury was so concerned with winning the first fight that he didn't really take notice of the financial points of the rematch if he did win.
Now he's probably thinking,
a. I'm the fucking champ now, I should be taking a bigger slice of the cake . And
b. Joshua is earning shit loads of dough, yet I'm the main man, "the man that beat the man!" I should be earning that!
If this is what has happened, then you can understand his frustration, but a contract is a contract, and Fury is risking missing out on the gravy train if he doesn't fight and stay relevant.

He did pass the test though. It wasnt a negative result!

Never knew that. Never paid it any interest. Ta

Yes hes a cheat...
Its Klitschko thats refused tests in the past, didnt he refuse against Pulev?;D
Had Tyson tested positive in February last year do you think he would have got anywhere near Klitschko?;D No! You know he wouldnt.
Its a tenuous grasp at straws by Klitschkos team to get out of losing again.
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
I have to admit I kind of get the feeling that neither of them want the fight
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
Wlad should just retire he is totally a shot fighter as we saw in his last fight.
No desire - no punch output - poor movement , been a good champ but he is finished.

1. Good, you admit it
2. Pulev wanted EXTRA testing, Wlad was already being tested. Sauerland, Pulev's promoter is the reason there was an issue at all, they never want their fighters to fight the Klitschko's which is why Valuev never fought either brother.
3. It depends on who was made aware of the test results and when. Tony Thompson got popped for PEDs in his fight vs David Price, UKAD let it slide just like they've done with Tyson Fury. Erkan Teper also got popped for PEDs against Price, that result is still up as a KO loss on Price's record as well soooo I know you're limited mentally but don't act like this sort of shady crap doesn't happen all the fucking time.
4. You act as if the first fight was on the up and up, it wasn't because Tyson Fury used anabolic steroids and was caught doing so.
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
I don't think Wlad really believes he has anything left , he is just going through the motions.
Its sad when a once dominant champ tries to ignore father time, but most fighters try to defy time but 40 is old by anyone's standards .

And if he was to come back, win via early KO what would you say then?
Not saying that will be the case, just stating a hypothetical and possible conclusion to a rematch vs Fury.
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
Lyle I just see Wlad as an old guy who has kept in good shape , he just doesn't have the fundamentals anymore . That is only because of his age ,anyone over 40 will tell you anything you do in life gets more difficult.
Retire and enjoy your millions would be my advice.
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
I would not trust Wlad as far as I could lob the cunt, not after that 'bouncy castle' ring bullshit.
Why is Wlad going to "Go ta caught" anyway? It's a civil matter, Tyson does not have to show up.
Wait for the next video where "Tyson did not came ta caught"
I'm really bored of this fucking robot.

I cant be the only person cringing reading that last line:rolleyes:
Tyson didnt test positive and he beat Wlad by using skills no one else in the division can get anywhere near.
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
I was SO HAPPY to see Wlad get beat.
Too bad it turns out the guy who did it has turned out to be such a knob.
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko is taking Tyson Fury to court over violation of contract
I blame Wlad and his rematch contracts. He should retire and allow Fury to have made some defences by now instead of holding up the division.

Pretty much what I'm saying Master.
If Wlad walks away it clears the path for fury to fight new IBF champion David Price in a rematch.

If Wlad retired and therefore did not invoke the rematch clause the titles would not have split and cheap holders would not have been champions.

with the exception of Wlad, who has Fury beaten that's better than Dillian Whyte, Charles Martin and Brezeale ?
While you're at it , tell me who Wilder has beaten that's better?
Still a cheap holder is he?
-
Joshua got fast tracked to the title and was damn lucky at the way the opportunity opened up for him but it is pretty obvious that he belongs with the elite of the division purely because the 'decent' opponents get KTFO in the first few rounds.

And who had Charles Martin and Breazeale beaten?
Breazeale was lucky he was awarded a decision against Fred Kassi who Hughie Fury was toying with till he got cut. Martin was lucky ato be in the right place st the right time when Glazkovs knee went because he didnt do much there either.
Dillian Whyte hasnt done anything above British level yet, in fact he got knocked out in his first try. You are saying they are all good just on association because Joshua must be good because Sky and Hearn tell you so.

The main thing those fighters haven't done is.....test positive for a performance enhancing drug which I guess is what we need to expect from the heavyweight champion these days.

Tell me which one has?;D
The only heavy who has tested positive for anything is Ortiz.Oh and Vitali years ago;)

Tyson Fury, Alexander Povetkin, Erkan Teper, Tony Thompson
