Completely false on all accounts. The UFC is historically the route ex-football players go in America. Rugby and the NFL are not the same sport and most of those guys over in the U.K. couldn't hold NFL player's jock straps. The athletic ability is not even close. Ted Guinn, Jr., beat Bolt twice growing up but chose the NFL over track because that's where all the best athletes go.Quote:

In the us boxing has a small loyal following but it's no where near religious like football and baseball has achieved. Guys are signing ten year 300 million dollar contacts. Arum and crew have done a terrible thing with boxing. I've heard a few new promoters including the one Tyson is involved in are planning to shake things up but the remains to be seen.Quote:

I don't watch the NBA but I don't have to watch it to know that there are Middle School CHILDREN in the US that could beat your very best basketball players....no really....your VERY BEST
Yeah because there's yet another sport we dominate....you think the US is done with boxing?!?! We might be letting some folks catch up, but we're still doing alright despite the sport not being a priority.

Well, we here in little ol' Puerto Rico can't compete in sheer numbers, but we more than hold our when given the small size and population of the island. Boxing is a given. Baseball is another given, in which we can beat any country on any given day. Basketball..... uhh... not so much, although outside of the U.S., and some other world powers we can hang pretty well. We don't play rugby, we don't play soccer, and..... I guess that's about it.
Having said that, I'll drink to that with a "coquito", a Puerto Rican version of eggnog, only a million times better.
