I think AJ wins but I also don't think Wilder would let him off the hook if he is blowing out of his arse by the end of the 4th round.
This is the Heavyweight fight i wanna see the most as they are two Massive punchers who will look for the KO from the off, can see this being over before the halfway stage too.
AJ wins and it will be relatively easy compared to Wlad. Wilder is an unpolished fighter with a suspect chin. AJ is too skilled and will knock him out.
His chin isn't as suspect as wlads chin and it took AJ 11 rounds to knock him outQuote:

I could easily see AJ winning too though. It's a pretty 50/50 fight for me, but if I had to put money on one of them, I would pick Wilder.
AJ should take it, he's been tried and tested and come out of the storm a winner....that said, a win like that can take a lot out of a fighter, if AJ keeps his head on straight and doesn't blow himself up with Coke and whole hog BBQ :rolleyes: , then hopefully he'll reign for a long time. Dude is a class act, he still has some polishing left to do in his game, but he has the skills to do it.
This would be a 5-10 minute adrenaline rush for the spectator.

I would have to pick Joshua. If Wilder catches him it'll be over but I see AJ staying patient waiting for the openings that Wilder will undoubtedly present.

Even ignoring how faulty that logic is (does he have the ability to land the shot) - Is it really a given that Wilder finishes AJ if he hurts him? He couldn't finish Stiverne and took double the rounds to get rid of Molina and Arreola after chinning them. Duhaupas took him 11 rounds then was totally outclassed and decapitated against the cheating cunt Povetkin.
Boxing fans (rightfully) judge fighters on the level of their competition, however, it just goes to show how quickly perceptions are changed. Joshua getting floored against a bona-fide, sparko punching elite boxer is enough to ignore that Wilder has never even ventured into elite territory yet.
I'm not certain Wilder beats a hard-as-nails, fearless, heavy handed guy like Breazeale or Whyte let alone Klitschko.
Have to agree with that American phone in thingy. Joshua's like Ken Norton and Wilder is like George Foreman. Bad matchup for Anthony Joshua

Wilder has a lot more to work on than AJ, I think if AJ works on doing a bit more stick and move he'll be good. The less he relies on his own punching power the better for him in the long run guys like Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko should be who he is looking to copy and not guys like Riddick Bowe who always gave up his height and reach advantages. Wilder given his frame and size, SHOULD be working on those attributes as well....Larry Holmes, Tommy Hearns, are good guys for him to watch and attempt to mimic but someone like Paul Williams (which is kind of how he fights right now) would be someone he could copy who is fun to watch but could shorten his career tremendously.
Wilder doesn't fight anything like Paul Williams (who always wanted to get inside), they're just lanky framed fighters, Wilder don't know what the fuck to do anytime he's not in range to land his right hand. He can't even use his pool cue jab if the other guy hasn't got breeze blocks chained to his feet.
I like Wilder, but his "wildness" is the best thing he has going for him. He's not a no-hoper against the best in the division because they could run into his propellers any time he's still windmilling.
Wilders wildness is precisely the kind of thing that will work to his Advantage perhaps looking at the Cup being half-full instead of half-empty. Yes he is always in the wrong position I have seen him Square his feet up or sometimes have the wrong Lead Foot while throwing a punch and also constantly out of position. However nobody ever knows where the punches are coming from or from what angles it is very strange indeed and this could work to his Advantage. Look at the way Tyson Fury crazy antics and weird movement work to his Advantage. Wilder could just be another one of those that you cannot solve his stylistic problems.
This could come down to who has the ugliest footwork. Joshuas footwork can be a little linear and frankenstein-ish at times because he likes to conserve his energy by inching his way into range, plant his feet and go combo crazy. Wilders footwork can be even worse because his has the bad habit of walking perpendicular to the fight line and planting in a wide stance, which is why he can get turned easy and even taking to turning his back and running around the perimeter when he finds himself out of position.
The knockdown against Vlad: The knockdown might be an indication of an opportunity for wilder if only in the sense that it was a one two, which is wilders bread and butter and pretty much the only thing he does well. Most other times hes benefiting from his his natural height and reach. Would he set up the same way as vlad, probably not to create the opportunity. Wilder catches many opponents with that right hand because they are under the false impression the'yre out of range and hes got more arm than they think. So its more than possible that that wilder catches joshua with the one two, but its also very possible that it doesn't have the effect everyone's thinking.
Neither guy fights well off the back foot. AJ has the advantage to keep wilder on the back foot purely because he throws more punches but his bulk will wear him down fast. Then wilder probably starts his assault. Judging by how he was sucking wind after his first attempt to close the show, this could be real bad news for AJ. Conditioning is key when youre hauling that much muscle. If he adds more head movement to his game instead of shelling up and trying to weather the storm, this could be an easy fight for him.
That was an excellent post Jay Undisputed. I agree. You know Joshua makes a lot of mistakes he sometimes does not know if he should commit to his punches and he often reaches with his punches. Wilder's favorite is the one two and Wilder will be throwing a lot more one-twos than Klit did. That could spell disaster 4 Joshua. Wilder also hits a lot harder than Klitschko. The guy has freakish power I won't compare him to George Foreman but I don't know where he gets his power from with those windmill arm punches
Tbh I don't even think Wilder has that much power. As he's gone up in standard that's been noticeable.
Wilder could shadow box in the bathroom mirror for a month and he'll never have the educated punching and ring awareness of a Wlad. His faults and nil defense leave him as vulnerable as his power benefits him. It's a helluva trade off and one with an expiration date. His delivery system is shit. Honestly think AJ learned and showed more adjustment in that fight than Wilder has in last 10 fights. It's a true statement 'AJ is still a bit green' but Wilder is just raw. His wildness gives him a chance against majority today, but it's a very small window and a quality jab resets him every time. I like Joshua to ko him.
