Spike TV Fight Night. Guerrero Angulo and Gausha.

With heavy hearts we carry on. Tonight it looks like Haymon putting his 'opponent' roster in action in a tripleheader. Main event is Robert Guerrero 33-4-1 aiming to get on any track he can find vs mystery man from Argentina David Emanuel Peralta 25-2-1.

War horse Alfredo Angulo comes back after a year away fighting 38-8 Freddy Hernandez. Was hoping Angulo was hanging them up as he's looked 35 going on 45 in the ring but they rarely go quietly. Terrell Gausha 18-0 fights Steven Martinez 16-2 in a middleweight bout also. Card kicks off in two hours.

Not sure what they are doing with Gausha career wise. Seems warmed over, a backseat fighter less than stellar last couple. Martinez decent look in 1st but slow hands.

Angulo coming in full fledge spr middle :-X

Some nice compact counters by Gausha in 2nd. Martinez head is in front of his feet half the time.

Gausha with some effective body work in 3rd. Martinez felt those.

Gausha better counters and stuffs a few hard jabs sliding off on Martinez. Martinez very physical and steps it up 4th. Pick your poison style wise.

Nice inside exchanges to start 6th. Martinez disregards his punches and some serious digs to body of Gausha! He's def forcing the fight here. Martinez waves him in yet again

Martinez really let that 7th slip away. At second half Gausha put on solid display of stick and move with very clean counters.

Martinez seems to have hit his wall in 8th. Gausha boxing his ears.

Jack Reiss and not a single warning, conversation or unnecessary break??? Shocked.

Spoke to soon. Ref warns Gausha for stepping away and letting Martinez fall into ropes??? Decent scrap. Have it closer than it probably is at 96-94 Gausha.

scores 95-95..97-93 twice for Gausha win.

Man. Peralta looks like he has seen some shat in life :-X. No relation to Baldomir eh?

Angulos body looks all off. Hernandez noticeably division or two smaller.This might be a few frantic rounds.

Very nice sharp shots by Hernandez to end round. Either Angulos face falls apart or Hernadez gas runs out. He can't keep this movement up

Angulo still using his hair for charity cause? Good on him.

All Hernandez. Angulo warming but really left in bad lurches. Hernandez is wishing this was a 6 round fight. Angulo looks all the age wear and tear in spots. Left eye growing a goose egg

Hernandez cut and Angulo landing some of that free swinging lumber now. Looked like Hernandez hurt by beltline shot to the gut.

Angulo trying to kick in the door in 6th. Rocked him and that Hernandez cut is ugly. Flat feet now

Somehow Hernandez was hitting Angulo like a slow high pitch in 9th. 6-3 Hernandez

Good ebb and flow scrap. Hernandez won this , total battlers both of them but cleaner sharper combos was Hernandez. His stamina held and found a second burst.

Am fan of Angulo but in a way a win would be a very bad thing. He'll get a payday but he is being hit by guys with the eyes closed now.

98-92...97-93 twice for Hernandez win! Sad to see a hard rock like Angulo like that but Hernandez earned it.

Peralta is a rangy one eh. Looks out of level trying to acknowledge Guerrero end of 1st

Maybe it's nothing but Peralta stopped Guerrero in his tracks twice so far off lead right. Has Ghost tamed in 3rd with choppy awkward shots. Headbutt in a Guerrero fight???

Guerrero bullish 4th. Clean hooks little effect. Peralta with long accurate counters. Peralta stalking him a bit end of 5th!

Peralta 11th and honestly didn't see this coming. Great thing about unknowns coming in as 'TBA' and upsetting the cart. Last round but Guerrero needs a brick to win! Peralta packed a lunch

Sad to see Angulo look sooooo slow these days. I think Margarito would stop him at this point.

Guerrero seems to have gotten where he can win the first 6 rounds or most of them, then he can't keep up the pace.

We may get the fight this weekend.

I really hope Angulo gets out and is not reanimated and shoved into some meat grinder. Hernandez is a decent fighter but he was hitting Angulo with huge frequency and some literal throw away shots. You worry more about a guy who sponges punches and loses lopsided more than the ones who go down and out.

Peralta was really a good story and maximized everything! Hated to hear Guerrero come off a bitter pill afterwards, wasn't close and his window has clearly closed to a crack.
