Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
I keep seeing all this crap that Floyd ducked GGG, he was scared etc.... they would come into the ring 15-20lbs apart. What's the point of that fight? Just in hopes for the haters to see him lose?
-
Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
Welcome to the forum. Yep, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. Floyd haters believe that it is Floyd's duty and obligation to fight somebody with all the disadvantages in order to lose his "0". How dare he end his career unbeaten!
40 years old , out of the ring for the best part of 2 years, his job is to hand some other fighter a legacy on a plate . God forbid they earn their stripes like he had to.

Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
Floyd haters just want to see the cherry picking, women beating scumbag get his cheating ass kicked.
The fact that some Flomo's think Floyd could beat GGG makes me smile. :)

At 40 years old, probably not, but do you think Floyd could beat Jacobs?
-
Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
If he didn't claim to be TBE he wouldn't get so much sh-t.
-
Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
He's up there with Willie Pep for the best defensive fighter ever of that there's no doubt for me.
But he never took risks , which he could've done, and we never got to see him in a real scrap - admittedly a lot to do with the fact his defence was so good.
And if this mcgregor shit happens it will be another waste of time - unless they have two fights. One in the ring and one in the Octagon.

Are you insane! Jacobs would be a cruiserweight.

Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
A Prime Mayweather would have absolutely toyed with GGG, Golovkin would have been chasing shadows for 12 rounds.
Way too fast and clever which is why he never lost.

Not at middleweight he wouldn't. Too small. GGG rips him a new one.

Golovkin wouldn't have laid a glove on him and Floyd would easily boxed his head off because GGG is a sitting duck who never moves his head, the size wouldn't have made a difference ;)
Easy nights work for Mayweather, shame we never got to see it though.

Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
I wonder why Floyd never won the heavyweight title? Weird one that...

You better be joking because this really gets on my tits when people think that little fighters can still beat up bigger fighters based on what they do at the smaller weights. Floyd is a welterweight, his peak years were probably at a lower weight than that.
If an old ODH could nearly beat Floyd, an old Shane rocked Money man and Castillio/Maidana made it uncomfortable then what would GGG do?
-
Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
Floyd takes such huge risks, I mean the BOXING genius Conor McGregor?!?! What a risk.....how dangerous of a BOXING match that is
Floyd's 0 is a fucking joke. He's talented as hell nobody denies that, he had all-time great skill, he doesn't have an all-time great resume.

Mods, can we delete this thread please
another gay Floyd thread
summon dudes, lets stop being gay

Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
To be fair, the thread starter said it's ridiculous to expect Floyd to beat Golovkin. There's no flomo in that opinion, basic common sense.

Why am I Insane? I asked a question and was curious about your answer, I never said I thought he would win. But true to form, you didn't answer the question.

Of course little fighters can beat bigger fighters and history confirms that
Id be interested to hear your views on these guys who all won World Titles at multiple weights :)
Hearns - Welterweight to Cruiserweight
Duran - Lightweight - Middleweight
Pacquiao - Flyweight to Jnr Middleweight
Roy Jones - Middleweight to Heavyweight

I am not saying fighters can not go up in weight and win. Floyd is an example of that but his limit was light middleweight and at his age he would not go further.
The equivalent of this would be Hearns and Jones beating prime Lennox, Duran beating prime Roy Jones. Very unlikely to put it mildly.

Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
I did say a prime Mayweather would beat Golovkin with ease, absolutely tailor made for Floyd, zero head movement would have made it 12 rounds of target practise for Floyd.
Baffles me why people hate on Mayweather, the guy was an incredible fighter and his record speaks for itself.
- "He can have heart, he can hit harder and he can be stronger, but there's no fighter smarter than me."

At middleweight? No way. P4P yes but not at middleweight even in his prime!
No hate just reality.
It is like saying Floyd could beat Hagler or even Tyson. Just not possible.

Don't be fucking silly. How is it like saying he could beat Tyson? :LMAO:
In his prime, it is not inconceivable to suggest that Floyd probably would've beaten GGG. And Hagler and GGG are very different fighters.
You let your hatred of Floyd distort your opinion of him as a Boxer.
I think Floyd used to be a twat, but you have to respect his quality.

Golovkin better be happy Mayweather doesn't hear him mouffin off! Superman may leap tall buildings but Mayweather leaps decades of legends AND is faster than a speeding Nerf dart. Golovkin will be lucky to get a Charlie Z match after Floyd is finished with him :embarassed:

Floyd is so great he didn't even bother ruling middleweight-to-heavyweight.
Imagine what he would've done to Froch? You can't beat what you can't hit. Easy work.

I'm not being a muppet. I'm a GGG fan and he's dominated the MW Division for some time now.
But there's no denying his opposition has been poor.
Floyd beat a lot of great fighters albeit at lower than MW, but GGG is not a giant MW in height or size.
I could just see GGG Walking Floyd down like he does and getting tagged every time. Yeah, he'd brush them off and they wouldn't hurt him, but he may get frustrated and not have a plan B. Not dissimilar to the Jacobs fight.
-
Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
Like i said size wouldn't have come into it at all, easy win for Floyd due to Golovkins static head, Floyd would have beaten him with speed and boxing ability, whipping him on points.......... for the distance if necessary ;D

You are an absolute cunt of the highest order. Never ever write shit like this again.
(I am pissed that Floyd is coming back and boxing again so do not play with me.)

Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
If you base Floyd beating Golovkin on the Jacobs fight - a 6'1 quick middleweight with a reach advantage that fights nothing like Floyd - then equally you have to consider Floyd "losing" to Castilo.
So based on how easily a 5'7, "slow" lightweight was able to pressure Floyd then a 5'11 middleweight with a longer reach, fantastic jab, bone crunching power and a granite strong bonce would absolutely kill him.
Yeah.. I wonder why Floyd never attempted winning a middleweight title. ;D

Jacobs ain't 6ft 1 and GGG is not 5ft 11. I don't care what the "Stats" say, we know they're bollocks.
Jacobs is about 6 foot and I know that's a lot taller than Floyd, but Floyd makes up for that with his defensive skills , reactions and counter punching.
GGG is about 5ft 9 I would say. No doubt Floyd wouldn't have felt the power anything like GGG possessed , but I do believe he could avoid that for 12 rounds.

I thought you were messing about but you are seriously deluded. Why didn't Floyd try and win a middleweight title if it was that easy. Floyd barely beat an old Oscar because the jab was causing him issues. GGG would wreck him.

Who said it would be easy, you fucking fool?
I just think that the very fact people actually wanted to see it happen is testament to how good Floyd was.
I never wanted to see it because although I believe he would have won, I think it was a bit of a circus show and I don't think Floyd needed to prove anything to anyone, especially clowns like you that want to see it in the hope that he would lose!
He had no reason to take the risk. At the time, GGG Wasn't big money.
All I'm saying is that PRIME FOR PRIME I think Floyd would've edged it.
And if he wanted a MW Belt, he wouldn't have had to fight GGG, he could've offered Cotto big dough and would've taken his strap.
It's only idiots like you that get all hissy about his achievements and try to denigrate them.
You should really let him go. You hated him, you wanted to see him lose and you're not gonna get the satisfaction because he ain't coming back!
Get over it and move on with your life.
Start hating somebody else if you need that in your life.😉

Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
Imagine if GGG was naturally 147.
Just imagine.
Weight classes are there for a reason.
GGG was closer in weight to Andre Ward than Floyd is to GGG.
GGG completely ducked Ward so Ward stepped up and fought the best at light heavy.
I don't blame GGG for ducking Ward as there is much more money on the table against Canelo and unifying the division..your heroes can't fight everyone.
Floyd is 40 years old and left the sport looking 29 years old..he's rich and takes no punishment to no one.
He beat Pac, Canelo and Cotto on a C+ performance..just accept it and stop dragging him back to risk a loss.
2 years from now when Spence is running the division will we say that Floyd is ducking Spence?
Stones and glass houses don't mix.

Re: Floyd haters keep saying he ducked GGG
I couldn't give a shit about the weight difference between Golovkin and Mayweather, people are chatting shit like it's never been achieved before in the history of Boxing, it has been and plenty of times where a guy from a smaller weight has moved up through the weights to win world titles.
I love Golovkin (but he's far from the Superhero a lot of people seem to think he is) he's been an absolute breath of fresh air compared to the way Mayweathers fights (post Hatton) panned out, but he would have been dealt with exactly the same way as Floyd dealt with Canelo, he'd be chasing Floyd around the ring for 12 rounds, completely bemused and air conditioning the venue with his fists.
Way too Slick, Smart and defensively brilliant to get caught or stand and trade, yes it would have been boring to watch but he'd have absolutely fucking toyed with him.
I think peoples hate of Floyd is pretty pathetic if i'm honest and when it completely blinds them to the fact he was an utter genius in the ring it's actually laughable.
History proves beyond any doubt at all that smaller fighters can and have beaten bigger fighters at 5,6 or even 7 weights above them.

Floyd was at his very limit even making light middle so middle weight would have been a step too far. He would have stood a chance against Cotto, maybe Canelo having already beaten him but making him come down in weight a bit further. I am not hating Floyd, just saying it was too far in weight for him to go.

I think that GGG has all the tools to beat Floyd, from movement to power. Beside, I really chuckled at your Charlie Zelenoff's allusion. Funily enough, the turd is still pretending to be a 195-0 (He gets a few victories a month) by either paying folks to take a dive or suckerpunching random people. That guy amazes me; after almost 10 years after losing to a very lousy Andrew Hartley, he's still at it, in fantasy land.

Regardless of an inch here or there, Jacobs is much bigger than Floyd (height and weight), I don't see how anything can be taken from him in comparison with Floyd. Apart from all the physical/style differences Jacobs had the power to make Golovkin wary of being countered, something little Floyd certainly doesn't have the benefit of.
Contrary to what some people here believe, Golovkin isn't some thick face first brawler that mindlessly chases bods around the ring all night. He's an absolute master at cutting the ring off and trapping fighters. He works off a constant jab.
Good luck to Floyd when he's trapped on the ropes, as many a weaker lesser talent frequently does to him, and his unable to wrestle the far bigger stronger man off as he's getting holes blasted all over his arms and torso.
I suppose maybe he could survive 12 rounds, he certainly ain't winning anything.

Curious. How many fights did you pick Floyd to lose?
