Joshua v Klitschko is a done deal
I think this is gonna happen - AJ don't like hanging around and will definitely want this more than any fight out there at present, makes perfect sense with Wlad slowing down and proving to be very beatable

Even though I'd have preferred to see Tyson defend his titles against Klit I think this will be a better fight to watch.

Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
Kind of a similar situation to when Wlad wanted to fight Lennox Lewis only now the part of Wlad will be played by Anthony Joshua and the part of Lennox Lewis will be played by Wlad. Funny how things work out.

Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
Too many obstacles for this to realistically happen this year.
The fighters are with different TV companies.
The sanctioning bodies would have to dismiss current top contenders.
Does Joshuas team really want it? Is Hearn just using Klitschkos name for publicity knowing all the obstacles will prevent it happening?
Will Klitschko want to go in as a challenger or will he want to face Browne for the WBA first which is what his team is actually talking to Brownes about right now.
It does make me laugh that Klitschko v Joshua is seen as a big deal and exciting whereas no one seemed interested in Fury v Klitschko 2. Apparently Klitschko is old and washed up yet this is now an exciting match up with an old and washed up fighter? Those same people would tell you that Joshua would beat Fury but the difference in anticipation is due to the fact they know full well it will be another whitewash against Fury because he's just too good whereas Klitschko had more than a chance against Joshua.

Excuse me son we're talking about boxing and boxers and not Gypsies and their drug habits

Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
I would respect AJ if he takes the fight because it is the biggest challenge there for him from an active fight.

Ross, for fucks sake give it a rest.
1. Nobody WAS interested in Fury Klit, undoubtedly that added to his stress levels, aggro from promoters to sell the fight, leading to:
2. Using Twatter to try and hype the fight, which he should have had someone do for him, all he succeeded in doing was making a twat of himself.
3. Even more bad headlines because of his pig ignorant and abusive twats, more pressure.
4. Drug allegations re steroids, and his own stupid statements that he was on Coke (not diet)
5. Allowing a year to go by without knuckleing down and getting this rematch, arguably his highest ever payday, on.
Given all the above I think this shit should have been handled for Tyson by his 'team', and he has been left to make a complete cnut of himself by a piss poor management team, I hope they are happy with their little pensions, because that's all they're getting.
I think he should disappear for a year and come back properly represented, if he can find nobody honest enough to represent him he should retire and take life easy with no aggro.

Ahem....LEGIT....ie no steroids no drugs comprende?

Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
Thanks to Fury these two are really the only two in the drivers seat for division and the timing would be way off. I am really beginning to doubt the longevity of Wilder based on injuries alone. Wlad needs to fight yesterday and AJ still has some growing to do. Both can do numbers vs lesser. If it's realistically offered to AJ..fat chance..sure he can take it at early stage of career and time left but don't see it.

Agreed, too early for Joshua. I would be astounded if they actually want this.
Better Style Matchup on this one if it were too happen. I'd expect Wladimir experience to win it despite youth of Joshua.

Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
I can't stand that grinning imp Hearn.
He loves his own publicity much more than that of his fighters, and his greasy smirking car salesman act really grates on me.
he was much too quick to pile into Tyson Furys problems for my liking, and he seems to enjoy picking on his fresh corpse.
A smarmy untrustworthy oily vulture, methinks, who is only successful because of his daddy.

He was clean when he won and fell off the rails after.

which would make him not a LEGIT challenge anymore seeing how he's got a UKAD hearing and apparently gone balls deep into a cocaine addiction so as I said "Wlad the biggest LEGIT challenge for any heavyweight".....FACT
Now maybe Tyson gets his head back on straight in the future....maybe then he could claim to be the best, but as it stands right now he's more of a mental case than a prize fighter

Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
Furys a fucking idiot and probably just cost himself £10 million ish.
His uncle can fuck off with his article in todays press considering he's an ex drug dealer himself.... fucking hypocritical cunt.

Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
Its Tyson Fury dont forget. Most talked about fighter on here, even though he hasnt even fought this year;D
-
Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
Being the most talked about fighter doesn't make him the best or even most liked
plus I am sure that throughout the year there would have been more threads about Mayweather than Fury, and he hasn't only not fought this year but he's fucking retired (apparently) ;D
-
Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
oh and the only other reason as to why he is discussed to the extent that he is is because of people trying to fathom the reason behind your unconditional romance with the man, I have to give you that much you have single handedly promoted the man all year round.
I may have missed it but have you actually stated your opinion on professional boxers who take cocaine? do you agree with it?

It's alright, he's making up for future time lost because people knew he wasn't a rocket scientist but they never thought he could be this God damned dumb.

Which part is an opinion? The part where Wlad is the biggest LEGIT challenge to anyone in the division or the part where Tyson Fury is more of a mental case than a fighter at this point?

cant be arsed talking about it anymore
you're obviously just trying to shout your opinions louder by putting the word FACT at the end of them

Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
I hope it is Klit as I start to worry that the undeserving Haye will get a shot - and I'd pick him to take AJ at present.

counter argument to what?

I thought you and I quote "couldn't be arsed talking about it anymore"? But since you've stuck to your guns ;D you have no counter argument to my statement. I say FACT you say it's opinion, you ask for specifics and then fail to elaborate on your position. There's no "Deontay Wilder/Anthony Joshua are the most dangerous fighters" or "Tyson Fury is still a top boxer" it's just "that's an opinion" and then nothing....you're a waste of time

What are you talking about ? Faty McTaxidriver is a bonafide legend. More bouts then you have had pork barbecues.

Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
That is a cunt thing to say. Nothing like Ali v Berbick and Haye is a hypocrite to suggest it.
-
Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
I think and I hope it doesn't happen, but it's a possibility that Wlad might over train for this one....he's been in the gym since before Cokehead McGee decided to slide off the rails and fail 2 drug tests (you know after the PEDs test he also failed).
Joshua is young, he's still wound up pretty tight but he's a very dangerous fighter perhaps the best in the division bar Wlad himself.
The GOOD news for Wlad is that Joshua has a more deliberate style than Wilder who is as his name suggests, someone who doesn't wait around to set anything up, he just swings for the fences.

Yes, just because Fury beat him does not take away that Wlad was on a great run and made a near record number of defences.

Re: Joshua v Klitschko edges closer - December 2016
Wlad always used to bring in young prospects as sparring partners. A good way to get an idea about who's on the way up .... and also a sneaky way to get a mental edge on them by handling them while they are still raw.
He sparred quite a lot with Joshua years ago apparently. I wonder how it went.
i for one hope that Wlad and Joshua fight. Wlad will easily be leagues better than anyone Joshua has fought, and Joshua will Ben a genuine test for Wlad at this stage if his career.
Whoever wins will have decent heavyweight bragging rights.
