Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
So we've made it to fight week, presser going off right now. I feel confident in saying that Joseph Parker WILL!! defend his WBO heavyweight title against Hughie Fury at the old M.E.N
There's something likeable about Parker. Quiet, unassuming, not the most naturally gifted of fighters but it's clear to see that he works hard at it. Fury, a more natural fighter with better pedigree. It's got decision written all over it, neither of them have got the firepower to put a dent in anything. Anyone interested....at all...... @ross
Full card.

Even if I wanted to watch this I doubt if I could, with it being on YouTube PPV (lolz) I would probably put it on and click on one 'recommended video and before I know it I'm down the rabbit hole stuck in the wrong side of YouTube watching videos of turtles shitting in a shoebox whilst a cat urinates on the turtles head...or something like that.

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
Crazy decision by Hennessey to air this on Ppv/YouTube.

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
I'm looking forward to it, however, can the streaming sites get the youtube feed?
Not bet on this fight yet but however little power Parker has Hughie makes him look like Julian Jackson, and is the polar opposite stylewise to fat Andy. Parker's people must be the biggest mugs ever if they lose their title to an absolute nobody, in a fight that has zero interest - outside the hardcore/nerds - and couldn't even get on TV.
Old ross would be telling us why this was all a master plan and the greatest business ever buy the god-like Fury's.

Why have you changed your pic from Charles Bronson to a load of pills?

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
Apparently Parker's promoter turned up pissed and got into a barney with Peter over dough ;D

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
Dont know who the bearded lump is but the skinny cunt is the director of Duco I think. Apparently he's threatening to run away with the money ;D

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
What a bunch of amateurs, my gawd (;D), all their dirty linen aired in public.
The promoter really was blotto, and as was obvious all along - no money in the fight, couldn't sell any tickets, TV not interested.
I almost feel sorry for Parker and his trainer - they've obviously been tied to this shower of shit and couldn't get out of it, speaking about their dream/journey of leaving NZ to chance the bigtime and ended up with this. Terrified they're getting robbed unless he chins him out. Long old week before they get in the ring.
@Primo Carnera - you/people can see my av then? Was testing a new PC that's all.
-
Get the other av back on. Way cooler, adds a bit of "mystique" to you. 😂
-
Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
How am I going to watch this fight?

I agree, I think you should change yours back as well, you didn't lose the bet and I don't like change.

That is funny on its own but even funnier when it is being said to @Master

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
This is strictly second division.
Apart from the early 1980's, when a succession of underachieving drug addicts were all working for Don King ..... can anyone think of a period in boxing history when either of these guys would be a 'world' champion?

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
Guys it's only £10 stop being so fucking tight and just watch the fight

As I have mentioned before it isn't really just £10 though is it
a few weeks ago Floyd v Conor was just £20
this is just £10
Jr in a few weeks is just £10
Groves in a few weeks is just £10
AJ is £20
add to that your £12 a month BoxNation
add to that your Sky Sports £20 a month

Then buy the fights you want. I won't be paying to see Eubank or Groves and I probably won't pay to see AJ either but I won't cry because they're on PPV. Don't like it then don't buy it... it's really that simple.

As I have said before I won't be paying, and I'm not crying
It's just a shame that I have an interest in all of the fights but I am going to end up missing them because they are on PPV and in my opinion they do not warrant it.
-
Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
That's a matter of opinion. I think this right does warrant a £10 price tag and I think we're lucky we didn't have to pay extra to watch Alvarez vs GGG but I agree that Groves and Eubank aren't PPV fighters.

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
Yet these cunts as promoters, tv companies and fighters cry when people illegally stream it.
-
Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
I'm not paying for it
I think Fury will win
think about that?

Therefore stop putting all these fights as ppv.
Haye v Bellend 2 will be PPV as well. Joke the state of the game in turning into.

I agree, but stop being naive. Do you think they would make these fights ppv if they didn't sell?
The ONLY way to stop shit ppv's is a complete boycott . Miles tried it and everyone took the piss.
And then mugs like your mate @erics44 buys everything so they keep chancing their arm.

This is disproportionate and additional money they are making with ppv so no matter how poor the take up they will make money from it. Sky advertise the fight 24 hours on their channel and people get bought into the hype and bull. There will be a load of contrived hate and animosity between the 2 but in the background the boxers will be laughing at all the mugs buying it. Wankers the lot of them.

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
A free stream is your best friend. I hope Parker wins.
-
Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
I can not believe they could not persuade channel 5 to broadcast this fight.
It just does not make sense.
Is this the future direction of boxing?

There first fight was PPV and people brought it including most pubs around the country. Seriously guys it's £10, there's really no need to get so upset about it.

This fight is a channel 5, ITV4 or Dave free tv event, not ppv.
Radio 5 live have it on anyway.

Is Hughie talking a KO just bravado? Anyone believe he's now found some punching power?

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
The pissed-up micky mouse promoter geezer attended the 2nd press conference (sober), slagged off Eddie, Tony Bellew and others for leading him astray, apologised to Peter Fury then thanked him for guaranteeing his SAFETY in England before he goes home (:D)
He (Team Parker) was granted the ref change. Terry O'Connell will now be a judge instead of ref (I kid you not, they got the ref sacked then accepted him as a judge ;D). Couldn't make it up.
-
Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
McDonnell is a better choice than O'Connor for Parker's team. O'Connor judging won't matter if Parker KOs Fury. O'Connor's history is shoddy. How badly has this fight been promoted?
-
Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
Maybe i'm a bit naive/cynical but the last thing i would do is publicly slander an official then accept his involvement in a fight.
If O'Connor is such a "shady" character he's been put in a tough position as far as the old impartiality stakes go. Hmmm....
-
Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
I'm not surprised with the British Boxing Board of Control running things. O'Connor has a history with the Fury's. His handling of Eubank Jr/ Fedotovs is one reason to worry with him as ref. His judging of Tyson's fight with McDermott is another.

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
Watched Parker-Ruiz the other day.
Is it just me, or is Parker's footwork really bad?

Parker is still a novice and learning the trade. Not yet ready for AJ.
I hope this fight does not come on at the same time as Linares.

Parker has had more fights and boxed more rounds than Joshua

Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
both guys are serious and dont mess about despite media pressure to do so. the weigh in was laughable. it was obvious that promoters and media wanted a scene. hughie tried, bless him, but it wasn't serious.jo parker is a first class professional who doesnt need or want all the hype. hughie is a good prospect. my view, parker stops hughie. either way it should be a great fight. well done promoters. you make the rest seem like amateurs.
roll on saturday. isnt boxing great
-
Re: Parker V Fury 23/09/2017
For me it pans out like this. Parker beats Fury. Ruiz beats Wilder. joshua beats Pulev. Ruiz beats Joshua. Parker beats Ruiz he's that good.
Maybe Im wrong but rarely.
