Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
This kicks off in one hour. Haven't seen much mention at all. Great to see big name contender back on Sunday afternoon tv and this will be for the #1 spot to Brook, though not clear if he'll vacate or not. 20-0 Spence jr has made strides but can stand a bit high and stationary on attack. The way he rolls in punches with different gears makes a believer out of me. Last we saw of Bundu 33-1-2 he was chasing Thurman around in a track meet but the clear loser. They have him a 100-1 underdog here. Seems a little wide for a guy ranked in top 5???
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
I didn't watch the conclusion of the Olympic telecast, I never would have known this fight was being aired...
Cool
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
Bundu not intimidated in the least but a half dozen solid shots to right side of the body has him changing approach to end 1st. Smart sharp round for Spence.

Glad ya found it. Thought they would delay it once they started playing the anthems ;D
Herky jerky Bundu making Spence think and feel some pressure. Uppercut of Spence beginning to knock on the door in 2nd
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
Error able to get inside with ease and land uppercuts and short hooks to the body. 41 year old Bundy unable to counter fast enough.
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
Those body shots are sapping him! Spence fighting well off the jab and steady pressure..wth was that?
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
:o Man! Bundu looked like a puppet who had the strings cut. Brutal ko, bit odd
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
He beats Thurman. Have no doubt about it. Keith cannot take those body shots
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
Humble and to the point also. No need for gimmicks or talking like a fecking pro wrestler promo :-X
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
Thurman got hit with a few shots by Bundu, he backs off and dances to a decision.
Spence gets hit with a few shots by Bundu, he keeps going at him.

It's not like Brook is scared, I mean he is fighting GGG after all. But Hearn started talking about getting out of Spences way a while back. Without saying it of course. They knew when Spence would become mandatory and started the 2 more at 147 talk back then. I'd love to see a Brook/Spence fight but not soon after gaining all that muscle. If Brook wants to fight Spence he should give up the belt and get comfortable at 147 again then fight him. Going in weak from losing muscle mass would be a very bad idea.
Brook is a smart man for jumping for the money instead of cleaning his house against that. Spence shouldn't wait on him or the time it will take to recover after Golovkin and prove he can recommit to 147.

If Brook gives up the belt a Spence/Ponomarov fight would be fun while it lasted for the belt.
Yeh he's a busy boxer but thinking he may very well come up with 'hurt hands' again and not fight him. Hope not. Don't know who Horn is but he turned down a shot at lower ranked guys. Peterson shares management in Haymon so he may be thrown in? Eh.
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
The world title is Spence's, Brook knows it.

Anthony Joshua is the same way I've noticed. When you know you're the best, there's no need to brag.
Joshua's video montage before the Breazeale fight was pretty cringe worthy if you ask me, 'he's in my house, the lions den' oh shut the fuck up Joshua.
I often hear people saying how humble AJ is and I don't see it, yeah he doesn't really smack talk or anything but I see an underlying arrogance and cockiness in his interviews, I really don't think he is as nice a bloke as people make out.
Not that that is a bad thing, you need that horrible streak in this business.
Anyhows, Spence really impressed there, I like how he throws that left, body, chest and head, fair play to Bundu though first few rounds he came out swinging.
Kell will relinquish his title, people are saying that he isn't frightened of Spence and the proof is in him fighting GGG but its two completely different situations, he is a massive underdog against GGG, I don't think he is so much frightened of Spence but I think he would rather give the belt up rather than risk losing it.
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs Leonard Bundu on NBC!
You lot seem a little gassed over a guy that stopped an ancient old powderpuff puncher. Bundu is decent but not world level. And that's two non-punchers in a row Spence has fought. I'd like to see him beat someone world-class before anointing him the second coming.
Fights with Thurman, Porter and Garcia should be easy to make considering they're all with Al.

That's exactly what the trolls on boxingnews24 say, like word for word. Are you a boxingnews24 poster?
Porter is the only one of those 3 I think would even entertain the idea of fighting Spence right now. I mean Thurman said he wanted 10 million FFS and Garcia, we all know how Garcia has been handled the last few years.
Eh? What? I'm a troll because I want to see Spence beat a top class fighter before crowning him as Floyd Jones Jr? Seems a pretty logical opinion to have.
