Luis Ortiz, Stephen Smith, Jamie McDonnell and Martin Murray all fight in Monte Carlo

'King Kong' Ortiz is considered one of the most dangerous heavyweights on the planet and can stake his claim for a world title shot when he battles Malik Scott.

On an exciting undercard, Smith will attempt to win a world title at the second attempt as he challenges WBA super-featherweight champion Jason Sosa.

Jamie McDonnell makes the fifth defence of his WBA bantamweight belt against the dangerous Liborio Solis, while Murray will take on unbeaten replacement Nuhu Lawal.

I'd forgotten this was even happening, starts soon too. Malik Scott is a huge guy and he does have good skills, the Wilder and Chisora defeats make him a guy you have to steamroll to impress anyone though, hoping Ortiz gets it done. I don't really know enough about all of the other fighters, but on paper they are solid match ups. Who was Murray supposed to fight initially? An undefeated late replacement can never be a fun prospect and he's fairly shopworn by now. Smith and McDonnel both have really tough opponents at the least, could be a great card.

Murray's opponent Nuhu Lawal isn't a bad fighter.

Undefeated been active and looks to be winning to me. Every fight Iv seen Murray in he's never taking charge.

I think Lawal is too strong for him. Murray ain't a super middle and Lawal will end up up too much for him.

Murrays defence and movement is stand bolt upright with gloves in front of face and go back to ropes:rolleyes:

Other than Jennings it's really different than what Ortiz has faced. Just wonder what version of Scott shows up. He definitely has the size and bit negative style to frustrate someone overlooking him. That chin and the fast hands of Ortiz though..

McDonnell is marked up a lot.

McDonnell's WBA World bantamweight belt is in jeopardy, Solis appears to be ahead in this fight.

McDonnell hurt in the 9th with right hand. He is getting battered and beat.

McDonnell won the 9th amazingly wobbled the opponent with the left hook.

10th tough to score both giving it there all. Quality fight.

Tough round but give it to Solis. Both showing guts.

Excellent last round! Solis is talented fighter and got James Toney type skills inside.

It's really hard to be a boxing fan sometimes. Figured the judges would have got it right when a UD was announced, and especially by those margins.

When I heard the scores, I thought they were for Solis.

I only saw the last 5 rounds and Solis won the majority of those.

Wrong guy I like J Mc but he lost that fight a bad decision .
