I think you're 100% on everything you just said.
Want Bellew to take it because of the dickhead Haye's been the past couple years, but think Haye will stop him early.
On the plus side that means we see Haye v Joshua or Fury later this year and I would LOVE Fury to be knocked out (and I think Haye would do it)
My Prediction - Whatever happens , it will be a FARCE!
I disagree from some sentences you said
yeah you all talk bollox
most of the time
@Master is stupid
Eric and PK will take over saddo, just you watch
Anyway, @erics44 , this thread is titled predictions, so tell us, what's your prediction?
my prediction is @Primo Carnera and @Master do a whole lot of moaning from now until the fight
I'm waiting for the first written prediction in this thread............
Appreciated that you've ruined my thread guys.
You know you can just PM each other.
Is there anyone who doesn't think Haye will spark him fairly early? If he doesn't it's going to look bad for him no matter what. The idea that someone who was in way over their head and knocked out against Stevenson only a few years ago, is now fighting Haye, is crazy.
Round 1 KO
Haye can get him out of there any time he wants to you feel.
Won't go beyond 2
Would be shocked if this goes past three rounds.
Don't think Bellew can take Haye's power.
Haye KO 5
Haye wins easily, unless he has suddenly become old.
It's hard to know what level Haye is at right now, as his last 2 opponents were so poor, I'd back my next door neighbour's cat to KO both of them on the same night, plus he was out for a long time following major surgery, but if he is anywhere near the level he was in 2012, Bellow is in for a painful night.
Bellow will at least try to hit Haye, but that will be his undoing, because it will force David to spring into action.
I reckon it won't last three rounds.
Haye in 123 would be my bet. There is no way he will piss about with this opponent with so much potentially at stake after a win. He will take him out at the earliest realistic opportunity. Ouch!
Early if Haye wants to. It's a rubbish matchup and bigger fool anyone that goes to watch it. Pointless.
Haye Round 3.
Barely a punch thrown in 1
Scores a KD or 2 in 2
Ref stops it in 3
Hope to be proven wrong buts looks a gross mismatch to me
I really think a lot of people will be shocked at how well bellew will do
I don't think he will win but I think he will be in it
GGG was laughing all the way to the bank and even he said Brook was too small. GGG was under control from the first round where he wobbled him and after that Brook was in desperate mode. It was not competitive and not even you would ask for a rematch of that fight which illustrates that it was one way traffic.
I prefer this fight to Haye against most heavies. Like it more than Haye Briggs which is what I was expecting.
While I like and will root for Briggs, I don't rate him very highly, but also can't see how Bellew would beat him. Fact is Briggs has a chin and he's a big man, Bellew as a HW is ridiculous imo, he wouldn't beat anyone. In fact I don't think there's a boxer on earth that could go from getting smashed around by Stevenson, having two wars with Cleverly, and not be fodder for Briggs or any other durable HW with a punch.
The build-up & press conferences will be more interesting than the fight.
Unless Haye has deteriorated significantly, then it's a mismatch.
It won't go beyond three & I would be surprised if it went that long.
It's hard to say because they are both flawed and so anything could happen . What's the worst thing ? Briggs being old, or Bellew being Shit and not a HW?
my point to @Silkeyjoe was if he feels Briggs would beat Bellew as I assume he might feel, then why is Bellew/Haye a better fight than Briggs/Haye.
anyway, I was asking Silks, so mind your own fuckin business! ;);D
I think Bellew beats Briggs now. Hes so bad now. Survive a round or 2 and he gets tired and the power isnt there any more. I may be wrong.
There is so many crap fights at heavy. Bellew moving up just adds more to the pile of shite there :D
I think Haye will blast him within 3 rounds.
Haye will fuck his world up. Haye has already said it's a dangerous fight for Bellew to his team, Hearn etc....and I think it really is.
Tony Bellew believes David Haye will "quit" if their grudge fight becomes too demanding at The O2 on March 4.
The Merseysider is preparing for his eagerly-awaited domestic clash with Haye, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and has questioned the desire of his 36-year-old opponent.
Haye made his comeback after a lengthy injury lay-off this year, but Bellew has suggested the former two-weight world champion does not have the same mental toughness and plans to push him to breaking point.
"What I will tell you is, if this fight goes past four rounds, he's going to quit," said the current WBC cruiserweight champion.
"At some stage, it will get too hard and he will quit. He hasn't got the fight in him anymore.
"I love fighting. I am not 100 per cent in the head, I enjoy having a fight. We will see on March 4, where it happens, when it happens, but I must stress when I knock out David Haye on March 4 - I am then the best heavyweight in the world outside of them champions.
"Just let that sink in and think about where do I go from there."
Bellew does concede that Haye is the "most dangerous" heavyweight in the world, although he expects to emerge the winner from either a gruelling battle, or a four round firefight.
"He's the best heavyweight in the world outside of the champions," said Bellew. "There is no debating that whatsoever.
"He's possibly the most dangerous heavyweight in the world, including the champions. What does he do very well? He has got a massive right hand. His technique's not the best but his fantastic athleticism allows him to make up for that.
"If I can drag him to the second half of the fight and to the deep waters, I will drown him, I will win easy, but I don't think it will get that far.
"I do believe this fight could be a four-round shootout and I am under no illusions if he catches me clean in the first four rounds I am going to have to get off the floor to win, but make no mistake he's going to have to do the same thing.
"The big difference between me and him, he hasn't got it in him to get off the floor."
Bellew: Haye could quit
