Best 1st rounds of all time

Besides Hagler-Hearns. Cause if that was included most everybody would just say that and it wouldn't be much of a discussion

For some reason, I'm drawing a blank at the moment, I'm sure more will come to mind in a minute but the first one I thought of was the first round of Moorer-Cooper. Great first round, both guys almost knocked out. A lesser known one that was good was Manuel Gomez-Jeffrey Hill. Gomez was in serious trouble about the whole round and at the end of the round KO'd Hill with one right hand

i think calzaghe vs lacy round 1 was ok i know most ppl will think its an odd choice but iv picked it simply becus loads of ppl were saying tht lacy would spark calzaghe out early and when the first round strted and joe was controlling it easily from the strt i rekon most ppl like me were thinking wtf i didnt expect this and it just showed wt joe could do

Emmanuel Lucero-Frankie Archuletta was another good lesser known one

Pac- JMM was good. More because of the outcome

I still haven't seen a better one than Castillo vs. Corrales round 10

Not a competitive 1st round but if you're going for pure excitement, Tyson-Spinks was a big 1 rounder.
Same with Liston-Patterson 1 & 2.
Or what about Patterson-Ingemar Johanssen 3?
Coming off their FOTY 2nd fight, They start round one of their third bout with three knockdowns in the first round.

Prince naseem vs kevin kelley, not so much for boxing greatness, more for the butterflies it put in my stomach!

Derick Jefferson, Maurice Harris.. Not many people will have seen it, it was an old replay I think wednesday night fights or something.. Great round,, Jefferson was beating him up, almost had him out in the opening minute, dropped him.. Harris gets up at 8 or 9 barely.. Then Jefferson goes to finish him off and walks into a perfect left hook.. He wasn't hurt as badly but he got dropped really hard out of nowhere and everyone was screaming.. That was a FOTY candidate, the first and last rounds were almost identicle with Jefferson beating him up only to almost get KTFO out of nowhere..

In my top 5 favorite KO/TKOs of all time.

I hate to bring this up...but I just watched Chaves Johnson tonight...& it was really really competitive from the first round to the last one.

Yea I know, I was majorly pulling for Harris(just like to take the underdog if I dont follow either fighter).. And just when I thought he might come back and pull it off like he has in other fights I have seen... He got brutalized, that was a wicked shot Jefferson put him away with, I can't believe he even made it up the first time.

I thought Tyson-Holyfield 1, and Judah-Tszyu were intense. Maybe not the best rounds ever, but intense.

One of my personal favorites{which wasn't that good,but entertaining}, was Tua-Ruiz. You have to love seeing the "Quiet" man being out on his feet.

What scared me was Ruiz's health... I thought he was seriously injured from that because that last left hook he took on his way down was HUGE. Also the Tua vs. Moorer was classic as well.

Another one would be Tyson vs. Spinks ... Hyped fight ended quickly. He had another fight where him and the other guy were swinging away until he hit the other guy and it was over.

dempsey v willard is prob one of the most onesided rounds of all time albeit historic

Eubank-Benn
