David Benavidez vs Ronald Gavril on Showtime.

So this is on tonight. Great distraction. Benavidez is a big framed fresh face at 168 looking for his first strap tonight. He absolutely walked through tough Porky Medina last out and not sure 18-1 Gavril has the durability to make the distance here.

Undefeated Caleb 'sweet hands' Plant takes on 19-6 Andrew Hernandez spr. middles. Plant has some skill and can be an interesting watch, shouldn't struggle much in this one but lets hope for fireworks. Oh and J'Lean love is also on card..meh :-X. Kicks off in about 10 minutes! Hernandez took this on a weeks notice:-X. Plant needs to shine here, no coasting.

Plant in control over 3rd and showing some fast near awkward combos and smart defensive shifts. Left eye of Hernandez is slamming shut and once he starts throwing gets quickly shut down. Steady beat up, Plant should escalate things next couple rounds.

6-0 all Plant. Tough enough Hernandez needs a ladder and a flashlight to get out of this hole. Caleb has some serious skill. Nights like this are a silver platter though, time to mash the gas and show some finishing with this many opportunities!

Hernandez gets checked over in 9th with cut bleeding, says I'm good lets go. If ever there was a front door that Caleb needed to kick in it's this one. Like the guy but another domination where you get the feel he can do more. I could be off but yeh.

Ref did everything he could to get it stopped in corner there ;D. Save for stop it himself. Should be shut out 100-90. Plant needs to grow..:p

Love still has a really bad habit of falling into the ropes and dropping his hands. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Han landing a couple rights while backing up in 2nd. 1-1

2-1 Han. Love is getting stood up on stiff jabs late 3rd and still trying to figure Han out.

Bayliss a little uptight with the 'pushing' warnings.

Love buzzed him mid 4th with overhand right, goes on defense and looks to counter well. Han with solid hooks to body but following more. 2-2

Forward flat feet from Love in 5th and sitting on his punches for first time. Walking Han down who is trying to shuck and jive his way here. 3-2 Love off best round I think.

Tompkins has no Love for Love. Says 'he did nothing' ???. Boxed and back only hit ropes once in 6th picking his spots. Not explosive but Han has been slowed last round, much more reactive. 4-2 Love

4-3 Love after Han catches him some good shots as Love watched his work. Love closes distance then he looks most vulnerable..oh shat big cut on Han from a headbutt!

Han on the canvas sprawled OUT??? Big bleeder it looks. Love cut over left eye and to the cards. That had to be a battering ram butt

That's a good thing hopefully a stream around. Both in the ring now pre intros.

Benavidez is just massive ffs

Oh great Jay Nadys camera loving self.

Benavidez punches well off his shoulders and frame. Pretty tight 1st but longer cleaner punches for Benavidez. Gavril pretty sturdy staying in range.

2nd fought totally ring center. Gavril rapid to head then body switching up. Benavidez looked a bit smothered close and thinking out loud. Gavril yet to backward step really. 1-1

Gavril really committed to body and Benavidez wide hooks and uppercut that gets in. Gavril backed to ropes and takes a gasp. Benavidez round late 2-1.

Bogus warning from ref on low blows from Gavril. Guy is a good body puncher. Benavidez is a good everything puncher and Gavril looks hurt. Gavrils nose starting to fall apart. Tough as hell though. Well fought pace by both 3-1 Benavidez

Benavidez let up a bit 6th and more jab comes in. Good selection and Gavril with fewer answers as he chugs forward early. Benavidez slowed later, 1 or 2 at a time and lets Gavril in. Looks like swelling around Benavidez eye. Fookin coin flip round. 4-2

I think the rum caught up :-X. 4-3 Benavidez. He will never fight his frame late in fights from the looks of it.

Gavril is a workhorse. Shorter sharper shots in 8th and Benavidez gets to tall or over shoots here and more one at a time now. 4-4 even up pretty good scrap.

Is David gassed? This is closer than I expected

Gavril round again the 9th for me. Volume and cleaner shots. Benavidez looks frustrated wiping his face and shaking out his hands. He can land big but few and far between. Damn didn't see this unfolding to be honest 5-4 Gavril

Gavril's defence is causing Benavidez grief.

Benavidez big with the power sways Gavril in 10th and had him buzzed. annnd back to 5-5 here :-X. Gavril making a strong case if he stays upright and keeps digging that body.

Gavril won't win if it goes to the cards.

This is a good fight. Benavidez got a second win there in the 10th.

Gavril on roller skates here! Tough tough nail being hammered late 11th. Guy is shooting piston shots though when recovered. Gritty as it gets. 6-5 Benavidez

:o Ohhhh and Gavril with the one brick and Benavidez dumped on his arse!!! That was awesome. Gavril just stole a massive round, brilliant!

Man THAT was as clean as it gets, great sneak counter from Gavril! Tough round to score...Benavidez won everything to me but that kd. Screw it I'm calling it 6-6 in a great little scrap.

Ideally a 9-9 round if we're honest save for the 10 point must system

Right decision but scores were a little wide.
