Israel has reportedly suspended ties with 12 UN Security Council nations | Business Insider India
Among these are some major players (Russia, China, Britain, France, Japan). The U.S. abstained from the vote to pass a resolution urging Israel to halt building settlements on occupied Palestinian land. So I guess the U.S. is also in hot water with Israel... again.
I got my own opinion on this (which I'll initially reserve), but... any thoughts?

Israel can't stand truth. This is why they're pissed. Israel is and has been a terrorist state. They have taken the murder of innocent people to another level. A UN doctor said that it is so bad in Gaza that the children by age 8 has loss the will to live. Thank God the rest of the world is waking up. I hope Trump will grow a pair and stand up to Israel.

I must admit I've been an ardent Israel supporter for years. I chalk most of that up to being brainwashed by the ZOG. I stil do plan on visiting one day.

Basically Israel has had it's nose put out of joint by being told to remove settlers off the west bank.
The UN has told them something they don't want to hear and we want to know why the rise in home grown terrorism.
lsrael has made the west pay a heavy price for years to come in supporting them as they treat the Palestinians like shit.
Remember to take land off people is one thing but to treat them like shit is an other, with the west supporting them they carry on with impunity to do as they wish.

Totally agree. In today's era and environment, I think it's high time the world begins to put a muzzle on these guys. For being such a small country, they sure stir up a lot of shit. Just the fact that you've got all these other countries... who don't always agree on everything... lined up on a resolution against these settlements... speaks volumes about who the damn troublemaker is here. Unfortunately I see a chance of Trump reversing the recent U.S. stance and undoing some of the progress that is trying to be made on the global scene.

At the same time we don't want to give to much credence to the un. They truly are a worthless bunch that cost the us 8 billion a year. On second thought screw the un, all the hotspots in the world and this is the best they can do. Why not take on South Koreans oppression of women. That's a fair enough assessment and complaint. Maybe the ideal was good... but as usual from idea to reality there's usually a huge disconnect. Maybe it's time for people with balls to completely overhaul the organization, and make it do what it was meant to do. Otherwise scrap the damn thing.

What benefit have we received from being a part of the UN? They use our soldiers, they take our money, they operate on the false assumption that all nations are of equal value.....what does America get from the UN?
Also in regards to Israel, they won that land in a war they didn't start. So what you want to punish them for being too good at defending themselves? Israeli-Arab conflicts, old as time itself, and the U.S. sticking it's gigantic nose where it doesn't belong, is one of the main reasons why the U.S. has suffered from Arab extremists' terrorism. Did I say Israel was blameless? Have they caused some troubles? Sure, but this whole idea of Obama calling for Israel to give up land and return to pre-1967 borders....that's BEGGING for trouble, you can't be blind to that, it's giving up high ground so Palestinians will be able to attack Israel all the better and closer with their rockets.....or does Israel deserve that? I'd much rather be neutral, and let them resolve their own differences. Surely the Israelis wouldn't resort to terrorist bombings against the U.S. if left to deal with their own problems. Given the current state of global affairs and the proliferation of terrorism, I don't agree with this world policeman stance.

Trump is likely to ruin something that was slowly happening after wayyy too long, a chance to quiet these guys down for good and perhaps to enforce a bit of humanity over them.
