I certainly do hope he and his family are ok.

Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
It is amazing to imagine that absolutely no electric whatsoever no electric at all whatsoever on the entire island of Puerto Rico. The president of Puerto Rico could not even make a phone call and had to use a special satellite phone to make an announcement to the media to the international media like the Associated Press and UPI and Reuters. They cannot even get helicopters in the air until Sunday night to fly over the island and inspect the damage to the electrical system. It is unbelievable destruction. It is absolutely unbelievable destruction. And they are running there to Maine hospitals which are the only two hospitals which are still running at all in the entire country of Puerto Rico on generators

No electricity, no motorcars....not a SINGLE luxury.......
like Robinson Crusoe, as primitive as can be :-X
One thing from this storm that DID make me laugh was some fucking jackoff news reporter trying to cover Category 5 Hurricane Maria in the actual elements......needless to say she was blown over by the wind and then the feed was lost. It was funny in an "I can't believe there's somebody that's actually that fucking dumb" kind of way (thank you as always CNN), but it wasn't as funny as this....

Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
Damn the entire island out. Tito is tough, he'll be alright, miserable, but alright
-
Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
Electricity is shot all to hell but I've read that telecommunications are so-so at the moment. I know he's got a lot more important shit to be doing, but I hope he checks in sooner rather than later.
That had to be a rough ride through that monster storm. Hugo was the Hurricane that did the most damage around where I live, but the last Hurricane I was in the path of was Isabelle and it being a category 2 and was just going to brush us we had a kegger ;D. Didn't even lose power, but those winds will wear you out if you are outside....it's draining.
Right now the flooding is the biggest danger for Puerto Rico and hopefully that subsides very soon as well. The people always trying to do too much too soon are the ones who get themselves in trouble after a storm.

Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
He will be okay, but it is nice to not read any more of those god awful NFL posts.
-
Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
By the sounds of what he was saying, he seems pretty prepared for it all, so I don't worry too much. Might even be quite nice to be living with candles and tinned foods etc. Certainly a nice excuse not to go to work for a bit.
-
Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
I hope he and his family are safe.

Puts things into perspective. Hope he's ok.

Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
Damn 3-6 months without any electric now they are saying. Millions will die.

Don't be so dramatic. Millions will not die, a couple dozen maybe, but given that it was a category 5 storm that's not uncommon/unexpected. I certainly think that there will be tragedies from this, but there will also be some uplifting stories.
Also poor Mexico getting hit with a big Earthquake on the anniversary of a big Earthquake, I hope everyone down there is doing alright.
-
Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
Lyle this is not a Mexico thread give me a break don't try to cut into Tito fans thread with this nonsense.
Okay maybe Millions won't die since there are only 3.5 million in Puerto Rico but I will guarantee you that several hundred thousand will die from lack of water in the next 30 days or so

Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
A couple of months without electricity is a bit much. A week, fair enough, but a couple of months? It would also be a bit hardcore if half the population died because of flooding and a power outage. Personally I think Russia did it.
-
Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
It's always the Russians.
-
Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
ok lets hope for Tito and lets revisit this thread in a feqw weeks bcuz I think tens of thousands will die (oOK 10s of 1000s maybe not 100s of thousands)

Fuck me ! In less than a day you've gone from forecasting "millions will die", to "tens of thousands". By the end of today , it'll be 3 cats stuck up trees!
Please don't turn into a meteorologist.
"Today is gonna be a bright Sunny day, heading towards 90 degrees......oh wait a minute, I think we're gonna have a snowstorm, put the nation on emergency alert!! 😂😂😉
Ps. Still hope Tito, his family and his countrymen are ok.
-
Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
I have been inspired by @Primo Carnera and I will now go back to my original estimate that at a very minimum it will take anywhere from four to six months to have electricity restored in Puerto Rico and I am predicting right now without any doubt I can guarantee that almost 1 million people will die
-
Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
The Federal Emergency Management agency known as FEMA in the United States has recently completed a study which has proven that if there was a total power outage in the United States of America for up to 12 months that literally 90% of Americans would die. If we extrapolate those findings which I have some confidence in could the situation in Puerto Rico it has been determined this morning that Puerto Rico needs a minimum of 6 months to restore power and running water. If we go by FEMA's findings 6 months is half of 12 months so 45% would be half of 90%in terms of the deaths predicted therefore 45% of the population of Puerto Rico comes out to about 1.1 million people dead within six months. I do not want to create the false impression that I am hoping for such an outcome here I am only a voice crying out in the wilderness that this is going to quickly sneak up on the world who are not expecting or prepared for anything like this and that is a mass Calamity which is in the works @Gandalf @walrus @Primo Carnera

Absolutely no doubt that this is a very serious and sad state Of affairs. But reading all of the above, why did you downgrade your prediction from MillionS to tens of thousands and then back up?

From my conversations with him I believe (if I remember correctly) that he's in the northeast closer to San Juan I guess. The damn that broke is in the Northwest
-
Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
@Primo Carnera has made a good point. I briefly lost my sense of perspective and allowed myself to be influenced by the naysayers who doubted my predictions. He has made a great point though that I did finally come to my senses I will continue my prediction and never waver again.

Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
well @TitoFan it has been a full week since I started this thread bro, and if you cant even get to any WiFi in a week, then we already all knew it was pretty bad but this is really, really REALLY BAD bro and I hope you are finding some fresh water and safe food, as the refrigeration via the electric outage will be a bitch.

Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
He will be fine. It will be a crappy experience, but he will pull through. People didn't all die in the olden days because of flooding and a lack of electric. He will be roughing it, but a struggle is all it shall be. He will be back annoying me in a month.

Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
Isn't Puerto Rico an American territory? Does that make Puerto Ricans US citizens?
I certainly haven't seen wall to wall media coverage, like when Florida was hit. Nor have I heard much concern or help coming from the American authorities.
Or have I got that wrong?
-
Re: Titofan and his country have been hit very, very hard: waiting to hear from him!
Bang on the money there X. Trump is much more bothered by the mainland storms.
