Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
This one could be another FOTY candidate.... Both guys always come to fight and keep themselves fit and ready... Who you guys like?

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Yeah I'm looking forward to it, should be a good scrap, I'm backing Crolla for it.

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Both guys are grinders and I think this one goes the distance and really is a "pick'em" fight....
-
Crolla is much improved a few years back I never rated the guy.
I was thinking he was about domestic level goes to show you can get it wrong.!
He's a nice guy and he can fight a bit I hope he wins should be a good fight.

I think Crolla is on fire at the moment and can pull this big one off.
This is going to be a barn burner of a fight.

Liners the older man slightly on the slide and million dollar Crolla who five fights ago was not good enough to carry his jock strap funny how things turn around, taking Crolla to have more juice left in the tank to roll over Linares late in a violent thriller.

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Wanted to go to this fight so badly. Working commitments have got in the way which is a shame, I won't even be able to watch it on tele. Think it's going to be a great fight though. Similar to the Mitchell one but Crolla will come out on top with a late stoppage. It will be a very competitive fight though. Crolla will need another special performance to win because Linares is quality

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
lets see the one who train hard will get it
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Im going with Linares by decision here.

I didn't realise this bill was this weekend. Some interesting fights and amazingly not PPV for a change!
Really tough test , but I hope Crolla does it. One of the most genuine blokes in Boxing.

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Crolla is the favourite... not sure about that. As was mentioned above it would've been laughable that he would even be in the same ring a few years ago. Even though Linares has everything against him he has the class and the power.

Crolla expects "brawl and slugfest".... Weigh-in video included... http://www.skysports.com/watch/video...nares-weigh-in

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Having been on holiday in Spain for both the GGG fight and the Saul Alvarez fight, at least there is some boxing to enjoy on my first weekend back. I'd like Crolla to win, but if I'm honest I actually think Linares will be too good for him. Also, on the undercard, my all time favourite fighter with the first name Wilbeforce fights for the commonwealth title, no better boxers called Wilbeforce than the wonderful Wilbeforce Shihepo.

Linares UD is 16/1 with Betfred
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Feels nice to be able to watch the boxing and not have to pay £18 for the privilege.
Connor Benn on the undercard again, I'm thinking third round stoppage for him, he may leave it a little longer than he needs to tonight I reckon.
Crolla to win on point SD

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
good little stare down from Benn and the other dude there, you would think they actually have beef with each other and that Benn wasn't just going in with another punch bag
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Does Benn look bigger than he did in his debut?
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
well the Saddos seem really geared up for tonights boxing don't they.
Benn is going into the 4th rd now, gotta admit I haven't realy watched a second of it so can't comment on how he is looking, seems pretty unremarkable though.

'people assume that Benn is pampered and has a massive entorage but he actually lives alone and cooks his own food and does his own laundry'
why the fook did they feel the need to tell us that he washes his own clothes? it's not exactly a massive acheivment is it

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Well, Hosea Burton did well enough, while Conor Benn looked decent enough in his bout too. Hard to judge when we're looking at them in their early fights. Now its Wilbeforce time!
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Ben is getting better and better but he is not a huge hitter like his dad. He needs to work on his boxing skills and perfect them if he will achieve anything in the game.

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Malignaggi is ace. Out of all commentators and analysts. He says what i see. Speaks a bit too fast though.
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
I thought Ryder had it in the bag. i am drunk though.
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
I thought Ryder nicked that, but tbf he's only got himself to blame, because I think he was looking to do just enough to nick it. He looked lacklustre in there and demotivated.
It's a shame, I feel Ryder has gone so far downhill. At one time, I rated as second only to BJS in Britain, and yes above the Jr. Clown. But that seems a long way away now.

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Watching events, but on a little delay because I spent 15 minutes bopping around to new music while looking at myself in the mirror. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, in my view.
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Place is buzzing over this one huh:p Main event coming up by the looks, didn't realize Crolla was the guy who stopped a robber and had his head smashed in, good story. Having only seen a bit of him I'm kind of expecting Linares to blast him out, but hopefully this is good.
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
I have always liked Linares but have to support Crolla. Anthony is on the best run of his life and is striking whilst the iron is hot.

Ha, I did exactly the same thing earlier on today...only I wasn't bopping around to music, I was kind of looking at myself in the mirror and sobbing silently

Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
That was tough to score but give it to Crolla for attacking better.
-
Crolla just feelong him out in the first round, didnt really throw anything meaningful
-
Linares is liking the body shots here, first two rounds have gone to him
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
I would give Crolla the 2nd but Linares has some sharp punches.
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Jorge landed the better punches 2-1
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Bullshit. The referee is in the pocket of Crolla. This is a disgrace.
-
The fuck, that didn't look low to me.
love Paulies commentary
-
Linares scared to go to the body, ref has killed the fight
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
Those were good body shots.
-
Re: Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares, 12 rounds, for Crolla's WBA lightweight title
3-2 Linares, he hurt Crolla in the 5th.
