Has there been a better fight in terms of excitement than Earl Katsidis? Ever?

I must have over 400 fights on DVD, all watched and I don't think I can think of a better all action fight than this? Only 5 rounds but every single round is insane - the 3rd being the least exciting but still a cracker.

I know it's not top quality but for pure excitement is there a better fight that constantly keeps you ont he edge of your seat - corrales castillo had the most amazing ending but they weren't going down every other round.

Maybe it's too high on my list but basically if you have any better fights in mind put them below as I fancy a watch! Gatti ward aside at least it has to be up there


Edit: Add to the fight Micky Vanns throwing out the towel and a knockdown 10 seconds later which was amazing - and Dukes commentary ... this is UNCREDIBLE after trying to say unbelievable and incredible at the same time and I don't think it can be beaten!

it was a great fight, towel in and out and all that

at the time I though earl was coming back into it when they stopped it, the corner said 1 more round then he had his best round, I think they could have given him another

that's only from my vague memory mind you

I think there have been better fights tho, maybe if it had have gone on another 4 or 5 rounds it would have been hard to top

Andy Holigan v Shea Neary was madness action and local rivalry where both fighters did not want to lose.

That is the best all action intense affair I have ever seen.

It was superb, but so was Benn-G-Man and Hearns-Hagler.

Kat was an all-action fighter every second of every round.

anyone see Nolan v Dolan 1? think it was the British cruiser title

cant beat Maklin v Moore tho :)

the johanson one was my favourite tho

it was on the undercard of a big fight and I cant remember what fight it was (im gonna look it up in a minute) but from memory the main event was good too, but Mitchell johanson stole the show

I was there. O2 on the Haye v Maccrinelli undercard.
People aren't going to agree with me, but unless you've the most expensive seats in the house , I'd rather watch it on the telly than in a massive arena.

Stop getting your knickers in a twist, it ended up a mis-match and eric said it was as good as Mitchell v Johannson. That was the context. :)

My personal opinion is that Earl v Kat is definitely in bed with the above - Great fight :cool:

Macklin Moore - Brilliant fight, good pick

I am now going to watch every single one of them listed above. One I remember rarely talked about but really exciting was Kostya Tzsyu vs Vince Philips.

Agreed. I went to Calzaghe v Kessler a good few years back and had floor level seats (about £120 if I recall) View was beyond s***, ended up watching it on the big screen. Some lads in same hotel as us had got seats in 1st tier of stand and got a way better view apparently, for about £70. Never again
