Danny Garcia vs Molina Jr ?
Anyone have more info on this? Seems Garcia is just trying to pass the time and is telling Berto no thanks. Molina is off a quality win over Provodnikov but FFS with a stacked welter division you would hope a Danny Garcia would aim higher. Especially since he's alright anointed himself the second coming but has done fook all since Matthysse win.
Who really needs who more, Khan or Garcia???
Re: Danny Garcia vs Molina Jr ?
I think they both need each other at this rate, and doesn't Khan still have the mandatory slot? My take is neither of them are likely to beat anyone who would bring them near the same money as each other, I wouldn't call either a top 5 WW honestly.
Garcia vs Shawn Porter would be a pretty good fight and one I'd give Danny a reasonable chance in, I think despite being quite a bit bigger, Porter suits him a lot stylistically as he wades in so much.
Re: Danny Garcia vs Molina Jr ?
It's just the way things are these days, boxers are happy building a career rather than a legacy.
Re: Danny Garcia vs Molina Jr ?
Molina Jr is going to be winner
Re: Danny Garcia vs Molina Jr ?
Garcia is waiting for Floyd to return and is just doing nothing to risk that big money fight and is treading water.
Khan is his mandatory and I bet he does not want to take that.
I feel Thurman, Porter, Brook, Spence all beat Danny.

Where do you get this BS from?
Khan is his mandatory and talked to Brook and eventually decided on his ass whooping win-win fight with Canelo all before Garcia. "Garcia had said lets do it " Khan has since talked about :
1. Conor Macgregor
2. Singh (the Indian SMW)
3. Going to the Olympics for Pakistan
4. Floyd (as per)
5. Now Golovkin
I've probably missed a few , but all of those BEFORE he's even mentioned Garcia. And the Garcia fight is the easiest to make. So from all of that, where do you get that GARCIA IS AVOIDING KHAN?:rolleyes:
Word of advice. Ignore every word that comes out of Khan's mouth because he is full of shit.

That is what you disagree about!
So you do agree that Floyd will come back.
Re: Danny Garcia vs Molina Jr ?
If fighters continue to sandbag on marquis fights, maybe the only solution will be to structure the contract so that fighters get a flat fee for each fight or the contenders will be structured in tiers by rank, each tier earning different pay grades. Exceptions granted on the basis for PFP lister side challenges.
So for example, a 4 fight deal consists of 2 fights against a c tier fighters, 1 b tier, 1 a tier fighter. In any order you like. You can start with the tomato cans then warm your way up to a mega showdown with the a lister or a C tier tune up, B fighter, C tune up and then A tier fighter.
So someone in the Ishe Smith tier nets you a flat rate that is less than someone who is say in the charlo tier. The only problem is fighters will be fighting to scrape the bottom of the barrel of each tier to take the easiest challenge for the same money, but narrowing the classes within weight classes may curb the extreme mismatches.
I also think haymon encourages this type of sandbagging because by sure volume of stable, it allows him to choke off other promoters and entities which will eventually go under when their fighters have noone to fight. once said entities have fallen by the way side, he picks up their orphaned fighters and discards guys like garcia that become irrelevant.
Re: Danny Garcia vs Molina Jr ?
Let's see, Danny beat Lucas and Lucas KO'ed Molina so, naturally Danny Garcia wants Lucas' leftovers.... Lame!
Re: Danny Garcia vs Molina Jr ?
Khan wants to avenge this loss, so he will want to fight Garcia. That is his main motivation to take the fight.
Re: Danny Garcia vs Molina Jr ?
At this point I think Garcia is just another fight for Khan. I think the bravado aspect is long gone because Garcia hasn't really done anything since. (one of his greatest achievements in Matthyse tapered off because matthysse has tapered off). Khan has gone on to decision some ok fighters but by the time he got to them, none of them were undefeated (collazo was considered a has been and Algieri was considered by many to be a never was), then he showed balls by being Ko'd by Cañelo... He knows he cant go much longer so he's looking for publicity big money fights (like cotto is). Safer is better but willing to trade faculties for dollars if the moneys right. (cottos not doing that) But Garcia doesn't bring that money so its not worth it in case garcia has the magic bullet (can produce that counter left hook that turned khan to jelly, whenever he likes)
Garcia /Molina is a smoke and mirrors thing Haymons hoping to get a barn burner out of and make good TV, rep PBC, keep the money in house and catapult someone (theoretically Garcia) to the world stage and throw his name into the mix of possible contenders for welter heir apparent. Lets face it, garcia hasn't faired well off home soil (or on if you count Puerto Rico)

There is absolutely no evidence of this. He has no history of avenging losses. He chases paydays. If Garcia is the easiest fight he can get for the most money he will fight him then and only then. He didn't fight Canelo for glory, he fights for $$$
Beating Garcia gives him a title, money and first in line to Floyd and his comeback.

Never knew that Lucas already beat Molina..
Double lame.
Garcia is terrible for doing this.
Do yourself a favor and see that fight. It was a candidate for fight of the year. Lots of action between 2 heavy hitters.
Re: Danny Garcia vs Molina Jr ?
Garcia just bores me. Since beating Lucas in 2013, 2 fights in 2014 against Herrera and Salka FFS, arguably lose to Herrera, 2015 2 fights agaisnt Peterson who he struggled with and an old Paulie. Now in 2016 hes fought once against a shot Guerrero/ Who pays to see these fights and how can promoters pay him so much for thses fights. I was actually at the Peterson fight as it was an undercard to Lee-Quillin. He couldnt have made that much from the fight. Wasting away his years when plenty of great fights available

I'm not fond of the choice only because Garcia who is a belt holder comes off as a guys whos fighting his way to the top. Molina Jr. had a decent win against provo, but i attribute that to the fact that provo fought his usual blood and guts slugger performance (disappointing 1st performance under a new trainer) and molina kinda of smartened up after trying to do the same thing to Matthyse only to have lucas switch up and adjust his boxer puncher style to fight smarter and Ko molina. So molina fought smarter against provo because he knew he couldn't outslug him... At the same time molina is still a guy that got most of his wins being bigger at the way and trying to walk guys down and bomb them out. Its not really a challenge for a guy like garcia who hasn't stretched himself beyond his comfort zone since matthyse. Garcia has been successfully pressed by hard nose fighters fighters like guerrero, who fought smart and then lost because of age or wear and tear. Molina is now a gloried haymon house fighter that doesn't have the guile to capitalize on Garcias mistakes and will make garcia look like a surgeon.
