Jermall Charlo v Julian Williams Dec. 10 on Showtime!

Frankly I'm just glad to see action returning in December as we've been in a massive drought :tumbleweed: This is a great match up and has been brewing for awhile with 22-0-1 Williams calling him out at every microphone and in my eye at least Jermall looks the lesser of the champion twin brothers as of late. A faded but step up in Trout was having some moments and Williams is levels above a 43 yr old K9. Still picking Charlo as he'll no doubt rise to the occasion but if he comes in sluggish and void of combination punching he may very well end up on his arse. Love the fight in what is a competitive 154 division, with or without the lil freckle faced fella :-X

In what should probably have been the co main we get the Argentinian bulldozer Jesus Andres Cuellar 28-1 defending vs Abner Mares 29-2-1. Nice styles clash and both will be a full year out when the bell rings after the original date had to be rescheduled. In the name of Joseph Agbeko still talking in a high pitch voice I think Cuellar can wear Mares down at this point. Good scrap. Sergey Lipinets vs Leonardo Zappavinga as well.

This is a damn good fight, I think I favour Williams slightly tbh. He hasn't been tested much, but I felt Trout shouldn't have been such a tough assignment for Charlo, so there isn't much separating these guys imo. It's easy to look like a thinker/nuanced fighter if you've got great ability and fight guys way below your level, Charlo appeared to be exactly where Williams is now, before his last fight.

Never seen Williams fight but I think that charlo is a good fighter. So I can't really predict the winner.

154 could become a hot division really quickly with more matchups like this. The talent is there, they just need to fight.

154 is one of the few divisions that top fighters have actually been fighting each other for the most part for the past few years.

I was glad to hear Jermall take this tough fight.... Finally we will see what we have w/ Jermall because he will be tested early and often in this fight.... Williams can match Charlo's skill but Julian has more pop me thinks.... This one could be a barn burner....:D

Yeh I could flip a coin and see either winning but Trout was step up difference between the two. Not sure what Charlo is rehydrating to now but he has looked soggy, frankly lethargic and had to work vs Trout. But he has better polish and behind better jab he might leave Williams overcommitted and turning into combos. Williams has a short hard jab but he does most things one at a time.

On aside....HBO and SHOWTIME finally air fights...once again on the same night :furious2: :p Crawford vs the infamous TBA on hbo.

Two decent fights on one card. How about that.

There isn't too much boxing. I'm excited to spend the day watching it

They should spread these boxing matches over each week. Not right. They should fight over christmas and new year.

Charlo and Williams first up now. This should be a great showdown. What the sport needs much more of early on!

Williams pretty sharp 1st....wow! Charlo drops him with huge jab, hurt bad.

Excellent give and take round 2. Charlo takes his best right after knockdown. Williams reacts to body shots and feeling it. Sniff and scratch good scrap so far.

:o man!!! THAT was a sensational uppercut and Williams ko'd after dropped twice. Charlo turned it up brutal! Highlight reel stuff. How Williams got up pure raw heart.

Charlo just turned pure villain. Bit of a shit refusing Williams in corner.

I can't find an English link. I'm watching that fight in some language I'm not sure, the Chavez fight in Spanish on my tv, and a Box Nation link for Crawford.

Charlo looked impressive. No way canelo fights him. He has some decent prospects at middle though.

Mares looked good. If frampton beats Santa Cruz again, him against mares would be a good fight.

Charlo looked great and very powerful.I'd still favor Canelo over him and GGG as well. He's not to be taken lightly though. He is peaking and brimming with confidence to go with his talent and power.

The Charlos acted like real ass holes after the Williams fight Jermall acting like a schoolgirl having a hissy fit
