Michael Watson 'DRAGGED along a street' & severely injured in carjacking attack
Re: Michael Watson 'DRAGGED along a street' & severely injured in carjacking attack
Surely they didn't know who Watson is? With the boxing world/Essex-London connections good luck with getting away with that.
Re: Michael Watson 'DRAGGED along a street' & severely injured in carjacking attack
Terrible. I hope he heals well and they catch the bastards.
Re: Michael Watson 'DRAGGED along a street' & severely injured in carjacking attack
How low can someone go? That is just disgraceful. Leave them in a room with AJ for a couple of hours as payback.

The guys who did this were driving a Mercedes and trying to car jack a VW Golf.
It's like putting on an Armani suit then standing outside Primark and robbing peoples clothes shopping.
Makes no sense at all, hope these cunts do get some street justice, which i'm sure they will do ;)

Former boxer Michael Watson has told of being attacked by two men who dragged him along the road as one of them tried to drive off in his car.
Mr Watson, 51, described the incident in Chingford, east London, on Thursday as "a very frightening, violent situation which came out of the blue".
The boxer, who suffered a near-fatal brain injury in a 1991 fight with Chris Eubank, appealed for witnesses.
He said he had been "overwhelmed" by the kindness shown to him afterwards.
"I don't want anyone else to have to go through that, so I'm asking you to help the police in finding these men and bring them to justice," he said.
Mr Watson, who was left partially disabled by his boxing career, was in a car with his carer Lennard Ballack when it was hit from behind by a white Mercedes at traffic lights at about 17:00 GMT.
Mr Ballack tried to speak to the driver but was sprayed in the face with "some sort of ammonia", former boxer Spencer Oliver told BBC Radio 5 live.
Mr Watson got caught up in the seatbelt as he tried to get out. As the car was driven off, he was "hanging out of the door" and dragged about 550m (1,800ft), Mr Oliver said.
He is recovering at home from injuries to the skin caused by being dragged along the road.
Mr Watson's 1991 WBO super-middleweight title fight with Mr Eubank left him partially disabled and ended his boxing career. He spent 40 days in a coma and had six brain operations.
In 2003, he completed the London Marathon over six days, defying doctors' predictions that he would never walk again.

That's a shame. It's a shame it happened to Michael Watson, it's a shame it could have happened to anyone else. I hope Mr. Watson recovers fully and these scumbags are brought to justice.

The Michael Watson attack has just headlined Crimewatch (tv show) here in the UK so hopefully they'll catch the cunts that did this.
They just showed images of his injuries where a huge patch of skin below his shoulder is now pink after being peeled off while he was dragged 5-600 meters along the road.

the shame about this is that, in his prime Watson would have put them in hospital - if he even allowed it to get that far

Carjack gang guilty of ex-boxer Michael Watson attack
A gang of carjackers who dragged former boxer Michael Watson 500 yards (450m) along a road in a failed attempt to steal a car have been convicted.
The 51-year-old, who was left partly disabled after a fight with Chris Eubank in 1991, was attacked along with his carer in Chingford last year.
Simon Luck, 29, Paul Samuels, 31, and Anselm Legemah, 23, also sprayed ammonia in the eyes of their victims.
They were found guilty at Snaresbrook Crown Court of two separate attacks.
On 16 February, the gang sprayed ammonia in the face and eyes of Watson's carer Lennard Ballack then beat and kicked him as they tried to steal a car.
As the men drove off Watson became trapped by his seatbelt and was pulled along the road.
The gang then abandoned their attempt, leaving a bottle of ammonia on the front passenger seat.
The gang stole a white Audi in a petrol station forecourt in Loughton during one attack
Nearly two weeks earlier, on 4 February, Samuels and Legemah stole a white Audi S3 from a petrol station forecourt in Loughton, Essex.
They persuaded the driver to open his window by pretending they needed a cigarette lighter, then took his car after squirting him with ammonia, causing him permanent damage.
The group carried out their attacks using a stolen Mercedes which was found crashed with Luck's DNA and a bottle of ammonia inside.
Richard Heatley, north London district prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service, said the men "were willing to cause serious harm by throwing corrosive substances and exposing their victims to great danger without regard for their safety".
Luck, Samuels and Legemah were all found guilty of conspiracy to rob and applying a corrosive fluid with intent to burn, maim, disfigure or disable or to do grievous bodily harm.
Luck and Samuels were also found guilty of a second count of applying a corrosive fluid.
They will be sentenced on 21 September.

Michael Watson carjacking: Former boxing champion says 'justice is served' as attackers are jailed for combined 60 years

Former boxer and carjacking victim Michael Watson said he felt "justice has been served" after his three attackers were jailed for a combined 54 years.
Mr Watson, who was left suffering flashbacks and seizures after the violent attack last year, spoke outside court on Friday of his relief that the men are now off the streets.
The 53-year-old, partially disabled after suffering a near-fatal brain injury during a fight with Chris Eubank in 1991, was dragged at least 150 meters along the road as a gang of robbers tried to steal the car he was travelling in.
The former sportsman, who kept his eyes trained on the culprits in the dock at Snaresbrook Crown Court for much of the sentencing, was a passenger in a Volkswagen Golf when it was shunted from behind and then commandeered by one of the assailants in Chingford, east London, on February 16 last year.
Mr Watson's friend and carer Lennard Ballack, who had been driving the car, was attacked by Paul Samuels, who sprayed in the face with ammonia.
Mr Ballack, whose "screams of pain" were heard by witnesses, was then punched and kicked as the attack continued, now involving Simon Luck, a second attacker.
Mr Watson, who was also sprayed with the ammonia, was dragged along the road as Samuels drove the car off at high speed, having been unable to escape after becoming caught in his seatbelt.
The attackers eventually abandoned the carjacking.

Sentencing them, judge Oscar del Fabbro said they had unwittingly attacked a "sporting legend" and praised Mr Watson for his resilience.
The judge said: "He rose to considerable fame as a world champion contender and he was made of sterner stuff both physically and mentally, unlike any of you sitting there in the dock.”
In a short victim impact statement, read to the court by prosecutor Robert Evans, Mr Watson said: "Since this ordeal I have suffered nothing but flashbacks. I have suffered from five or six physical seizures due to the stress."
"I feel sickened, mentally stressed, by what these people have done to me."
Speaking outside court afterwards, Mr Watson said he has not fully recovered from the attack, but added: "I'm a fighter. I'm very pleased they're off the streets.
"I hope this sends a good message to those out doing the same thing in society.
"It is truly a miracle I'm still here standing. I'm doing my best to get myself back on track."
He added that he felt "justice has been served".
Luck and Samuels were found guilty of two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery and applying a corrosive fluid with intent to burn, maim, disfigure or disable, or to inflict grievous bodily harm.
The pair and a third man, Anselm Legemah, were also found guilty last week over an attack two weeks earlier in Loughton, Essex, during which they sprayed ammonia at the driver of a car. It caused him permanent eye damage and injured a female passenger who had been celebrating her 16th birthday.
Legemah was found guilty of one count of conspiracy to commit robbery and applying a corrosive fluid with intent to burn, maim, disfigure or disable, or to inflict grievous bodily harm.
Luck, 29, and Samuels, 31, both of Woodgrange Park in east London, were each sentenced to 16 years in prison in relation to the carjackings.
Luck was further sentenced to four years after being found guilty of two counts of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, namely heroin and crack cocaine. Samuels was handed two further years after admitting the same offences.
Legemah, 23, of Canning Town, east London, was jailed for a total of 16 years.
